Believe me the wide margin of region 2 folks realize the Maryville is our kryptonite.

Bully I hate to say it but none of that matters. So if the shoe was on the other foot and they were the one beating us up but we had the team that won the state championship every year wouldn't we say that none of that stuff matters? We can't claim to be the best until we beat the best.

Turner has played well in the playoffs. He has gotten better all season. Decision making has gotten much better as the season has gone on. It will take another effort like last week.

Has Nolan done something wrong as principle? I know you guys feel he picked the wrong football coach. Besides that. Has he done something that would get him fired as a principal? I didn't know picking the wrong football coach is a firable offense. I know Riverdale's tradition when it comes to football. I get that. So please don't recite it again. Just curious if there is more to what we have heard on message boards? And yes I understand that some boosters may be driving that call to arms. But having trouble seeing why a principle gets fired or asked to resign because of a poor showing by a head coach that he picked. Doesn't the principle sign off/ hire all head coaches at the high school level. The reason I am ask is because maybe he isn't gonna be fired. Is he gonna retire? Resign?

Ok. Here we go. Another tough opponent in Oakland. My Bulldogs will defintely be the underdog. It's gonna be a battle for sure. Got to protect the ball and execute on both sides to get the win. Toughest test that we will have had in the playoffs so far. We can't expect and shouldn't expect Oakland to give us any respect based on our last two games. I hope our young men can block the hype and emotion of the science hill game and work hard as if they haven't earned anything yet. Gonna have to be ten times more focused and prepared than last time these two teams faced off. We stalled late in the second half in the first match. Lets here what you think and WHY.

LOD and W82. What are some specific things you need to see in order for you to be happy with the "NEXT" head coach? Just wondering where the bar is.

A couple of things I want to comment on. The onside kick/pooch kick was flagged for a penalty because the kid catching the had waved his hand three or four times signaling fair catch. Watch the film if you have access and you will see the signal was pretty obvious. And next was the size of the crowd. I believe we brought as many if not more fans than SHHS had last night. I know our student section was larger. I will have to say in some way I think playing Jefferson County help us prepare for this game. We had a coverage problem against Jefferson Count that they exposed. We got it fixed prior to this game. Just as you want throughout the year, we seem to be getting better each week. Question does the SHHS band always sit on the visiting side? What would have happened if we brought our band? Because the SHHS band have their own stands. It even has a banner marked "Science Hill Marching Band" to let everyone know that those stands belong to the band. After half time that is where they moved to. Just curious.

Huge win. Smacked them in the mouth from the first play and never let up. 70+ yard TD run on the first play and we rolled from that point on. Very physical effort. SHHS even put their band in our stands in the first half to try to disrupt communication. They have their own designated stands in one of the endzones. Nice try no dice. Made some halftime adjustments that nearly pitched a shutout in the second half. Gave up a garbage TD in the final minute. Very proud of my Bulldogs. This 4.5 hour bus ride back is more enjoyable with the win.
