After watching some Beardon film and their Dline I dont like our chances.I hope I am surprised but Ill be shocked if we score more than 10pts.The Beardon offense dont look great but they played a really good defense.Oak Ridge will struggle to get more than 30 or so rushing yards unless Tarwater runs more this week.Another 2 way starter on the lines being out only makes our biggest problem worse.Maybe 13 or 7 can pull some magic off for us.Still Im going to be leaving vacation early just to help cheer them on

I agree. Sometimes you just dont have the players to improve or be really good at some spots.I can understand the DL not being great right now with all we lost.The OL on the other hand drives me crazy.We can bring back same 5 every yr and nothing changes.I just want an avg OL and Ill be happy.Maybe Ellison has some tricks to help mask it

Can the Oak Ridge offense get the running game going vs a good defense? I have little faith but hope to be surprised.Can Heyward go for 200 plus every week and carry us?Can Minor somehow have another good defense after losing all those players from last year?I got to give 10 credit to be a small 10th grader he plays big and will be a heck of a player as he gets older.I think Beardon will have advantage upfront on both sides and thats why I give them the edge. Hopefully our coaches learned some things from week one but we will see.

Good game for Mavs also.Played hard vs a loaded team and I respect AC for going out and playing tuff non region games instead of "cupcakes" like some coaches do just to get wins.This game will help yall a lot when it matters most

Thats a big loss on defense and at WR.Maybe it was him I heard was out for covid tracing.We had a lot of 10th graders out there on defense that will be dang good players.That is a heck of a team to be your 1st game with Gary and veteran Oline

Your right.Just think with the playmakers we have had just since Gaddis has been back and what they wouldve done with a good Oline.We have had some good teams and cant imagine how good we wouldve been last 7 years or so with a great oline.We are loaded at RB this yr and WR but I fear it will not matter

I agree.And if we are real honest under Gaddis the Oline has been awful.Lucky for us we have been saved by great players who go and make a play on offense.I seen some stuff I liked from new OC tonight that will help but somebody has to get the message that we will never reach our potential until we fix the oline.I dont care who the OC is if you are that bad at blocking its not gonna work.And maybe one year work on it before the season starts instead of changing everything as season goes

Really proud of the fight my Wildcats showed tonight.I thought SD would win by double digits but Oak Ridge without 2 D1 players playing couldve won.I feel like we made so many mistakes and shouldve got blown out but kept fighting.Heyward still showing he is real deal and Tarwater improved a lot as game went on.So props to all the players but now the bad.Im with Sweet on the oline.It is a joke how bad they are yr after yr.Its also a joke how our players dont look prepared on so many different levels.When will we learn and quit looking like crap to start the season.So many little mistakes that well coached teams dont make.I better stop because the boys fought hard and dont wanna be to negative but 23 yards rushing with a RB like Jai is a joke and its 100% on coaches to fix it after years and years of same trash.

The only hope for my Wildcats to be front runners this yr is if they get a lot better as the season goes on.I look forward to watching to see how it goes from week 1 to 10.

I guess I mean to all the people who expect Oak Ridge to be really good again this yr because of what we return.All I hear is how we have all these weapons back but they fail to see all we lost on defense.Even Gaddis in the paper talking about the turning point of last yr was KJ being healthy during back half of yr.But when you look at it the defense got so much better after Farragut ran up and down field all night.This yr we have 2 great LBs and a lot of guys who have to figure it out fast.Good news is we have Minor and he seems to be the best Ast coach we have had.As far as offense goes we have the skill guys if we can block and the QB learns fast.I hope he is fast because he looks small and we need him to hold up

The Oak Ridge defense was so underrated last yr.Solid Dline led by J.Adams who was so important in many ways.By end of yr we had 2 really good CBs and good safeties.From what Ive seen so far we are gonna struggle on defense at least 1st half of season.I think the offense can and will be very good but it will also take some time with new QB and OC.I thought this Oak Ridge team has a lot of potential but disappointed in how far behind we look.I think SD has a good team and really wants this one bad after last yr and wins like 35-16.Does anybdoy know if 99 is back for SD from last year.If not I might make game closer.He abused our line last year

Oak Ridge only had the starters in on defense for 2 series and Fulton scored on a long TD pass.Most of Oak Ridges starters minus the QB played a lot more and didnt score.Oak Ridge ran the ball decent but couldnt throw at all.Fulton passed good but not much on ground.Fulton Oline dominated the Oak Ridge D upfront.They was blowing play dead if anybody got near QB which hurt Oak Ridge but I dont remember Oak Ridge getting any pressure on the Fulton QB.As soon as Oak Ridge put 2nd string defense in Fulton went right down field and scored.Then it was nothing for a while and many subs later Fulton scored after a pass intf call.I left after that.Seems like same Fulton teams from past couple of years but a little better.I think Fulton could get a big win or 2 and but also lose a game or 2 they shouldnt.

For sure the best high school game in Tennessee Ive ever seen live or watched on tv.The great players and the build up plus the unreal crowd was the best.I wonder if those days are gone because back then it seemed like high school football meant so much more than it does now.The crowd was just massive

I dont remember anybody from either middle schools that I think will start or have close to impact Heyward did as a freshman but should be a solid group and more balanced than usual.I look for some guys from freshman class last yr to breakout this yr.That was the group that won the Championship at Roberstville.Cant go by results of freshman team last yr because they lost starting and backup QB in like the 1st game.Dozier will be a heck of a player sooner than later.

Im happy for Jaxson.Great kid,player and teammate.I think he will be the hardest player for us to replace from last yr

It is part of the old China Palace.You can rent different things like those stand up paddle boards,canoes,boats and bicycles.Just dont go when they are having a big regatta.The colleges pack that place out and you cant get near there

Oak Ridge can be better than last yr.I think the offense will be better unless we bust at QB.Whoever starts dont have to be great just not bad.I think we will be great at LB and equal to last yr with the DBs.The huge question is can we find a DLine that can get it done.Dline is so important and we mainly need some edge guys.I think we got a couple of solid DTs but 2 good DEs and DL depth will be the difference in how good of a defense we have.I also think we will be better at Sp teams and have a chance to have a really good kicker.He played great at the end of yr and if he is working and improving he will be a weapon not many teams can match.I think if we have a solid QB and find a good DL we will be headed back to state

I didnt know if I should say his name or not yet but West already pulled him from the roster on Hudl.He should be a perfect complement to KJ and be a great duo.We should be loaded at RB because I love some of our younger guys as well.

I heard Tarwater won QB MVP of some small camp.I think they said the camp was even at Oak Ridge but Ill ask again.And unless something changes Oak Ridge has a really good player coming for next yr.Wildcat fans will be happy and should recognize the name.
