  1. Wow, that is the best you got?????? Bet even the other officials don't want to admit to knowing you.....
  2. I have spent the majority of my life in the gym, between playing, coaching, training, even officiating at the MS level for a couple of years about 20yrs ago. Been around the block plenty, and I call it like I see it. You don't like it, well get over it. Pull up you big boy underwear and grow up.
  3. I spend quite a lot of time in both HS and MS gyms, and honestly I can't believe some DA would come on here and try to say that officials are there one hour before game. I don't care what the TSSAA requires the only time officials are there 1 hour before the start of a varsity game is when they are there for a JV or freshman game earlier. At least 1 is usually there 30 min before but I can't remember the last time I even saw all 3 there that early. And as for MS officials, most are not there even 20 minutes before tip. You can blow smoke all you want, but if anyone needs to hear from Chris Carter it's you.
  4. Wow, what a moron. No where did I speak of an "over the back" call. I mentioned over/back as in one goes into the front court and established position and then steps back into the back court. You should probably learn from the old adage that it is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak (or write) and prove it. Have a good day.
  5. I am sure there was some whining, but our coaches at least had the class to not lay down in the middle of the floor and act like a 2yr old when we felt wronged. Of course maybe that is what you guys see as acceptable behavior!
  6. So out of control? Exactly how many times did that kid blow by the Cleveland D and get to the rim? He had his head and shoulder past the kid who tripped him, and it was called a block, not a trip, and I see blocks called multiple times each game. Honestly getting about tired of all of the crying and whining from Cleveland folks. I have won and lost games over the years in some cases on calls that I felt screwed my kids over, and never have I laid down in the floor and pitched a fit like your coach did. Nor have I followed the officials across the gym screaming. Never played for a coach who did, and honestly I can't remember a successful local coach in either HS or even Elementary who did. If that is what you consider leadership and setting a proper example in the greater Chattanooga area, then hey bully for you! As it is, proud of and for our Panthers, and the classy coaches that we have!
  7. How many hand checking calls were called on SMHS? How many were called on Cleveland? BTW how many times did Simmons "trip" during the game? Real simple answer to that question.
  8. Sorry but I do not video the games, just go to watch. Wish I did.
  9. I doubt most coaches would have responded similarly, I think most coaches are adults and would react as such. That said, I would love to see his response after watching that video, as well as seeing his response after watching a video of his antics, and then hear what he has to say for himself afterwards.
  10. Well I am not sure I would qualify as unbiased as I am a SMHS fan, but I was about 30ft away when it happened. I am sure it didn't appear to be a huge foul to the Cleveland faithful, but when he went around the Cleveland defender the defender tried to slide in front of him and clipped his front leg. He was almost around the defender and so he was basically tripped. So did he "travel" well he probably did when he fell, but would he have fell if he hadn't been tripped? Well probably not. There were far less intrusive fouls called for Cleveland earlier in the game. The Cleveland coach's hissy fit after the game was sad. It was a tremendous game but screaming at the officials after a loss is not the kind of behavior that a coach should exhibit.
  11. Proud of my Panthers last night, and proud of the Jets too they play hard. Now its time for 6AAA to take care of business. Good luck to all Sat night. Take care of business and lets all meet back in Cookeville next week for a replay of the district tourney.
  12. Or just not smart enough to understand sarcasm.
  13. Sorry to have missed all of the chatter. I have a lot of time over Christmas break that disappears in Jan with teaching, coaching, and individual workouts that I do for some kids. Don't worry though, I will be at CHS this weekend rooting my Panthers, and Jets on.
  14. Oops no one had the nerve to bet before CHS was missing a couple of players. Of course CR was probably loaded for bear after coming to SMHS Sat night!
