The pirates quit last night. They were scared to tackle the bowling ball. A few of their players do not need to see the field that are seniors. For that reason their season is done. They will win against this team but cb will put them out.

Talked to a marion starter at the little league marion homecoming tonight...when I asked how he thought the game would go he said we are motivated and hungry for this one and I bet you south pit doesn't come close to scoring til maybe late in 4th

I have seen the pirates play 3 times this year against bell, hixson, and boyd and have seen the warriors 3 times against grundy, whitwell, and ccs. for what its worth jasper is better all around in every position and both offenses are similar key will be defense which is one of marions strengths and special teams which is another. their kicker had about a 45 yarder the other night against ccs and punter is pretty dang good too i think he is a back also. it will come down to mc defense shutting down sp offense because it will not happen the other way around no way possible after i have seen how sp tackles and especially with their best player out. blowout game win and redemption for mc with a minimum of a 28 point win. the closest sp will ever be is kickoff 0-0

Sp is garbage this year all around...I don't care what grade you are in if you can't play don't get on the field pirates are barely squeakin by lv and there is no excuse for it. The best players are playing. Let me ask you a question how many practice have you coached those boys at this year truth teller? How many film sessions have you sat in with them? How many times have you coached these football players on fundamental and technique and repetition? Not one time. Not one. You are making south pittsburg sound horrible right now. Wanna know why people say sp is a bunch of cry babies it's because of people like you that get on a message board and dog out regimes with the typical they are in the wrong offense or defense comment. I have never seen one coach say you know what let's run this offense this year because I want to lose. Get real man. The best players have played in every game except #5 for some reason. The others haven't played for coaches reasons whether that is mentally ready or whatever. What offense do you think we should be in? Power I? Lol cause we don't have the linemen for that. Wing t? Not quick enough on pulling and reach blocking. Coaches coach, players play, fans watch. Good luck pirates the rest of the season.

It always cracks me up when ppl talk about coaching. It is very easy for people to second guess. Fans just show up for the game and hope to see a result but what they do not see is the countless hours at practice, film study, time away from family members and such. The best players are playing on the field right now that gives sp a chance. Either stay on board and support the boys through thick and thin or go jump on the jasper bandwagon!

You have to think about it's only 1a. sp will have 5 losses in the regular season because they play tough teams and still have a great chance at making it to cookeville. The only 1A teams they can not hang with is NCS and UC.
