  1. BipBop, you see where allwaysright thought I was Heath, Eslinger I guess> I dont know any other heath's! (My skin is just a bit darker than his!) Tell this crazy boy, who am I, JAMES WILLIAMS, class of 1991, Ooltewah baby. Try to have a screen name and they got to ruin the fun. They are still hiding behind theirs! I'm giving you up BipBop, Julius Jones class of 1992, Tyner! I did it, dont be mad dawg, it dont matter. These boys dont even know how we roll! No one ever thought bighairyowl was Heath Eslinger. I think we all know which Heath he was talking about. Right coach?
  2. Strong schedule or weak schedule, it will all pan out in the end. Some teams will have to step it up the second half of the season while others may have it a little easier. We'll see how it works out.
  3. Bears get back on track and go 3-0 in the region. Bradley 21 Soddy Daisy 20.
  4. I agree young Copeland has done a good job for a freshmen. You are entiltled to your opinion but... His uncle was the last Copeland (95 or 96 I think) to QB the Bears and he lead them to the playoffs(5 or 7 OT Loss vs. Farragut). But lets not forget in 99 Chad Smith threw for over 1,000 yds. and a Region Championship with a 9-1 regular season record before losing in the first round of the playoffs and Al Morris who lead the Bears with 1,000 yds passing and 600 yds rushing to the QuarterFinals losing to eventual state champs Red Bank. Morris also started as defensive back and kick/punt returner. I think these were the last three times the Bears have been in the playoffs. So while young Copeland is doing a good job for a freshmen he still has a way to go. The good thing is he has three more years. Thats just my opinion. I also agree no need for parents to point fingers at other childern on the team. We need to stick together and support the Bears this week against Soddy Daisy. Go Bears
  5. Ooltewah why the hate? I can remember the day when the Owls were everyones Homecoming game. How about enjoying your glory days with a little class and not get drawn into the childish back-n-forth with those that don't have a clue. Ooltewah is the top team in our region and should contend again for state.
  6. Embarrassing! No not the game, its the Bradley fans that get on here and mouth off thats whats embarrassing. The coaches are great one minute and idiots the next??? No wonder BigHairyOwl is laughing. I am a Bradley fan and I am happy at this point we have a winning record and our players are learning how to win(now if some of our fans would learn). Winning is something we haven't had around here in 9 or 10 years. Some of you have just have no clue. Bradley is an improved football team from the past few years, but if you don't want to give the coaches credit for the job they have done so far then at least give them credit for the schedule that has given their players a chance to have some success for a change. D-Flo is a good coach he is working his butt off to have a competitive team and I think he's done that. Becoming a state power isn't going to happen overnight. We are 4-2! We've lost 2 competitive games to 2 good 3A teams and we have 4 wins against teams that arent very good. We are far from being a state contender but we are not that far from being a good football team. It's just not going to happen overnight. So if you are a Bradley fan then support your team with some class WIN or LOSE. Go Bears!
  7. First I want to say that coach D-Flo has done a good job. I think the schedule he made for this year was the right schedule for a program that has struggled the past several years. While I am happy the bears are winning again, I want to be real here so I will agree that while the bears are 4-1 the true tests are still to come. Of the 4 teams BC has beaten none have a winning record. Polk which is a very good 3A team is the bears only defeat. This week they play another good 3A program in Loudon. I'm not sure if they are as good as Polk or not. But the true tests yet to come will be the Ooltewah, McMinn Co. and Soddy Daisy games. If they win 2 or 3 of those games then I will say they are for real. If not, I say they are still better than past years and are moving in the right direction. Good luck to the bears. Have you noticed all the "old" BC fans that have resurfaced? Where have you been? True fans support their teams in good times and bad. Either way its been nice see the support the team deserves. I hope if things don't go as well the last 5 games as it has the first 5 games you all will continue to support the bears.
  8. Rhea is better than their record shows. Bradley is on a roll but the their schedule is starting to get tougher. Bradley wins on the road by 14.
  9. Soddy is one of the better teams in the area. Walker Valley will have to play its best to win this one.
  10. Clevelandblueraiderfan, You are right. Alot of posters on here don't consider that teams can and sometimes do get better as the season goes. I am sure that Cleveland is much better now than they were week 1. With that said it should be a be a good game as it usually is. A close game, McMinn by 1.
  11. The bears are on a roll. 3-1 not to too bad for a program that has been struggling for the past several years. We need to keep it real though, our 3 wins are against teams with losing records (Coffee 1-3, Cleveland 1-2, East Ridge 1-2) and our only loss was to a very good but smaller 3A school Polk Co. Even though Rhea is 1-2 I think this will be our first real test. With Rhea playing state ranked 6A Bearden close they are bound to have confidence playing at home against Bradley. Good luck to the Bears this Friday.
  12. voltn, It is good to see the bears finally winning again. It has been 20 some years since they last beat Cleveland and I know its been since 2000 that they had a winning season. I think some of our fans including you may have forgotten how to win. I know the coaches are telling the players to lose with class and to win with class. It is advice I think we all could use. Just a note: Bradleys has lost to a 3A team, beaten a 6A team that was ranked next to last in 6A and now they have beaten what may be the worst (5A) Cleveland team ever. Next the bears play 4A East Ridge a team they should whip. Lets keep things real because we still have Ooltewah, Soddy Daisy, McMinn Co, and Rhea Co all 6A schools and remember only 2 6A teams get automatic bids to go to the playoffs. Congrats to Coach Floyd for bringing a little excitement back to Bradley football. Good luck to all three local teams the rest of the season.
