  1. Charger Football games are broadcast over the web. Go to www.homegrownradio1220.com to listen to games. Go BIG BLUE!
  2. What it tells me is that Central was good enough to miss 14 foul shots and STILL win. Also tells me the Chattanooga News Stations agree. Only thing that stood between the Chargerettes and the win was one botched call. There is no changing the call. We don't like it but have to accept it. And to quote the response of one of our favorite Chargerettes "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28" Good luck to the Cannon County Girls in the 'Boro.
  3. Video tells the whole story (from Channel 3 News): http://www.wrcbtv.com/story/21449222/mcminn-centrall-girls-lose-on-questionable-buzzer-beater
  4. I agree - team brackets definitely do not always indicate who the "true" winners were! This is Channel 3 News story regarding this shot: http://www.wrcbtv.com/story/21449222/mcminn-centrall-girls-lose-on-questionable-buzzer-beater
  5. Congratulations CAK and best of luck bringing home the Gold Ball!
  6. alcoachoochoo...nothing would have been said AFTER the game either if your low life coach wouldn't have made the slanderous comments to "The Daily Times" paper. Just a way to cover his butt for underestimating our 5-5 team.
  7. And I am GLAD my children didn't go to Alcoa and get coached by a cowardly coach...one not man enough or have enough sportsmanship to shake our teams hands. Coach Goodin has never spoken badly about any other team or their coaches we have ever played. No matter how mad the parents or team gets, he never speaks badly. This game is FOOTBALL, not ballet. The bottom line is Alcoa was not prepared for our team. They underestimated our team and the news articles were written to cover his own rear. It made him look bad for a 5-5 team to come in and keep his score down. He was not MAN enough to admit that. If Central was truly as "dirty" as the lies published, don't you think they would have had a 10-0 season??? Seriously, we got beat by Sequoyah, Polk, Kingston, etc. THAT is what makes Alcoa look bad. Excuses, excuses, excuses. That is all I hear.
  8. Shame on Alcoa's Coach for the lies he had published and blaming "dirty play" on his teams inability to run all over our team and naming their score. I have no respect for a Coach who doesn't shake hands with the opponent and who puts the blame on someone else. In the end, Alcoa won and that's all they needed to do to advance. There was no need to have such an article published. I personally think the news article should be investigated for slander and the article should be pulled and an official apology issued by the newspaper and Coach Rankin. Just curious...if the Chargers were truly "dirtier than crap"...don't you think their record would have been 10-0 instead of 5-5? I think THAT is the true issue here. He can't cope with the fact that a 5-5 team came up and gave them such a tough game.
  9. Well said logcabinman! I agree with your post and also hope our boys can earn respect Friday night. I know they will give it their all. GO CHARGERS!
  10. Not a surprising comment from a Polk County fan. Very classless.
  11. Congratulations Chargers!! Praying for the young man from Stone Memorial who was taken off the field in an ambulance. If anyone can update us, please do so.
  12. We can fight this battle all day, but that is history. The 2009 teams and their stars are long gone. What we really all care about now is the game this Thursday night. I say Polk will be in for their eye opener this year and the Chargers win.
