As far as the fans over half are there for the band and care nothing about football. Then another fourth are there to socialize and to be seen and talk. Then the rest are there for football. Plus Tom Taylor broadcasts every home game makes some people just stay home and watch.

That is a shame that a school as big as DB doesn’t care about having a great football program. There are plenty of other schools in NETN that have bad coaches and have for years. As long as fans show up the higher ups don’t care.

Head Ref only called one foul all night and that was grounding. I will be Debbie Downer but game was tied at 13 and Elizabethton gave up a 74 yard run on the first play so their defense didn’t play great.

That is not true. If you are better than them why can’t you win 2 games?

Elizabethton has had 2 home games and neither game had great fan support. I will say this again like every year the first playoff game they will lose money because there will be more empty seats than filled ones.

What I wish could happen but I know never will is to have to the band perform at TA Dugger at 7 and let football be played at the High School at same time and then we all will see about fan support.

Friday a lot of fans just sat there but when the band came out they jumped up and started clapping even though they were out of step and I noticed that and I know nothing about the band.

The new season ticket holders in section AA have not been using their tickets.

This week just like last night almost a third of the home stands will be empty

Back in the 70’s and 80’s there were more students that attended EHS and less things to do so Friday night football was the main event in town. Also Tom Taylor hurts attendance some people can’t go which is good for them but some people that can go just set home and watch it for free. Also way in the past the band had their supporters but football was what made the people come now not so much. I agree on the old stadium I liked the atmosphere there a lot better. The seats and bathrooms and concession stands at the new place are a lot better. Parking is not great at either place unless you know where to.

Also putting the students beside the band I think is an awful idea. At least the students show up and stay for the whole game. You are correct about the band people. 14 to 7 and probably 35% to 40% of the so called fans left. Just wait until first playoff game when the band doesn’t perform there will be more empty seats than filled ones.

How many coaches does DB have? How many of them are below average? How many could the school replace at one time because I guess all are teachers also?

I will say this about the band and football. After Elizabethton band performs at the half at home games a lot leave. The game at the end of the season when the band has their state championship the next day and does not perform the crowd is awful.

It was a sloppy and bad played game by both teams. Elizabethton could have won easy and then again DB could have won a close game. DB had 5 turnovers and Elizabethton had what 12 or 14 penalties? DB has no chance to do anything this year but for Elizabethton keep him playing like they did last night and their season will end in early November.
