Hey lewis county,, do u remember facing mckenzie rebels in 01...3rd round of playoffs.. was my senior year ,, i believe score was 41, 14.. not bad for a garbage west tn team!!

most definitely O line has improved tremendously.. It all starts with them .. I too like the three back system, keeps them all fresh and all 3 are real good backs.. I am glad eaton is back out there, he brings alot of fire this team needed..

i guess humboldt is terrible too .

talked to Chavez after game he isnt hurt .. just got breath knocked out of him.. he is getting better at rb every game.. does everyone else see this too??.. this kid is a sophomore..

rebels looked like the rebels we are used to seeing tonight... everything looked good 3 good rbs, line gave big holes and luke had a near perfect game... go big red..

we need this game.. mckenzie should be focused.. the two starters we got back last week seemed to make a world of difference.. go rebels

Congrats to humboldt on your win.. i said before game they were good team.. ill say after the game they have a good team... are they beatable?? yes they are!! unfortunately mckenzie just didnt pull it out... I am very proud of how the rebels played with heart for the last three quarter and now we have something to build on going into our district game with bruceton tigers.. Once again good win for Humboldt, no excuses u guys just made one more play than us.. good luck to humboldt the rest of season and maybe we will meet again.. go rebels

Everyone doubted the rebels, mckenzie played really good last three quarters.. a batted ball that falls right into a humboldt defenders hand.. game over.. hats off to humboldt got a good team.. rebels lets get back at it next week for a big district game.. go rebels

i agree 100%. Huntingdon is good and i am not taking that away from them.. but going into last week i believe 3 out of 4 teams they had played were winless.. Riverside, Union city( i think were winless), and trenton. And bruceton has won 2 i think.. Huntingdon has gotten alot better and they may beat camden, but until this week they have not played anyone.. Huntingdon has alot of weapons and i can see how those games could be over in first quarter..

guys the one that is saying we are gonna win 14 to 0 is from dresden.. hogheaven is not mckenzie rebel fan.. just clearing that up.. we at mckenzie have some ,not much, but some common sense to know that humboldt wont be shut out..

good post.. I hear nothing but good from coach Bland.. I played for Comer in 01 we made it to 4th round of playoffs for first time with a 13-1 record.. mckenzie has never had had much success in football and Coach Comer arrives and turns the program around.. Playing for coach comer was one of the biggest moments in my life, we all look at him as a father figure and i still go shake his hand after every game..his deep runs in playoffs made alot of people around here crazy for football and has turned this town into a football town. We are down this year losing alot of starters last year, although 3-1 i will be honest, they werent pretty.. Mckenzie will have their hands full friday night, i am aware of that and so is comer.. but we will still gonna play the game anyway.. sorry for the anger Prez, just trying to protect my old coach.

Humboldt Has several backs that have extreme speed, i think that gives them the edge against us rebels.. i hope we can come up with a good gameplan to get the job done.. hope for an injury free game for both teams.. go rebels

i dont know a alot about coach Bland.. i do hear alot of good things about him.. How would u rate a coach,?? would it be by his win percentage??? Coach comer's is Pretty high Prez, Coach comer has been to the fourth Round 6 times out of ten years. Im just saying... and it aint that mckenzie is loaded with talent, we are usually undersized and slower than most teams we play.. just sayin prez, what are u sayin

Humboldt has one heck of a squad, no other way to say it... Mckenzie has alot of things to get better on.. If mckenzie plays the way they did against gleason, this game will be mercy rule in 3rd quarter with Humboldt demolishing them.. the performance vs gleason was the worst performance i have ever watched mckenzie play and i have watched every game since 98.. That game (even though we won) was absolutely embarrassing.. their is no excuse for a performance like that.. with that being said, i hope it was a wake up call for these rebels.. I am the biggest rebel fan u will find, but i will call it the way i see it. They lack leadership on and off field, nobody will take charge, they just walk around moping between plays, dont show any swagger as u have seen in past years.. Mckenzie has talent and alot of young talent but someone needs to step up and take charge and lead team in right direction. Mckenzie would have to play a perfect game to beat a Humboldt team with so much speed and strengh, hope rebels can pull this one out, ill be there pulling for them win or lose.. go rebels

I agree Duck, if we lose 3 or 4 games this year, everyone still needs to support the kids, those young kids have worked there butts off all year long and we need to support them.. i hope these mckenzie fans are not spoiled with these 13-2 13-1, 12-2, seasons because that is hard to keep that up.. this year if we win 7 games i will be tickled pink.... we have 3 seniors playing now that had alot of playing time last year, vinson, taylor and hicks, the rest of them are at their first go, and are improving every week.. i am not making excuses just stating facts, rebels are still finding ways to win.. defense gave up 14 vs. westview, 7 vs. dresden and 0 vs. trenton.. D is pretty solid..

lol i dont wont to hear any team talk about being young.. Mckenzie will be starting 8 sophmores.. that is hard to compete with that many young kids.. if someone wants to beat mckenzie they better do it this year...21 chavez rb,lb,82 kelley DL,TE,66 Harris OL, 63 Maxwell OL, 40 Smith, FB, LB, 47 Alexander LB,FB, 15 Lowrance DB and some juniors that start also.. it is exciting to see these young guys mature each week, Mckenzie has alot to look forward to in times ahead..!!!

week 8.. we are preparing for week 3 now.. Huntingdon is good, there is no hiding that,, they have 16 seniors... we will give it our best shot week 8.
