I feel bad for the BA kids. They are an amazing football team, but we will take this win and hopefully one more. Let's go get the Tigers first state championship!!

I know that scores are more about matchups, than who beat who by how much. I was just checking to see how good Olive Branch was because i saw that they lost the week before BA. The team that beat them from Florida, beat Abilene, TX(#4 in the country) 24-21. That Cocoa team beat Olive Branch 14-7, and BA beat that same Olive Branch team 46-14. Can someone who was at the game last night please let me know if BA is really that good, or is this score deceiving? If they are that good, it seems that us and the rest of DII have our hands full. Congrats BA. Good win for TN football!!

I got out to see White Station whoop Maryville last year. i also saw an MUS-White Station score from that same year. Granted that MUS team was special.

Ensworth obviously,but i saw oakland last week. They may not be the best team in their division, but they would kill both of these teams. Not to mention what DII would do to them.

What do you base your comments on? The fact is BGA returns 4 starters on the offensive line. Sounds to me like you don't have a clue what you're talking about. And quarterbacks without a good line rarely put up good numbers. He is probably basing his comments on the fact that BGA will never be better than MUS, Ensworth, BA, or MBA. Even if they are the next best team(which i doubt) that puts them 5th. after recent years, you should be happy with 5th.

MBA and Brentwood Academy have both progressively weaker teams, as if losing talent to other schools in Nashville (Ensworth, obviously). Really? We(Ensworth) will be very good again next year. Anderson will put up the numbers that Darkwa did, but we have to find a way to get to the championship game! MBA will always be MBA. Very competitive and usually even better than most the teams in this division. Your statement of BA is what is astounding. If you have seen them play, you would understand that they are the most talented team in the state. i know that they have lost more games these past couple years than we are use to seeing, but when the play-offs come, they always show up. Probably the main reason they have been in 8 of the last 10 state championship games!! So don't let your bias for a certain school make it appear that you don't know what you are talking about. According to the USA Today archives since 1982 the Tenn teams to finish in the top 25 are: 1986 Austin East- 19th 1987 Jefferson County- 4th 1988 Brentwood Academy- 8th 1990 Lincoln County- 14th 1992 Gallatin- 16th 1993 Lincoln County- 18th 1994 Riverdale- 9th 1995 Brentwood Academy- 6th 1996 Brentwood Academy- 7th 1999 MBA- 16th 2000 Red Bank- 10th MBA- 19th 2004 Riverdale- 15th I thought that Jefferson County finished 1st in a poll in 1982(i think). With this said, it opens another debate. Who is the best team in Tennessee history? My vote would be between the 1987 Jefferson County and 1995 Brentwood Academy. What do you think?

You Father Ryan faithful are great fans of your team, but you all are very delusional! i would not expect you all to say that you think you will lose, but you all are acting like MUS is overrated. I can't wait to see your reaction when you realize that you were dead wrong about them. Father Ryan has had a great year, but they have absolutely no chance in this one. I took the trip to Olive Branch this past Friday and the officiating was disappointing. In a loss, a lot of the "what if's" cross your mind. I do believe that Olive Branch may have been the better team, but as far as being too athletic and too fast for BA, I didn't see it. The holding call happened on a 80 yd TD in which Tate (who is BA's third fastest running back) out ran Olive Branch's whole defense to the end zone. OB's fastest guy broke a long run and was chased down by #7 after juking him at the 20. The next play, BA's safety recovered a fumble and ran 98 yds and no one came close to him. BA could have easily won that game, but mistakes and OB's dominating offensive line was too much. I hope we can play Olive Branch sometime in the near future, because we are even more athletic than BA (Just ask MBA)!!

I stand corrected from my statements last week. Brentwood Academy appears to be the same team that they have been the last couple of years. They will find a way to lose games they shouldn't. All those great athletes and the outcome is the same. I feel sorry for those guys, because it must be hard to grasp what is going on. I really can't wait for them to come here now, because these Tigers are for real. Good win tonight EHS. I really enjoyed the show. Go TIGERS!! P.S. I was just talking about how BA looked regardless of opponent. I saw us against Oakland, and I heard what BA did to them and just wanted to see what they were like. Despite what anyone thinks of them, and I don't care for them myself, they can fly!

I went to the BA game, because I thought MBA would kill Maplewood. I had heard about BA's speed and wanted to see it for myself. I am focused on MBA now! I say 28-14 Tigers.

I went and saw the BA vs. Southwind game. WOW is all i can say!! BA is very explosive offensively. The biggest thing for me in this game was the athletes that Southwind had, but somehow they couldn't put plays together. They look like a great team, but definitely don't play that way. Anyway, i can't wait for BA to come to our house to play! I remember last year they hit us in the mouth, but this year it looks like they can run with anybody. This game was 45-0 at halftime and BA had at least 4 TD runs over 50 yards and a fly that #3 caught for another 60 yard touchdown. They scored on the first play of the series 3 times. But we get to play MBA first. GO TIGERS!!!

if im not mistaken, didnt oakland just have a coach that got caught recruiting a couple weeks ago. none of you were talking about recruiting on this board until you got beat. i believe oakland is a good team, and i hope they win it all. you just should not talk so much trash before the game, its just football.

Its amazing how all the smack talk turns to excuses when you lose! the game lived up to the billing and that great defensive line that all the oakland fans said we would see was definitely there. oaklands defensive line wasnt bad either. oakland will dominate in the watered-down 6A, but DII is different!!
