  1. Vandy only lost 9 seniors this year. Only big losses are Marve, Hayward and Barden. Not that would make you stop trolling or anything.

    MBA

MBA may have cheated. Blame Ensworth.

    MBA

I still don't understand what the motive for the player in question would be to lie about something like this. People in the other thread said it was a lack of playing time but I don't believe an instance wear this player was benched not because of injury.

    MBA

I don't think any kind of "Death Penalty" will be handed out. The last thing the TSSAA wants to do is deprive student athletes the opportunity to play high school football, unless there is more to the stories I have heard.
  5. You're getting two different players mixed up.
  6. I know, I was referring to johnsmith1's sentence.
  7. No, Corn is not transferring but there is another EHS sophomore that might.
  8. Conor McDermott to UCLA, Rodney Anderson and Drew Parker to Furman, Kennen Crenshaw to UAB, Wirth Campbell will walk -on at Auburn and Taylor Grant will walk-on at Richmond.
  9. If I had to make a list of the top players at their position in DII-AA this would not be it. I like that Caldwell and Anoor made it but there are definitely a few names on there that are kind of surprising. I think Josh Smith, Cory Batey and Drew Parker or CJ Beathard need to be on that list.
  10. Sorry, I thought that was the case. A player told me he was the OC and I talk to him whenever EHS plays BA and just assumed that was the case. I guess coach Matthews lied to me and the rest of the school when he told us how much he liked Ensworth. He's not that kind of guy, he liked EHS but he is a religious man. He played his first year of football at BYU before transferring to Texas A&M so maybe he wanted his kids to get a good christian education, nothing wrong with that. If I'm correct, he left MBA too so does that mean he thought MBA was an awful school? Does that mean he thought McGugin was an awful coach? Does that mean he would never want to send his kids there? No. As I should also add, he was not Ensworth's OL coach. Edd Caudill was, he was an assistant OL/TE coach, so he did get a promotion. But I don't have any credibility so you can troll harder.
  11. Agreed, you have to see the complete play to understand the play but the first picture does show contact before #1 got his foot down.
  12. I'm friends with Conor and I would have to agree with everything in this post.
  13. Matthews was hired in 2008 and only stayed one year. I loved Coach Matthews but BA gave him the OC position. Says he misses Ensworth but likes it just fine at BA.
  14. Caudill- Worked 15 years under Bowers, told me he just didn't want to coach this year. If he wanted to get away from Coach Bowers he would have done that a long time ago. Will probably go back to coaching at Ensworth soon. Pack: Assistant Coach at Ensworth < Head Coach at FRA. He said it was his calling to pursue a new opportunity. Coach Pack was probably one of the best assistant coaches in the state while he was at Ensworth, there was a lot of schools that wanted him. Hiett: Was simply offered a promotion that he really wanted out of state that probably pays better. Coaches leave ALL THE TIME. It's actually pretty incredible that a bunch of guys who took a 4 year old school through 2 undefeated seasons in their first 3 years of competing in DII along with a pretty good first season have stayed together this long. I'm surprised more of them have not been offered head coaching jobs yet.
  15. Original Coaches Ricky Bowers- Still there Roc Batten- Still there Scott Perkinson- Still there Brian Epps- Still there Edd Caudill- Stepped down as OL coach but is still at EHS and may return as a freshman coach. David Pack- Took the head coach and dean of students jobs at FRA Jason Hiett- Was offered a position as the head of technical support (a promotion) at a school in Ohio where he still coaches.
  16. Ok, someone explain this to mean: in a situation when both players have possession in the end zone, does it matter whose feet come down first. In the video it appears that both players have the ball and I believe Huesman was the first to get his hands on it but Dingess pulled it back into his chest. I believe the defensive player has to be down (as in knee on the ground) with full possession to be an interception. The video clearly shows that Dingess took the ball away from Huesman before either player was out of bounds or ruled down. Am I wrong to assume this?

Had a great year, averaged 92 and was MBA's best offensive player in my opinion. *Radir Anoor- BA could take this spot as well, in some games he looked more effective that Caro. He has lighting speed and was a real nightmare for defenses. The reason I put Fentress in is because he played effectively on both sides of the ball as a RB and a LB. A team leader that does almost everything right. **Nathan Renfroe is probably the best punter I've seen this year. Would not be surprised if he beat out Baker.

  19. Here's brief highlight video. Once again, you can't tell if Dingess stepped out or not before but he definitely had possession inbounds when the ref put his arms up. If he did step out it was by a toenail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CyjFK1Myys
  20. I agree, it's a close call. I hope he gets it.
  21. Edmiston has 5 interceptions, all came at big moments and also racked up a ton of tackles. There may be better options but from what I've seen live Rodney needs to be at least considered. I've seen both Beathard and Parker play many times, both are outstanding quarterbacks but Drew flat out got it done it the most critical moments, something Beathard did not do too well. If Beathard get's picked I will have no problem with that either. As for Dingess, I almost put him in for Hale. Like Parker, Dingess came through but Hale is just a freak and was McCallie's MVP in my opinion. Same for Josh Smith and BGA. There should be at least one more WR spot.

  23. I have the last play now, Dingess and Huesman definitely have duel possession inbounds but it is very unclear if Dingess stepped out of bounds before he went up for the catch because of movement of the camera. I'll try to find a better angle, I should have those highlights up Monday.
