  2. Is Ericson an MUS LB, also where is Caruthers in school? I have not heard much from him.
  3. Yes I put Thomson on o-line, I just didn't specify tight end. And again I agree with Huesman as QB, I just forgot about him when making this. As for Jordan Smith, he does deserve recognition for he is having a great season so far.
  4. Yes recruiting goes on in DII. Now some obviously are better at it then other (Ens, BA), but it does go on. Truthfully these schools are targeted primarily because the amount of African American's on the field, when both are primarily white. Now am I saying that all the black kids are there to play football? NO. NO. NO. There are many kids their for academics, arts, sports, or all three. BA and Ensworth are just generally targeted because the amount of black football players, and because their both always good teams, and people will find excuses when they loose.
  5. I have Josh in there for I think he is maybe more the complete player. Jordan has another year and i'm sure will receive recognition in time.
  6. My all state thus far would be Offense QB-C.J. Beathard-BGA QB-Matthew Hamby-BA RB-Victor Cairo-BA RB-Nantambu Fentress-Ensworth OL-Antonio Richardson-Ensworth OL-Austin Hicks-McCallie OL-Ben Still-MUS OL-Blake Tompson-BGA OL-Graham Shuler-BA WR-Weldon Garlington-BA WR-Keenan Hale-McCallie Defense DL-Kennan Crenshaw-Ensworth DL-John Mackey-Baylor DL-Jarrod Coleman-McCallie DL-Woody Barron-BA DL-Andrei Lucachi-MBA LB-Davis Helton-Baylor LB-Zach Erickson-MUS LB-James Kay-MBA DB-Corn Elder-Ensworth DB-Derek King-BA DB-Joe Reigle-MBA DB-Josh Smith-BGA
  7. I agree with you in the fact that most of the players I assume are great kids, and you can not tell anything about someone by their hair style. But as a high school, especially a private, expensive, college preparatory school, it is in best interest for their students to look classy. And as much as you can argue about the "times changing", long hair and earing's will never look good. The students at all school functions should have well cropped hair and nothing in their ears. If Ensworth ever wants the respect of the MBA's, MUS's, then they will change their views on this matter.
  8. Who are yall's all state selections this far? 2 per position.
  9. The MBA defense is very streaky this year, because of their secondary. The first 5 games were played against running teams, and the most anyone scored was 14 points. MBA's front seven is very strong, with Lucachi who is a monster, and Caldwell. The freshman Robertson? also seems to get better week by week. The DE's are good against the run, but fairly poor against the pass. The defense is led by #34 Kay and #5 Reigle. Reigle is the best player on the team, no question. Kay looks like he is one of the shortest, and probly heaviest linebackers in the league, but boy is he the meanest. The secondary is what is killing MBA. #6 on the corner is very poor at open field tackling, and the other #1 Wright? is decent but seems to get burned alot. Reigle seems to be active on one side of the field but on some plays the free safety just seems to disappear. If MBA wants to make a run for the title this year, I think the secondary is really going to have to make some changes.
  10. Yeah I would agree with that...Man Ba's QB had an off night!!! 4 picks, and all very poorly thrown balls.
  11. I agree with you K this MBA team has less big names guys then all their opponents. As you said Reigle, Franks, and Luchachi may be looking small, but no other seniors seem to be destined for D1 ball. The junior class may have one in Jhammal Wright as a corner, and Blake Bars has the size to play. The best players like Reigle and Kay seem just to be really solid high school football players, not superstars. I think this can help a team, because for the team to be successful, it has to rely on everyone, not just the big names. As for the game, I think MBA will pull out 24-10. Baylor has scored 3 points in 3 years...
  12. MBA's strength is their defense, particularly their front 7. Their starters have aloud 7 points this year, and that was to Ensworth. Their weakness seems to be their oline and the deep ball.
  13. Yes I did have the bird's eye view and saw the fumble. I think an MBA payer recovered it first and then after the whistle was blown a Maplewood player got it, and one of the refs saw this clearly. But then again thats just a guess.
  14. Excuses, MBA played a good game and were just the better team. Give them a little credit and stop blaming the refs like last year!
  15. Ah yes good point, from the internet viewing I saw that boys cleats go above his head though!
  16. That second late hit by #34 (I think it was Kay) was an awful call. The whistle blew 10 seconds after the hit and when he hit him the ball was still rolling.
  17. It's odd we havn't heard from Rumble in a couple weeks. It seems that since his beloved Wirth Campbell threw for 40 yards and ran for -40 he has been off the boards. What a shame... now for a prediction? I'll take MBA 17-7. Defense is too good for the inexperienced tigers and good ole' bowers.
  18. Obviously he didn't live up to the standards some like Rumble have preached, OR else he would have already posted bragging about where you heard Wirth Campbell's rise to stardom first.
  19. Yes Reigle is a really solid player. He has been starting as the strong safety since his sophomore year. I have also heard Lucachi is good too. I am told he has some D-1 interest as a nose tackle. The two linebackers are Juniors John Morphis and James Kay. I think Morphis is about 6' 185, while Kay is a much stockier 5'10 and listed at 215, although in the scrimmaged I attended he looked more about 220. Kay started last year and I think was 2nd on the team in tackles. I saw Jhamall Wright was a preseason all state selection how did he do?
  20. MBA must have a solid defense if they shut out Pearl-Cohn, who is on there that can play KWOODRUFF?
  21. Where is our trusty friend Rumble to brag on Ensworth's loss?
  22. I went and saw MBA v Oakland last night. It was a good scrimmage, Oakland came out fast on O and D. They scored from 10 yards out on their first offensive play after MBA muffed a punt and the refs blew it dead. After that Oakland didn't score with MBA's starters in. MBA scored on a long touchdown catch by Austin Blackwell, and the sophomore QB threw it because Simonis was still side lined. Oakland looked pretty good, it seemed MBA's conditioning was the key. MBA still has a long way to go though if they want to make a run for the title this year. I think the final score was 21-17 Oakland, but starters it was 7-7. Any words on the other scrimmages from BA or Ensworth?
  23. But Anderson County is pretty bad...
