  1. "The last meeting between these two teams exposed that in the 1st quarter. However, this is a rivalry game and MBA has potential to really come out and score some points, and their defense has been solid most of the year. But as stated earlier, Ensworth is the better team hands down. In order for MBA to win they have to cause turnovers and capitalize on all of their red zone opportunities. They really have to be mistake free and find ways to at least contain the Ensworth ground game. As for Ensworth, the Tigers will have to do what they have been doing all year, and that's run until the scoreboard clock reads all zeroes. They will also have to limit their procedure penalties as they average 74 yards a game in penalties (leads DII)." That is an excerpt from my blog. MBA did what they had to do in order to win, EHS didn't. Simple as that. EHS made mistakes, MBA didn't and capitalized on the opportunities EHS gave them. On the game winning drive the EHS defense was gassed and could no longer contain Lassing and the MBA short game and 43 yards for Fletcher is almost a gimme. In the first had a 24-7 lead right before Fletcher hit a long FG. They did exactly what they did not do in the second, they ran well and was able to stop every threat MBA had. Except on Lassing's TD pass which ended up being the game changer. It showed in the first half that MBA's confidence was not high like I predicted, especially when their students didn't decide to show up until the 2nd quarter. But big plays bought them a lot of it. Those guys played great did what they needed to do. Ensworth was out played and out coached. There weren't many questionable calls, not many dirty plays, and no cheating. MBA won fair and square. Honestly, this was the hardest game that a team could lose. Playoff game at home against your arch rival that you dominated earlier in the year. After the game it felt like Chuck Norris had kicked me in the stomach (minus death). It's a shame that Senior talent this great was to put to waste. This loss will stick for a long time. What are you doing right now sugarman10? Calling out teenagers on the internet? Lucky for you that you're able be a tool all year round. Once again, I'm not a manger. I'm a videographer, commentator and writer for Rivals High. I work some with the team so I can get to know them better as players and people.
  2. Here's my summary. http://ehsrumble.blogspot.com/2009/11/ehs-vs-mba-preview-dii-aa-playoffs-rd2.html
  3. I think Orleans will get it but I think Brunetti has more talent but just doesn't have the eye popping stats Darkwa has. Don't get me wrong 19 TD's and 0 INT's is impressive but Darkwa has moved into the top 10 all time rushing leaders in the state and was 7th in the nation in Rush Yards before he got hurt and the bye week. I think he is still in the top 5 for avg yards per game. I would've also liked to have seen Lassing as a finalist.
  4. So basically you didn't have another comeback. Nice. Too... Much... FAIL... in that statement. JK, in all seriousness I just didn't like it, it wasn't for me. Seriously, this thread needs to renamed Sh t that no one cares about.
  5. 1. I wouldn't post it if I didn't have any sources. That stuff did come out of an MBA player's mouth but I won't call him out. 2. Ok, I get it, I'm a "manager" with no football sense that has his own blog so I think I know about football but I don't. I write like I'm 6, I have no friends, I come over hear to show mye superoir edamacation, I only know about Ensworth and have no perception of reality. I'm interning at unapproved website and I have had one of my articles go national. I broadcast football, basketball, hockey and announce baseball. I have covered MBA, I have friends that go to MBA, I have 4 males in my family that went to MBA. I will be honest, I don't like MBA but I would never make something up and post it just to piss you guys off. I have talked to some MBA players, I have friends that play that have talked to BGA players. It might not be 100% true but that is defiantly the impression I got. If you want to call me out on this kind of stuff please come and say it to my face in all seriousness, I can talk to you before a game.
  6. coming from the guy (bradley hardcastle) who offers no logical reasoning behind his predictions, but instead says things like MBA players dont want to play EHS again, they want out of the season, and their confidence level is at zero, and, from talking to the players, this couldnt possibly be further from the truth. Of course this is not true about all of MBA. There are guys I know who couldn't be any more pumped for this game but I get the impression that some have very little confidence in the team and themselves based on their own remarks. I would never post something on here that isn't true or is based purely off by my Ensworth homerism, once again sorry if it sounds like I'm flaming. I don't know who you are or what you do so I have no idea where you are coming from. All I can say is from what I've heard MBA is not very confident that they can pull the upset. As for lack of logical predictions, just watch this years matchup from week 2 and tell me what you think of MBA.
