  1. I myself would like to see these 3 get more touches. They bring a different element to the backfield, and could spell julian. I think the downfall to it though is the fact that your wearing the two leading tacklers off the team down #5 and #4. I wouldn't be surprised though if Reynolds and Myatt see more time offensively after the surpise most of us got seeing #7 in just his jersey friday. What is the final word on Tommy will he be a go this week or is it season ending? Any word on any of the boys from last week did everyone come out healthy enough to strap them up this week?
  2. Now...after i have vented on that subject lets talk about the game. The defense from FV was absolutely fantastic. I havent seen a more complete game from that group all season. They flew around to the football and delivered. It looked to me in the 2nd half that we were doing more trying not to lose than we were trying to win if that makes sense. Fantastic evening for Moore Franklin and Ramey collectively. They displayed great poise and handled their business. Defensively Reynolds and Myatt really stood out to me with a strong show from the D-line those guys looked in tune with their star player tonight. I am displeased though with the showing from SC. I watched every film i could and where was #14. The kid is an animal you cant limit a guy like that to 5-10 carries. Give him the ball and let him work he's not a homerun guy. He is the type of back come 4th qtr your not gonna try to tackle him anymore from the punishment you recieved the first 36 minutes. Great game though fun place to visit. Love the fact we were besically sitting on top of the field. Hope SC came out injury free. For FV enjoy it and rest up tomorrow get ready to go back to CC and get that W we gave them in the openening week.
  3. For some reason it seems like every week #21 throws a punch...this is a joke. We see these kids playing at this level and they are talking trash shoving people around getting into it a little more than maybe they should be and we call is classless and undesciplined. Yet at the major level of competition this is not frowned upon...sure if you ron artest someone there may be a problem but a little pushing shoving and some trash talk thats just part of the game these days. I hit on this earlier in the year. It is a sense of "swagger" some kids have it some coaches allow it. The guys from FV obviously have it and they show it week in and week out. Your comments on #4's trash talk...he spends as much time playing the game as he does setting the tempo for it. Whether it be verbally or downright destroying your offensive gameplan. Trust me there isnt a team in the state that would turn down the chance to have these two guys on their team. They are very respectful young men, but when they strap it up on fridays its time to go to work.
  4. Thanks Gerry....Facts i feel it was proper. I know when we won a big game we didnt care where we were, who's field we were playing on, or what tradition you have at the end of the game. That night when i'm victorious it's my house my field my tradition. You let a team come in and beat you on your turf you better expect it to be nuts especially a game that toats that rivalry. HC didn't just win the game. They take the barrel back home spoil an undefeated season...i guarantee you had the tides been turned the field at HC would have been flooded with orange white and blue.
  5. How solid is the 4 vs 5 in quad 3? Seems like a tough match up for two good teams. Will definitely see a great team go home early if the match up stands. What are the chances JCM can upset Camden?
  6. The 06 team he had was the best team he probably has had. This is a special group of boys though and still a good team. They have battled out quite a bit of adversity filling key positions with kids who would be seniors this yr moving to different school zones and the Lewis boy stepping down to honor his commitment to VCU for basketball. The schedule is what worries me...a very positive outing against HC would be fantastic for us realists to get a great understanding of where the boys are going into the playoffs. I do not believe next years team will be able to carry the same success. They will return two good RB's Gerron and Lombardo but after that it will be very difficult to fill all the voids left by this senior class. Kids like Humphreys Smith Mersman Daniels and Daniel just aren't your everyday student athletes.
  7. Lots of pressure on Cobb tonight Reynolds and Stevenson had big games on the defensive side of the ball again and Moore just keepsyou proving hishis critics wrong week after week. FV came out flat in the 3rd and #22 just had his way with the defense for about 15 minutes. Jacket i recall FV in the redzone twice and coming away with nothing. Once before halftime and then late 3rd or early 4th. Good Job by the Bobcats and goodluck on the year. Feed #22 cuz that man is hungry
  8. A big issue on the defense stopping the run against GC was Sammy Edmonson. The starting DT went down on the first defensive play with what is being said a complete MCL tear. Wont know for sure obviously until he has an MRI. Great game though i absolutely love the Brickyard. #22 was so explosive he never stopped going forward and we had no amswer for him.
