Great young man and not the best but "1" of the best athletes to come out of WC.

Seems things have died down on the HC hunt. Any news floating around?????

It amazes me how many new posters have joined just to brag on this young man.

I bet he will not be after he sees the salary. Even assistants make more in Georgia vs Head Coaches in Tn. LOL Volunteer Asst. & ball boys make more than the HC supplement at Warren County. Sad but True!

I heard he was going to apply at Warren County. That will be the ultimate rebuilding project!!!!

Like last time, Britton does not want to move back to WC so I don't think he's serious just checking the place out. Besides, WC beat him twice when he was the head coach at FC.

As far as we know, the program has been in pause mode until a new coach is hired. Most of what is left of the 20 players are playing other sports.

Could be why his numbers were so high.

Out of 11 coaches,Chris is 5th in winning percentage. You can make anything sound good or bad, regardless Chris was a good coach and well respected.

Well it is official! O'Conner has put his name into the Warren County coaches search. I hear that some of the selection committee will be traveling down to watch the game. We are looking forward to having a coach that can win in the playoffs and bring discipline and commitment back to our team.

The problem with volunteer coaches is them being able to get off work each day at 2:30 - 3:00 because not all employers will let them leave work each day that early. Some off the people you mentioned have been part of the problem in the past, former coaches not agreeing on what the new coach does and then not supporting them in public. Your wrong about needing coaches that have been winners in here. Some of the previous coaches have been a part of winning programs in high school and college so don't throw all the coaches under the bus just because you didn't like the head coach.

[ Who every the new hire is, that coach has to be able to bring in an entire new staff. I don't see that happening. No coach can ever bring in a complete staff of 8-12 guys. Most schools don't have that many free teaching slots for coaches unless they are math or science teachers. Are any of the current coaches wanting to stay or worth keeping?

What's to be careful about???? Madewell was a hometown boy that came in and broke the 39 game losing streak, went to the playoffs 4 yrs, made WC a contender each year and brought respect back to the program. If hope another "hometown boy" can come in and have the success that Madewell had.

Sounds like Warren County exactly. I bet your parents and booster club complain about running the veer to don't they.

Money will always be an issue! With what the head coach and assistant coaches make as supplements is pathetic. That is why good coaches "look" but have no interest in WC.

From what I hear around town they need to let the booster club hire the next coach!!!!!

Sometimes if your only good enough for the scout team then so be it. You do your part to help the team. Sounds as if you thought that raising money would equal playing time.

Great post. Chris was more about about teaching character and integrity and preparing them for life. This county will miss a leader like him. I hope the parents will let the next coach do the coaching. To many players were getting coached at home!
