  1. Red Warrior, I completely understand! I just want to hear about the match up. Speed vs Speed, and scheme vs scheme! Who other than #7 is going to look good Friday, and what Springfield player will make this a great game. Will our defense stop that high power offense, and can our offense break a tough patriot defense. What special teams will make a difference, and what is for dinner in the field? Now that is more interesting than the topic at hand! I want more dove in paris, or some catfish. Who is cooking?
  2. I enjoy reading your post, but dont enjoy hearing the same thing over and over again. Your a big fan, we get that. Your a former coach, we get that. However, you never met these guys and pass judgement on them due to one issue that I remember was very questionable. Guess I am whining too for all the flags I disagree with on Friday Nights. Seems as Springfield and thier coaches has let go of an issue that you cannot. So guess that makes you a complainer! What is worse? Whining or Complaining or are they the same?
  3. Heard there are a few injured players on both teams this week. Springfield Starters Possibly Out from reports: Rodrique possible torn ACL, Dickerson with ankle injury, Bowen with shoulder injury, Sefer with foot injury. All four starters, but are they playing this week. How are the Henry County players that are injured? As for Red Warrior, continuing to bring up a topic over and over and over again sounds like whining to me! Were you a fan when the team was losing games, or did you become a fan after the winning began? True blooded fans are with the team reguardless of the situation. I will be there Friday, but alot of people dont want to make the trip like the last time. That dove was good, but there was no Red Warrior. Please wear a shirt so I can meet this esteemed leader for over 30 years. You still have not answered my previous question of how long you have been a Patriot faithful!
  4. How long have you been a Patriot fan Red Warrior? I played for Springfield, and have been a loyal fan during the good and bad times. I remember the Championship game in 93 to the 1-19 lows before Myers came to town. This staff is doing a great job with our boys, and I will take our coaches any day of the week. If you only knew what they go through daily you would respect them too.
  5. Whining, only whining I hear is from the dead horse that coached for 3 decades, cannot point out who is a whining coach on our staff, won't tell where he was such an outstanding coach from (in Miss I believe), and talks the truth. Truth is you said it a 100 times and we hear you, but state facts on our coaches that are the whiners. You said you seen it for three years but you cannot mention a coach, or are you really not a fact stater at all. You say you express your opinion, then let us know who you are talking about please. I see every game, support the program, and been to all scrimmages. Yet I dont see what you see, and if this is going on please inform our community of these bad examples teaching our student athletes! By the way Red Warrior, are there any coaches on our staff that you believe are whining today? Then who are these gentlemen?
  6. I stand corrected, and do believe that Henry County is the team to beat reguardless. That is the only Fact that should be noted!
  7. Got ya, but who are the main three you talk about! This year I dont hear much from the coaches, but you may know more than I do!
  8. Unfortunatly it is not a whining and moaning contest, but a football game. I think the Jackets have a good chance. Like you said, you have not been tested. However the Jackets have faced 3 good teams in 3 weeks setting up a great chance on Friday night. Springfield Games: Greenbrier (Crosstown Rival Game), Away games at Gallatin losing by 16 and Northeast losing by 7, and home on TV vs Clarksville winning by 1 in the forth. Henry County Games: Liberty (are they down?), Beech (having a down year), Kenwood and Northwest (not saying much) This is the 5th tough game Springfield has played in 5 weeks, and probably the Patriots first test of the season in my opinion. All i know is the injury bug has hit both teams, but if it comes down to being prepared Springfield has been in tougher games up to this point. Maybe two or three coaches whin, but that doesnt make the staff.
  9. I have to agree with many Patriot faithful on this game! They are the big dogs of the region, and until we beat them they stand alone. 3 attempts in two years with 3 losses, but this year is a new year. Friday ends a crazy 5 game series for the Jackets anyways. Week 0 crosstown rival Greenbrier, Week 1 #5 Gallatin away, Week 2 #8 Northeast away, Week 3 #12 Clarksville High home on UPN, and now Week 4 #3 Henry County. Our boys will be preped for this game due to the last 4 games being tough. Granted we have given up alot of points, but look at the compatition we have played. Can we beat Henry County? Yes! Will we beat Henry County? That is up to the boys and how well the coaches prepare them this week. However, until we beat the Patriots, we are just sitting in the back seat! Good luck this week Jackets!
  10. Red Warrior, put the pig in the ground and put some beer on ice. Cause all your rowdy Jackets coming to play Friday Night. Are you ready for some football? Is Hank flying in on that helicaptor?
  11. Then quote the same for Clarksville and say, "Clarksville look out, they are much better than that Northwest!" As I see it, the Jackets have all the tools, but are making too many mistakes. Both teams have beat no one special, and Springfield has played #5 Gallatin (losing by 14) and #8 Northeast (losing by 7). Now is the task to beat a good Wildcat team that beat a horrible Northwest team and from what I understand a very down Fort Campbell team. Records are out the door on this one, and if the Jackets can put together a complete game I see the score 34 - 21 in the end. Favor Springfield.
  12. 2009 Springfield beat Northeast in final 16 seconds. 2010 Springfield beats Northeast in big drive in 4th quarter. Were these two NE teams good opponents? One went to round two and the other round four last year! So was this winning against a good opponent in your eyes?