  7. nm Edit: I don't think MBA is very confident and I think EHS is the better team, also it's at EHS. Prediction: EHS 42 MBA 21
  8. Ensworth has had 3 very close games this season: BA, Oakland and Smyrna. In the BA and Oakland games Ensworth was matched somewhat talent wise and both teams could of won those games. In the Smyrna game EHS committed 6 turnovers in the rain. 5 fumbled handoffs and 1 INT, Smyrna should have won that game. other than those three games EHS has been in complete control of their opponents. While their scores are lower than most ranked teams they run the ball almost every play and control the clock. In the past 2 games they have thrown the ball more than they normally have and have won decisively since they have more time to score more points. Ensworth is probably the best in the state talent wise even perhaps better than MUS. They have Richardson (probable 5 star next year) and Darkwa (25th in the nation in rushing, 7th before injury) but also factor in guys like Rodney Anderson who has potential to be better than Orleans during his Senior season. You should have seen him run against BGA, he would run over or hurdle anyone who crossed paths with him on offense. On defense he is the hardest hitter I've ever seen play in High School. Then factor in Clemson Commit Sam Cooper, D1 prospect Daniel McFadden, and many other guys getting looks from mid majors and Ivy league schools like Malcom Grigsby, Myers Beaird, Jacob Carter and Cory Sacks.

  10. Hunt Baker-http://ehsrumble.blogspot.com/2009/10/6-in-6-part-1-hunt-baker.html
  11. It wasn't his knee, he came off the field for a few plays and limped off the field but he's fine. He played the rest of the game. He was in my first period class this morning and he didn't have any kind of brace or anything like that.
  12. Darkwa is ok, he said he should be back soon. I think it was just a stinger.
  13. Yes, that was my point exactly. I was just referring to the part of your post specifically calling out rightnow as a Belle Meade boy as out of line.
  14. In what way was my post out of line? On one hand, it is a stupid argument but in your last line, you joined in the same stupid argument. Perhaps I didn't understand you correctly. What is the implication of "EHS isn't MBA? Do tell. 1. Because you called someone out for being jealous of what Ensworth is doing when really they couldn't care less. 2. I want this argument to end just as much as you do and if people who really don't care about the two schools like rightnow keep on writing stuff like "My nephew said..." it just keeps on going. 3. It doesn't really matter who has higher academic standards it just matters if players can can meet them at their respective schools.
  15. There is a big adjustment period between 8th and 9th grade. I know a lot of guys that have done what your nephew did and the work load is brutal but I know kids from different schools that say the exact same thing. MBA's junior school without a doubt is more difficult that Ensworth's upper school, no question. In high school it evens out, the classes are about the same, teachers may assign more homework than others but that doesn't necessarily make a school "better" or give it higher academic standards. In 11th grade students can take electives so it's up to the student to decide how they want to be challenged. I don't know what electives MBA offers, I know they a few "senior classes" but it doesn't really matter. It's the students decision if they want to take a "senior class" or a more challenging class or an AP if they have the grades. If EHS's academic standards are to pass a bunch of easy courses in your final two years then fine. Those kids are wasting a $20,000 education but they are meeting the academic standards and trust me athletes are not the only ones in those classes and plenty are in AP's. Even though gocat's post was out of line why even bring up a pointless issue in this stupid argument. Darkwa obviously is smart enough to make it through EHS like any other student. If he wouldn't make it through MBA fine, EHS isn't MBA.
  16. We think Orlean's injury is just a stinger, he is wearing a neck brace. He is getting x-rays. I have no idea if he will play next week against BGA but I would keep him out and save him for the playoffs.
  17. Yeah, I bet all BA students and teachers go by that every day. Kind of like how everyone at Ensworth is constantly searching for truth.
  18. So what? All those teams are decent and Ensworth beat all of them. Besides the Smyrna and Oakland games, EHS has been in control almost the entire way. EHS's only weakness is turnovers, if you can force them you have a chance but Darkwa will keep them in every game. When a team passes 4 times a game like they did against Ryan the game speeds up thus creating fewer scoring opportunities. The flu hit Ensworth pretty hard, especially the OL, Orleans is having to sit out entire quarters because of his separated shoulder and their best WR is still not back at 100%. Orleans is 8th in the Nation in total rushing yards and 2nd in yards per game average. Antonio Richardson will likely be a rivals top 100 player next season and Rodney Anderson could make it in the top 250 if he fully recovers from his ACL next season. In addition DE/TE Sam Cooper committed to Clemson. I think this is definitely top 100 material.
  19. I agree with wrangler, this should be a blowout.
  20. MUS 14? Not likely. 35-14 MUS.
  21. If you are referring to the margin a victory for EHS as weak then you obviously did not see this game. EHS made mistakes, most teams do and let Father Ryan back into this game. If it weren't for a penalty and a bad snap EHS is up 28-0 at halftime. EHS also has four of the best players in the state in the classes of 2010 and 2011. Ryan has played EHS close very year so far,I hought this year would be different but EHS made mistakes that let Ryan back in this one that could have been easily avoided but Ryan did not convert on any of them. Darkwa can keep EHS in any game with about anyone it the country with Richardson blocking for him. They wear down defenses like no other and have not been at full health since the MBA game. Look for EHS to bulldoze Baylor and BGA in their final regular season games.
