  1. Indy Nation, the entire week has almost past and none of you has written about your " highly recruited D-1 Line Prospects " as you all did the last time before FHS gave your talented tin men a beat down. This week's talking points center on the notion that " Indy has nothing to lose " Give me a break ! ! What about the fact that with the excepton of # 78 for FHS your entire Line towers over Franklin's Line. Indy has the talent to beat Franklin and go all the way to Cookville. The only roadblock is and will continue to be coaching.
  2. INDY NATION, please stop drinking the Kool - Aid ! It's not 2007. It's 2009, and your team did not beat one 6A District opponent this year. What has changed since FHS beat Indy 21-0 to make any of you believe that Indy has a good opportunity to win ? As for FHS the last time the Rebels defeated Indy Ford and Lee were about 80 per cent in terms of being physically prepared to play. This week they will be back to 100 percent. This will be bad news for Indy this coming Friday. PS. INDY NATION, please try to stay for the entire game this time and don't run away when Indy folds again in the 3rd Quarter.
  3. INDY DID NOT WIN ONE GAME AGAINST A 6-A DISTRICT OPPONENT ! AGAINST THEIR THREE MAJOR RIVALS ( BHS, FHS, RHS ) THEY WERE 0 - 3 ! ! INDY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REWARDED WITH THIS WILDCARD SELECTION ! ! ! In terms of talent IHS has skill players like Heckman and Standard complimented by lineman such as Farrell and Kelly. To be certain IHS has plenty of talent. The problem is coaching from the pre - season to the debacle against Ravenwood Eubanks just can't measure up when it really matters. So IHS may well win it's 1st round match-up only to be beaten again by Franklin in the 2nd round. Indy Nation you are stocked with young talent ( Prado & CO.) but as long as Eubanks is " managing " the game the rest of us in Williamson Co.can rest easy knowing the you will never realize your potential.Good Luck in West Tn. Your next beating by Franklin will begin promptly on Nov. 13 at 7 pm.
  4. INDY NATION IS A TOTAL JOKE ! INDY NATION HAS NOT BEEN SEEN OR HEARD SINCE THEY ALL DEPARTED FROM THEIR STANDS DURING THE 3RD QUARTER OF LAST FRIDAY'S ROUT OF IHS BY FRANKLIN ! ! !
  5. To: i650JFO You are Delusional ! ! Siegal is 3-5, Hillsboro is 2-7, and MBA has not beaten anyone of consequence " the scoreboard didn't show it against Franklin but we could have matched up with Franklin " THE FACT IS SIMPLY THIS - INDY DIDN'T MATCH UP. The Indy offense failed to cross the 50 yard line in the 2nd half. Franklin ran over Indy's " D-1 Line Prospects "the entire 2nd half. And Eubanks was out coached. Indy you can salvage the season by defeating two very average teams and than limp into the play -offs as a Wild Card.
  6. Lavergne is 4&4 and going nowhere. This is just the type of team Indy has beaten this year (Hillsboro,Centennial,Seigal, MBA ) So we can all expect Indy to win this one. It's the games like Brentwood and Franklin where Indy fails to measure up.
  7. Where is Frankly My Dear, Mackbrown, and Indyboss11? We haven"t heard a word from any of you since your Eagles got beat yet again by FHS ! Whether it's Franklin or Brentwood your team simply can't win a BIG GAME ! ! Good luck against LaVergne and Ravenwood I'm certain your " D-1 talent " will show up big time against these two teams .
  8. To: Indy Boss 11 & All of Indy Nation Let me enlighten you as to the recruiting process. Each year high school coaches are contacted and asked to recommend players they believe can play D-1 football. The colleges than follow-up with letters to the recommended athletes. Eventually the D-1 school via game film will make its own evaluation of the athlete which the high school coach has recommended. As for Coach Eubank's recommendation the proof of his inability to judge what constitutes D-1 talent was quite obvious Friday night. All of the Indy D-lineman lack D-1 quickness - that is the lateral foot speed required to play D-1 football. Against FHS they were physically beaten in the second half because of their lack of physical conditioning and HEART.We all witnessed the total beat down which the FHS defense & offense administered to IHS in the 2nd half of Friday's game. This lead to a defeated INDY NATION fleeing the stands by the end of the 3rd Quarter.
  9. To : Indyboss " a line full of D1 recruits" your total lack of football acumen is certainly showing as there isn't a D1 recruit at any Williamson Co. public school this year.
  10. To MumboJumbo Without question Indy could easily be 5 - 1. However, IHS could also easily be 2 - 3 consider if HHS went for a 1st down instead of puntng late in the game last week or if the Segel reciever had not dropped two potential TD passes in that game. That being asserted all in all Indy is well positioned for the play-offs a win against Franklin and in all likelihood they will be the #2 seed ; a loss to Franklin and Indy will probably be the Wild Card.
  11. Now that INDY is on a roll it's finally time for all you front runners to show your support. The win over Hillsboro virtually assured INDY a play - off spot. My question is simply this how deep into the play -offs will INDY go ?
  12. To Mindlesschatter, Please consider the following : 1. '" He's (Ford) not the only one carrying the ball " Please know that I am all for 2,4 and 5 carrying the ball 40 times between them against Ravenwood. 2. " long runs against bad defenses" Please demostrate how this has "skewed" Ford's average per carry.Be specific and do not generalize. Provide the facts ! In terms of average yards per carry it is important to note that 2, 4, and 5 all average over 4 yards per carry. This is simply a statement about success running the football. 3. All season the FHS offense has been confronted with 8 defenders in the box. Why because the FHS recievers can not achieve separation and the QB is inaccurate throwing the ball down field. A 39% completion percentage will not get the job done in any league. 4. " as balanced as Ravenwood " Please tell me that Ravenwood at 2 and 3 is not FHS"S benchmark this season.
  13. I was just reading the Williamson AM and noticed that Alex Ford has 61 carries for 630 yards - an average of 10.3 yds. per carry, but only 10.2 carries per game. The same stats. reveal that the FHS QB has a 39% completion percentage. A team can not hope to have a successfully balanced offense ( 50% pass, 50% run) when the passing game has a 60% failure rate. This leads me to an obvious question why doesn't the FHS staff place the ball in Alex Ford's hands more often ? PS. The Williamson AM did not include the Tackling stats. this morning for any FHS defender. the totals for Timmy Wilson should be included - he has certainly earned the recognition.
  14. To: Longhornshookem For the past several weeks I have sat on the sidelines and read your posts. You have for example, written that to be successful the offense must throw the ball when the defense has 8 defenders in the box.You have further posted that it was important early in the season for FHS to work on the passing game to prepare for stronger future opponents. Well, Mr. Longhornshookem, FHS just played a previously unbeaten opponent and beat them by running the football against 8 defenders in the box. Yes, I know that it was a rainy night and because of the inclement weather FHS could not throw the ball. But if my memory is correct FHS posted a big win 2 years ago against Dickson Co. by running the ball on a rainy night against 8 in the box. And last year FHS put up 21 points quickly running the ball against a Ravenwood team with 8 in the box on a rainy night. So I will be praying for rain this coming Friday because history demonstrates that in the rain when FHS runs the ball on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd downs one of two things happen - a FIRST DOWN or a BIG PLAY ! !