  13. Coach Southerland is still coaching in Springfield, and from what I have seen this year he does not talk very much to anyone but the players during games and always seems to have a smile on his face. Did talk to him after the Gallatin loss where he said that this is a lesson we have to learn from, but this is only a game not life! He was not whining about the game, but did see him and Coach Clemons comforting players that were hurt on the sidelines. At one point Southerland was on the field helping a Gallatin player who was cramping, helped him up, and told him that he was a good player. We were sitting in the front row happy that coaches on our staff were so polite to the other team. Really enjoy the way many of our coaches work with these boys!
  14. See there you go again. Talking to you is like talking to the wall. Why do you have to be baptized three times when one should be enough? Pride my friend is a sin, and you sure have alot of this for all the wrong reasons. We all know you have been a coach from 1 out of every 5 post you place on this site. Kinda gets old to hear the same old record over and over again with your opinion of the Springfield Coaches. Do you dislike all of them, or just a few! I like a few, and others I do not, but I dont slame the staff as crying all the time over the actions of one or two. By the way, will you be riding the illegal helicopter this season to the games with your representative. Your dislike for all or some of the Springfield coaches is over a year old, and the only one still whining about this is YOU. Let it go, and if you are such an experienced coach you should move on to the next game and learn from the past!
  15. From all the Post you place on this message board The Red Warrior, the only one that seems to pat himself on the back is you. I am a humble man, but even your own faithful are tired of hearing about all your years of coaching, your knowledge of this great game, and how great you were. Henry County is a great team, and Springfield has to beat the Patriots to make a statement in the region. Will this happen, I dont know, but sometimes I read your post and wonder if you have a hide behind a computer disease. A man that needs Jesus in his life!
  16. I see that Henry County plays Beech at 7:30 tonight. Can someone please give me the correct time for our game at Gallatin. Been years since the rival cities played, and we are excited to come to Gallatin tonight. Great field, great atmosphere, and great chance to prove we are worthy to play with the big boys. Not sure how this game will go, but me and the boys are sure excited. Last week we baught that new black t-shirt, and we plan to wear our black and gold tonight. Can someone let us know how Dickerson and Seifer are doing this week and will they play. Talked to someone the other day and heard that we have a few starters out. Is there any truth to this story and how are the boys looking this week?
  17. Tonight will be a good test for Henry County, but I see the Patriots beating the Bucs 35 - 21 in a good game. Watched Beech scrimmage Greenbrier a few weeks ago, and their RB is tough to tackle. However, if the Patriot defense is like it was last year against us, the Bucs will have a tough night. They pound the ball, and dont throw it very well. If the region can represent well tonight we can shut up all the critics about who region is tougher. With Henry Co, Dickson, Springfield, Clarksville High, and Northeast we have a great argument, Their region in my eyes only have Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Mt. Juliet. Tonight we quiet them down until the playoffs I hope, and then send there region home with one of our own making state. Would love to see the Jackets go, but word on the street is the Patriots are primed for a run. Guess we will see if Patriot Nation continues to dominate in 3 weeks, or if Yellow Jacket Pride finally breaks the streak. You really got to love this region!
  18. Good luck Patriots Friday Night. Our region is boosting two teams ranked in the state. #3 Henry County and #11 Northeast High School. Springfield will play #8 Gallatin this week. So I just hope our region represents itself well on Friday night.
  19. Big week for both regions. Gallatin vs. Springfield, Henry Co vs. Beech, with potential rematches in the playoffs. If my mind serves me right, doesn't our region have a horrible win loss record against Region 9? With a slopy week 0 out of the way, I look for this to be a tough game into the 4th quarter. If the Jackets cannot eliminate all those flags, we will have another long night.
  20. (1 and 2 )Henry County vs. Springfield gets the region 3. Dickson Co 4. Kenwood High 5. Clarkville High 6. Northeast 7. Rossview 8. Northwest Then our teams taking to state in 6A will be Dickson Co. losing in round 1 Now to the fun! Henry wins the first two rounds in 5A playoffs. Springfield wins their first two rounds Kenwood shocks a school wins first and loses second I can see either Henry Co. or Sprngfield meeting up for another classic battle to go to semi finals. How nice would this be to our region to see this game two times in one year. Good luck to all and please keep a dear friend in your prayers. Donald Roach, or field maintance man, passed away three weeks ago losing to the battle of cancer. His last wish was to see Springfield play Henry County one more time to erase that butt kicking two years ago. So we know he will be on sidelines saying. Coach Get them Boys up! We will always love you and cheerish our moments with you Roach, and this game is for you win or lose.
  21. A freshman football player was killed yesterday in Springfield. Word is that friends were playing around with a hand gun that went off accidently hitting this young man. Please keep the family, team, and community in your prayers. This is truly a tradegy!
  22. Interesting: Springfield plays Gallatin week 1 Henry County plays Beech week 1 Early test for our region to see where the two big name 5A schools stand against their two big name 5A teams.
  23. Just read the scoreboard, and Northeast is tied at half with Hendersonville 7 to 7! Maybe the Eagles are better than you may think guys!
  24. I am a little confused with your statement though! You claim that Springfield coaches whine after games, but other than the Henry County game that was very emotional for us all what other games did this happen? Coach Myers and his staff are trying to change the culture in Springfield and from what I have personally seen doing a great job of it! I just don't see our coaches whine, but I have seen them displeased after games like most coaches would be after a loss! As I have stated before, "We are beating a dead horse with this topic, and time to move on to better issues!" Time for basketball season again!
