  1. Teague will be the toughest running test we have faced all season including the RB for LaVergne. Our defense is rolling and just finds a way to make things happen. Our offense is two dimensional and has grown some depth over the season. If we can manage to make Blackman go to the air then advantage Smyrna. Prediction later in the week.
  2. Who do you have in this one? And why?
  3. Any numbers on your QB? I agree Teague is a beast!
  4. Very good game for my Bulldogs last night! The first qtr Siegel came out and ran it down our throat. Had me worried for a bit. Then you could see the defense start to make adjustments. Coach Williams said it was the players who did that. Coaches didn't make any scheme changes. If that's the case then that is a sign of a really good defense. From the second qtr on they pitched a shutout. After Siegel scored I did not sense any panic. The O came out and answered. Moved the ball with ease the entire game. Turner, Watkins, Whittaker had some big numbers. But the number that stands out the most is the number 2. Our kicker Beaza had two TD saving tackles. He is Five foot nothing and probably weighs 120 pounds soaking wet. He stepped up with no fear a made some big tackles. Really proud of this team for stepping up and rallying after the loss of Perkins. Happy that the defense taking big steps each week and getting better. They are playing lights out. As for Siegel the best phrase I can use is one dimensional. They can run it pretty dang good. Huge O-line. And they block pretty dang good. But when you get behind like they did last nightyou have to air it out. They can't do that. They didn't have an alternate plan last night. Siegel's defense played hard but couldn't stop the pass and had trouble tackling one on one in open field. Lots of work to be done. But as usual a Wyantt lead team played physical and with pride to last whistle.
  5. Agreed. No time to start reading your own press.
  6. Good to hear that Teague is doing better. Concussions are scary. Had one myself when I was a junior in high school around 90. Concussions didn't get much attention back then. I am sure it a source of my short term memory issues and headaches. Glad to see he wasn't rushed back into the lineup. Hope no symptoms come back.
  7. Lol!! Doing a little scouting are we!!! Wish I could see some practices. Good news is if all goes well tomorrow I will be in town for this game. Go Dawgs!!!
  8. ND I hope your correct. For some reason I have a bit of anxiety for all regional games. We will need to come out and pound the rock. Got to establish the run game in this game and for future games. Watkins and Sims are really good backs but they also don't have as many carries as Perkins did.
  9. Where have all of the Siegel supporters gone? I know your program is going through some tough years but you still gotta defend your boys.
  10. With all of their troubles Siegel's win was still a good win. Having said that this game has the potential to get ugly. Siegel is struggling to score points and the Bulldog defense is operating pretty well and not giving up many points. With the exception of the Indy game Turner's passing has been on point this year and with Watkins and Sims carrying the load at running back the offense will put up a bunch of points. Last year good teams would stifle offensive production. This year we are able to move the ball down the field. Example was the Indy game. Yes we turned it over 7 times but we were able to move the ball. Put up over 400 yards. Last year we couldn't do that. My Prediction coming later in the week.
  11. As long as Stewie doesn't let Antioch hang around this should be a done deal. For the remainder of the season I see one for sure against Lincoln Co along with two possibilities against Shelbyville and Summit. Haven't figured out if Summit yet. Independence will be a tough game. Gonna have to play out of their skulls to win that one.
  12. No and No. This program is between a rock and hard spot. It's historically in shambles. Losing so much and the current state says to me that SS stays. I know that seems backwards. But what coach comes there to straighten this out? Maybe a rookie coach with drive and patience. But it's gonna take a complete overhaul of the program. Not just a change in one person
  13. This is odd to host a regional team during homecoming. However Riverdale looks like they have figured some things out. warren County looks like a team that is confused on every level. Not going to be pretty. Riverdale wins big. 42-7.
  14. Smyrna is headed to Siegel after a dominating shutout performance at Warren County. Siegel is coming off a solid win and shutout of Cookeville. Who has more to prove? My Bulldogs and that there is life after the loss of Casey Perkins? Or is it Siegel and trying to prove that they are not a one hit wonder?
  15. I agree with your Stewie pick. They seem to be headed in the correct direction. As far as LHS. That is par for the course. Comes down to leadership. And I mean leadership of all kinds.
