What was the topic? Oh Yeah. Signal Mountain 4A 2011-2012. For some reason, I thought I was on the Greenville VS Alcoa Thread. But if this is the Signal Mountain Thread, Look Out 4A Here we come. We will be bigger, stronger and faster than last year with plenty of depth. Our young guys got lots of real game experience last year and are ready to step up. Our Juniors and especially our Seniors are ready to make a statement. It will be a December to remember when we bring back a Second Gold Ball in Three Years of Varsity Football. As Roy Dillard would say, You think I'm Joking, but I'm not. Go Eagles!!

Hey Boreman, Last time we played Red Bank we beat them 14-0, granted it was only a quarter of a jamboree but we would have beat them worse given more time. If we do get to play Greenville, I promise you we will score more than 14. Our defense may not be as strong based on returning players, but they are better than you might think and our offense can stand up with anyones. Wait and See. GO EAGLES!!

We would probably play GOOD or even GREAT against yall. Certainly nothing less than AVERAGE. But if we did play FAIR, we would probably still whip ya. So you might want us to play POOR to give you a chance. GO EAGLES !!

Looks like the Eagle Offense picked up right where they left off last season Scoring 10 times in the Soddy Scrimmage . I was a little worried about the new defensive scheme with only three days of practice but we were able to hold them to only 2 scores. I realize this was only a scrimmage and several of Soddy's players were not there, but I feel a lot better about our chances of success in 4A today. We did suffer one loss and that was #21 Caden Thomas who broke his foot and will be out of commission for at least 3 months. Hopefully he will be back by the early part of next season. Go Eagles!!

Fact - We are the only team in history to win a Tennessee State Football Championship in its second year of varsity play.

Point is when they went from 1A to 3A, No Gold or Silver Balls. When they moved down 2 divisions they got one. Then they got one in 2A. By my learnin thats still below 3A. But you can argue your facts and I will argue mine. But lets get back to the real topic of this thread which is Signal VS TCA or is it Signal VS JW. If it's our team against one guy, I will take our team every time. Go Eagles. Win State

We don't need Coach Greasy. Coach Price is not going anywhere. This years team is loaded with juniors and could possibly compete for a 4A title next year. Coach Price could win Gold Balls in 2 consecutive seasons in 2 different divisions. I don't think there are many coaches out there that could boast that.

So Snoball, let's get this straight. Are you trying to say that because Signal Mountain has only been around as a football team for 2 years that the fans are somehow less educated on High School Football and not as qualified to comment as you Trouserdale Hosers? And Quit crying about loseing a lineman. I hate that he got hurt. However, it is a team sport and 1 player should not determine the success of the whole team. That is why Signal Mountain is winning. DEPTH at numerous positions. And as for Whitmore (Acutally it's Whitmire for you football experts out there.) He did more that just roll out a few times on you. He scrambled underneath your defense because you were overloading our recievers with 7 defenders. He is a smart player that takes what you give him and makes good decisions. Bottom Line. Our TEAM Won. Your's did not. If you don't like the Signal Fan's comments, you can go away until next season along with the football team you told us was unbeatable. Go Eagles. Win State
