You can definitely tell the band director has no clue about football. You dont play as loud as you can when YOUR TEAM has the ball on offense you play when the OTHER TEAM has the ball....I remember when Mitchell came to Huntingdon and beat us in a playoff game. Their band played from beginning of the game to the end NON STOP
I thought I read 46 yards total by #6 Mr Football candidate or something like that. They scored 1 field goal and a garbage TD late. If that's a bad game I hope they play like crap Friday night lol. Oh and btw #6 headed for the ground at the 1st sign of contact and big fullback #4 didn't want any in the 2nd half after getting pounded in the 1st half. You boys must be world beaters over in East TN
I admit I typed it and I was pretty pissed at the time. Coach Swenson has won alot of football games at Huntingdon and he's gonna win 2 more this year. I'm 100% behind him and am confident he will have the team ready to go with all the best plays called for Friday night. All you outside Huntingdon are nothing but noise and haters. It's going to be the best week of high school football in Huntingdon so if you ain't with us you against us! Stampede coming thru get out the way!
Htown folks how many yall predicting for this game? All of Tipton, Obion, Weakley, Gibson (minus Trenton) Carroll should be there plus a few more outside guests. I'm saying 7,000+ get ya popcorn ready!
Which of the 3 passes are you referring to? The short completion on the sideline the TD pass for 50+ yards or the incomplete long pass down the middle?
Here's the deal. Everyone thinks Huntingdon runs right runs left and up the middle. Is the running game their bread and butter? Of course. Can they throw? Of course. Lawton Pearson Baker Belew all with multiple receiving touchdowns this year. You will get the full playbook this Friday night nothing to hide it's for all the marbles
Let's match em up. I've seen every Huntingdon game this year and I've seen Lake Co enough to know what they do
QB-advantage Huntingdon-Ensley is faster and throws better. If you think Huntingdon cant pass then please stack the box and you will find out.
RB-push Lawton and Tubbs are both Mr Football worthy Pearson for Huntingdon gets the tough yards inside and in an exceptional runner
TE-Huntingdon #27 and #85 are going to catch anything thrown to them
WR-LC those dudes are fast on the bubble screen and quick passes in the flats
OLine-push seniors loaded on both teams
D Line-Huntingdon haven't seen a faster down 3 this year
Linebackers-Huntingdon 2 All State outside linebackers and 2 very quick inside linebackers
Secondary-LC Mustangs have had trouble with the pass this year. Expect that to be a primary area of focus in practice this week with Lawton starting at corner and Ensley playing centerfield
K-Huntingdon has one of the best in the state and Lake Co cant
Coaching-push 2 good ones
Intangibles-Huntingdon has played on turf all year and LOVES playing in front of the home crowd at Paul Ward Stadium. If you have never been to a packed Paul Ward with 6-8000 plus you are in for a treat
With all that said Huntingdon 28 Lake Co 24
Mustangs play Greenback for the 1A State Championship on Dec 6 in Cookeville
1-11 on defense can RUN. Nose guard is a converted running back. 2 D tackles are monsters 4 linebackers can all fly. Better pick on the secondary where #9 Mr. Football will be roaming