  9. You think you could send a film over where GC played a quality opponent....oh wait nope can't do that now can we.
  10. JUNO Jacket Slim talk to me hows it looking? Couldnt make it tonight
  11. I am just educating you through my experiences. I was never taught to play dirty nor do I encourage as I stated in my previous post. "Dirty" play is part of the game. Some call it dirty some call it aggressive you can call it what you want, but talk to them boys you played with in the trenches and I guarantee you they will tell you getting kicked in the helmet was probably one their lesser concerns. As for the beating comment I was just rubbing it in a little to upset your feelings
  12. As far as the dirty play goes quit crying like a bunch of babies. Is stomping on someone's head dirty? Absolutely! Is ripping someone's helmet off dirty? Yes! I played the game through college. It gets dirtier and nastier. It's a sense of attitude and "swagger" Trust me if the worst thing that's going on is someone getting their HELMET stomped on with their head inside it it's a pretty clean game. I am not standing behind it and do not encourage it, but I also do not oppose or discourage. Now if his helmet gets ripped off and he gets a good Ol face stomp then by all means blow the board up with how dirty they are, but until then just take your beating like it was given to you saddle up and get ready for next week.
  13. I do not know if Franklin has committed yet but he does have a standing offer from Navy. Moore has offers from SDSU(South Dakota) and APSU. To add to the list I know #4 Reynolds is on visits to APSU and UT Martin the next 2 weeks. I agree #66 Buttrey will play at the next level along with #76 Edmonson.
  14. Your team couldnt even contain our playmakers. The refs did that for you.
  15. Hope...it keeps us alive sometimes doesnt it. Everyone is healthy and eligible...ready to put this one under protest i guess 42-14 The View.
  16. Haha yep absolute garbage. Good job by your guys looking forward to making the trip in a few weeks.
  17. Y'all must have had the same officials that we had last week at page..Ol Ton of Fun and his baby boy pork chop?
  18. Garret Wall returning this week has been a big addition to the offense. He has contributed two TD's this evening. Heard a few college coaches dropped in this week to speak with some players.
  19. Please explain how Fairview "got whipped" bc I'm pretty sure we were at the same game and the only whipping I seen was the ones the referees put on the game of football this evening. I am not just calling it from my side bc Fairview lost I'm just stating facts. Some calls we're obvious some were ghostly and some of the most blatant werent even called. I must also say that the TSSAA needs to tighten up on who refs these games. They were absolutely some of the most out of shape individuals I have ever seen on the field. Have some respect and pride in your work and appearance.
  20. I just don't think page can match up with this defensive line and Jack returns this week....to much firepower. Fairview rolls in this one 42-14.
  21. If page is going to rely on the pass game this week I believe their biggest concerns will start up front. Do they have the personnel to block Cooper Stevenson and Big Sam Edmonson. Cheatham did good job on is by utilizing play action under center by forcing them to have to read keys before rushing. Then we look at Lewis Co. They did a fair job utilizing some PA but the QB still took a beating from these two. If you double up on either or both you have to depend on guys going one on one with Jake Buttrey and Chappy. I just do not see this playing out in Page's favor. FV has a violent and fast front four enabling them to drop 7 in coverage. Just my thoughts on it though let me know how you feel about the situation.
  22. I like Jack he is an exceptionally better all around QB. Tommy is great running the ball but lacks the arm to stretch the field and the knowledge of the QB position. He is tunnel visioned on the snap, but it comes with experience. I can recall twice having Cooper open on the boot and 1 play he tucked it the other play he threw long and the pass was dropped. After coaches were on him about the TE being wide open the 3rd and 4th time they ran the play he threw to the TE. Although the TE was open both plays he was tunneled in it was TE all the way from the snap. I think Jack does have happy feet but just the experience and the arm make him a better fit. Tommy will still do very well playing the WR role and should see split carries with Brian when they spell for Julian. He is just to good of an athlete to not get 5-10 touches a game. Jack at the QB with Moore Tommy Julian MJ Brian Cooper and Garret when he returns it's just to much fire power to not spread the field and let the playmakers shine...just my opinion though happy to hear everyone else's thoughts and comments. This is absolutely in no disrespect to Tommy amazing player and took on the hardest role of the game took it in stride and led his team to back to back victories. Makes me wonder what could have happened had it been Tommy late against Cheatham and not the Frosh. Zimmerman.
  23. I agree jacket looking forward to what they do next week if Jack comes back. How do you you think they will utilize Tommy he has to much talent to not touch it a few times maybe move him back to WR and let him rotate with Julian. What are your thoughts on it guys?
