So what's the other water logged schools to do? Didn't know TTU had a first come first served policy. What type of turf or surface is at TTU?? Are these kids used to it? Will they need special shoes for it ?? I must say tho, choices of places to eat is much better .. and that's pretty important to some posters right?? lol As for me, I'll hang out in G-ville rain or shine, mud bog or not .. maybe it drains better there ... ya think?

Why change the site of the game so early in the week?? I find it really hard to believe that the state of the art field doesn't have proper drainage. It can't be to either teams advantage to play on the field @ TTU no matter how nice it might be. Could be more people from other schools may be able to attend the game .. who knows?? But it seems to be official, it's on the Carthage Courier website. Maybe I'm just a little ol' female but ... hmm ... trying to see the point ..

Nurse and Frogman, I must agree. It's easy to coach from the bleachers or hangin on the fence. If you have the time, knowledge and PATIENCE, then volunteer to help out in some way. Too easy to say "woulda coulda shoulda" and sit on your hands than get up and do!

I'm partial to blue and white , I believe in the blue and white, I believe in Coach Marshall, I believe our team will be up and ready. I'm really ready for homecoming the next week!! You could say I look forward and not dwell on last weeks mishaps.

Injuries are haunting Gordonsville football it seems, high school, jr high, hopefully all are on the mend and will soon be back on the field for the BLUE and WHITE!!

Nicely done Bulldogs, it's been a long and rugged road for the boys playing on the hill. From having no stadium and the fans sitting in lawn chairs to a nice field and stadium and now a great start to your season .. WAY TO GO!!

Warms my heart to see JC have any sort of following in football, the times they are a'changing on the riverbank I hope. A new coach, new schedule to a degree, brings back the days of the "Tri Lakes Conference" to mind. Way back in the 60's JC was a much bigger football town, homecomings were an event not just a week of pain in the neck stuff. Then came the 70's, the dawn of a new day called GIRLS BASKETBALL and ... well you know .. football, baseball fell to the side. I appreciate the kindness towards JC from the TC posters, hope your kindness extends to the Tigers as well ... Go Blue!!

Oh Termie dear, I spoke with Dennis about the FM-AM thing before posting, with all the changes in districts etc the away games being on FM is no longer a given. Previous seasons the when one school played on the home field the other school was away, this is no longer the case or so I was told, I haven't checked. I did catch the Gordonville game online with streaming live broadcast and it has better sound quality than FM even so, wherever the Tigers are coming from AM or FM, it's all good !! I do think your idea of creating a radio station in Tigertown is an wuuuunnnndeful idea, call letters could be WBLU and the station could be on Marshall Ave. lol

Can't attend the G-ville FCS game so I just called WUCZ to check and see (with high hope) if by some luck of the draw this game would be broadcast on FM. I thoughgt it would only be fair after last week the Tigers were on AM. During daylight saving time FCS starts all home games at 7:30 . Not good if you're a Tiger fan without internet. WUCZ management even went so far as to contact FCS and request an earlier start time because they felt it important to put the Tigers on FM this week. FCS refused. WUCZ airs a show after games from TRN I believe and can't delay it. So much for the Tiger fans that can't make this trip, if you have internet service you can find the live stream of it according to management .. next two weeks it's FM baby !!!!
