Baylor is dismissing classes at noon today Just got an email stating that the Mccallie Activities Director is canceling the match - nothing official yet - this is purportedly from an EBE parent BB Branton just posted that the match has been canceled for tonight and will be reset for either Saturday or Monday. tnlongwhorn-----if it goes to Monday, that would give the red tribe some extra time to get the eligibility issues with Sidd Finch worked out so that maybe he could make an appearance in the match. What are your sources saying? Does anybody think this delay will help/hurt either team? If it goes into next week, you might have weight issues, potential flu or other bugs to strike, or injuries-----though I am guessing that all wrestlers will under strict orders to stay inside and not go out in the snow and ice where they might fall on slippery roads or steps---------that could effect one team's lineup. The Pa stud is the real deal and in no way a Sid Finch , Atticus Finch, Yellow Throated Finch or any other kind of Finch. From what Im being told we had all just better call him sir. Has anyone ever taken him up on that offer? Not knowing him persoanlly and not being from here originally Im not sure what his background is. Is he really as tough as he portrays? I would have to agree without a doubt. Collins bumped up to wrestle anyone and everyone if my memory serves me correctly. Its hard for a stud to beat a stud of equal talent 10 lbs heavier but in fact he did so quite regularly. Also, not meaning to offend anyone but Tennessee wrestling in the 60,70's and early 80's was not very good. Dont mean to discredit anyone but it was just not the same. In fact there werent even many schools with wrestling back in those days. Our records against northern competitors was atrocious at that time. Look at the college opportunities back in that time period. There were 3-4x the # of schools that had college wrestling but about half the # of high school kids competing in Tennessee. Our records in Div I college wrestling from those time should show that we were way behind the rest of the country. How many local guys did great in Div II college wrestling only to get smoked in D-I competition. Now we compete and all American in college and place at fargo, Senior nationals, super 32 ect in high school. That didnt happen back in the 60's,70's and early 80's. Wrestlers of today are 10X the wrestlers the old timers were compared to the rest of the country. The toughest format was in the late 80's up to the public/private split. The kids were significantly better and everyone wrestled everyone.

I could care less about who Bradley wrestles, If you or anyone else wants to do the greater good, then go start a kids club, use your resources, I remember when Bradley didn't even field a full team do you? They didn't whine about they built their program up from nothing, that's the real problem in this country no one wants to start from the bottom and work their way up, no value of a job well done, Bradley built their program it's their right to do want they want to with it. Your absolutely right they can obviosuly do what they want to. Fans can also do what we want to. we want to see the match-up and it would be tremendous for the sport in our area.I remember when Bradley couldnt field ateam, I remember when Bradley was everyones whipping post. What does that have to do with anything? What does that have to do with the fans would love to see the match-up? What classic battles there could have been over the years! Its not a knock on your program, its a compliment that so many people would love to see this match that have nothing to do with either school. There are a lot of people in this area who love the sport for what it is and what it teaches. We love it when we see young men push themselves and reach levels they didnt know they could. We love the emotion, the joy, the sadness, the sucess, the losses, the pain, the hunger, the sacrifices, the journey to fulfill your own destiny. WE LOVE WRESTLING!
