North Side beat Munford last night 4-0 for the 13-AAA district title, their 4th consecutive title. I know 13-AAA is not the most feared district but still an impressive feat in itself. Watch out for North Side to make a run for the state tournament, but gotta get through Bartlett Tuesday.

The two post players for Madison are Dakota Smith and Taylor Davis, who used to be at North Side. The little guard is Cayla Sheets, and you're right whatever she lacks in size she makes up in pure grit and moxie.

From what the Jackson Sun's Michael Odom has tweeted, former Lady Red Devil Meredith Jacobs (nee Richardson) is the new coach. She was coaching at South Gibson.

North Side made it to sub-state last year and gave Memphis Central a big time scare. That team lost only two seniors and brings back their highlight players in Jalita Fason and Jessica Cobb. North Side did lose their long time coach Farris Lowery, but they have a chance of getting to the state tournament. What do you think?

Farris Lowery is leaving North Side to coach the Huntington girls team. Really came out of nowhere.
