  1. Great game last night Rebs. Great season for Boone. You will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years. I just want to say how fitting last night was for those who were BT detractors all week and he had the night that he had. I'm not sure what his total yardage was, but I'm sure it was a WHOLE lot. He also caught a bunch of great passes. 534 and the others who were bashing BT, stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
  2. If they could lure Witten away from Betsy, I think this would get SH competitive in a hurry. He's turned around Elizabethton in a short time. It'd be interesting.
  3. You aren't in any position to be complaining about the officials. The SportsAnimal crew, neutral observers, mentioned exactly one bad call - the missed late hit on Mackle's punt return. Your team played very well tonight and I currently have no reason to show South anything but respect. Don't ruin it by being a jackass. That block in the back was so obvious that everyone in my section saw it. The ref was standing 10 yards away looking at and didn't throw the flag. As far as the sideline infraction, I'd love to know more about that. If there wasn't anything being said by coaches or players, there should have been a warning.
  4. Congrats on the win Rebels. The hit that #33 had on the screen in the 4th quarter was big time. He read the play brilliantly. Great game! I'm looking forward to another good game next week.
  5. I believe if my team hadn't won in the rivalry in 15+ years I'd keep my dog out of the fight.
  6. Waco, I hear you. I hear you saying the coaches have done a good job in the past. There are the athletes stocked in the cupboard. The one thing that has been missing has been intensity. We saw it at the South game (and in my opinion was the difference in that game), but that's the only time this year. A big part of it lies with the players having the sense of urgency, part of it is with the coaches to motivate, and a final part has to do with fans to support and provide energetic and electric setting that is conducive to intensity.
  7. The sky is not falling. There are some things we can learn from Maryville, but we have known that the program was a little down this year. My hats off to the guys who kept working to get better this year. The future looks bright with the young guys coming up. I've heard the freshman running back is going to be great. That will be a great balance with him and Sensabaugh. Also, I've heard the young QB looks pretty good. Seabolt would be great at QB, but it may be good to keep him at WR b/c he's talented there and made some big plays. All to say, things are looking up. It's just a matter of the kids working to get better and the coaches to teach and motivate. I've told friends who cheer for other schools, this was their year to beat DB because I believe they will be back next year.
  8. The Rebels have their work cut out for them week, but it's great they are getting Clint back and St. Clair will have another week under his belt being back from injury. I believe they are peaking at the right time.
  9. I would be shocked if Carter left South. He's got a good thing going there.
  10. I haven't seen Sawfford play, but I've heard great things. Sounds like Swafford and Sensabaugh will make a great combo of power and speed.
  11. Cap, Tennessee High has had a great year. They have deserved all of the hype they have gotten. I hope they win it all. With that said, you are talking alot of smack for the first time THS has beaten DB in quiet awhile. From what I understand, ya'll will be graduating alot of seniors while most of the position players return for DB. As for the DB/Maryville game, if DB can bring the intensity they brought to the South game, I think it will be a great game. The intensity in that game was the most I've seen out of a DB team in about 2-3 years. That's what they'll need Friday night.
  12. I have watched CS run the ball for a few years now. I love watching him play. He runs the ball hard every time he touches it. Every game, teams load up to stop him and he still gives it his all. He's a competitor. He'll play on Saturdays. My hats off to THS. It sounds like you have an incredible team. You have earned the ranking. I look forward to seeing your team in the next couple weeks.
