Oakdale at Wartburg O.S. at Coalfield Sunbright at Jellico how does every one see this week for Morgan County Football? i think it will be pretty good.Sunbright will take care of buisness easily at Jellico, Wartburg will probably get an early fight from Oakdale but should win big at the end, and i think Coalfield has the stuff to get a big win at home vs O.S.. the dogs came to play and play they did. offense and defense looked awesome but we had 2 special teams let downs(something to work on). i think we did good penalty wise. the main thing is they are 4-0 and still improving every week. players,coaches,band, and fans keep up the good work. it will take everyone to keep this going!!!

I think this game is going to come down to who tackles better. the first man there for Wartburg has to make the tackle or at least hold on till help arrives. Harriman can't let Wartburgs receivers get loose, and can't let them nickle and dime them up and down the field with the short passing game. keys for Wartburg======limit big plays on D and make sure you catch the ball on O.. keys for Harriman=====stop short passing game on D and make sure your running backs don't take many big hits so they can be on the field to finish the game. High scoring game could go either way.. I like Wartburg to win in the 4rth quarter.

blame it on the refs. the fact is you don't even like playing coalfield, the only reason you do is because you are in the same district. to bad you can't go independant then you could schedule all cupcakes.

CG's offense is the same as Wartburgs in fact Wartburg went to CG in the spring so CG could help them with the system. CG may run it better but I think with Oneida playing against it a week before it will benefit them. I don't know about CG's defense but I saw a tough one from Oneida. NO TURNOVERS ONEIDA 28 CG 20

what a game!!! congrats Wartburg, you played hard to the end and it took evry second to fight off a young but very good Oneida team. Once again the turnover bug got Oneida and I was very impressed with #13, he's one of the best I've seen and has a great season and future ahead of him. AS for Wartburg, I know they won the game but if they can't cut down on penalties it will hurt them down the road. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS

I think the best games around were in Morgan County last night. I went to the Wartburg/Oneida game and wasn't disapointed. It sounds like the Sunbright/Coalfield game was just as good if not better. In the end I think all of these teams will be in the hunt and I look forward watching all the teams from Morgan County.

yeah against teams that couldn't beat a good middle school team. tonight sunbright will be welcomed to the High School level.

this game has playoff implications so it really shouldn't matter to you...

i know alot of those young men from coalfield and they don't need oletiger to get them fired up(although a little extra motivation won't hurt). i think Walls,Luke,Dillon and Logan will spend lots of time in the sunbright backfield. sunbright 20 COALFIELD 33

I hate i'm going to miss this game. i think it will be agood one. i also think with the scrimmage schedule and opening game coalfield has played will give them the edge unlike sunbright who has scheduled weak it will probably slow them going into district play.

i saw the Oneida/DC film, if Oneida fixes the fumbles they will be hard to handle. Wartburg must decide to play the whole game and not take a quarter off. I'm really excited to see these teams match up this year.

oakdale is steady improving, but i dont think they will have the depth to beat os. wartburg will suprise alot of people this week but this game could still go either way. sunbright will finally have to play a real team and will be exposed by coalfield.

they are young but talented and will probably give you a good game

yes they had several players out including the quarteback.the backup was no contact because he was the only varsity quarterback dressed.as for the big play the reciever burned the corner pretty bad and there was no rush at all the quarterback actually threw the ball late.i dont remember how many sacks sweetwater was credited but you have to remember it was touch on the quarterback.wartburg also had both safeties sitting out 2 recievers and 1 starting d-end

wartburg and coalfield have played pretty good this preseason. i have also heard sunbright has played well.oakdale is once again small in numbers and have not shown very well. it will come down to line play and i would give wartburg the edge followed by coalfield. sunbright has the best passer in the county but wartburg has the best play maker at quarterback. best defense goes to wartburg while best offense would probably go to sunbright depending on their line play. that being said defense wins championships and here is how it will shake out. 1)wartburg 2)coalfield 3)sunbright 4)oakdale same results as last year!!!

#51 will play, the decision was overturned, and if you see the play on film you will certainly know why. I think this will be a great game. everyone should come on down to Coalfield and watch. Tailgating will start aroun 3:00.

midway may get a play or two to #5 other than that they will probably be shut down. oz wins big unless theres some kind of let down but I dont see that happening. midway 7 oz 41

The more you posts, the more I'm convinced you either were not at the game or you watched the film of another game. I have watched the game tape twice, the Coalfield TD called out of the end zone, was correct, his left foot hit the ground first and it was on the line, good call. The interception by OZ, there is no way of telling from the replay if the ball hit the ground or not, but the ref was standing right on top of that play. NONE of the 3 personal fouls on OZ were for late hits. You keep watching that film, maybe in your own mind, at some point your team will win. The TSSAA rep and the refs were notified of a player on YOUR team, by somone you've aready played this year, because of dirty play, this same player was going around all week prior to the OZ game talking about taking out the knee's of one of our best linemen. Pre-season all-state, yea right, he spent most of the game on his backside! I never said anything about any particular play but it seems like you exactly the ones they were.so maybe you have some doubts about the calls also.

i never said the game would have been won by coalfield,but it would have been a better game had the refs called it equal,not in coalfields favor, but equal. and talking about cheap shots,I believe oz had at least 3 personal fouls and could have been called for at least 10.... just watch the film.

oz seems to have a pretty good ball team.If they call tssaa before every game whining and keep the same officiating crew they may even win a playoff game.
