  1. Wickedly tough field. Multiple Super 32 place finishers and nationally ranked kids. Recruiting nirvana for Mocs coaching staff.
  2. I believe the Chatt. Times had Knox Halls winning with Gordon Lee 2nd. Rags dale was MOW
  3. I hope Coach Connell is successful. This tournament would be an amazing opportunity for Tennessee wrestlers.
  4. AAA - Cleveland A/AA - Pigeon Forge, these guys are almost unstoppable in A/AA. D2 - Father Ryan AAA - MOW - Debien A/AA - MOW - Boatman, although he had a tough match in finals at regionals D2 - MOW - Oliver or Popp, either would be deserving.
  5. I saw where Tate Robinson was injured during the McCallie match, I hope it is not serious.
  6. If Baylor gets starters back at 113 and 195, score should be in the 35-24 range for the red team. They should have probably been on opposite sides but that's what happens when kids get sick and dinged up at times.
  7. The referees for the match are two of the best in the state and southeast for that matter. The Tate/Adam match could have been called either way. Parker/Hoodenpyle match; if (H) had sprawled or went over the top of Parker catching his ankles, they run out the clock or a stalemate is called. This is a huge event for these kids, and he turned trying to step out of Parker's grasp and walked off the mat pulling Parker, never intending to flee and lose a point, but it happened. If they are in the center of the mat Hoodenpyle likely steps free and the match is in overtime. Unfortunately, he was near the edge and called for fleeing. I think this is what Coach Gable meant when he said matches are won and lost on the edge of the mat.
  8. Marchetti Johnson Baucke Elsea Mosley Hooker All starters, Watson I was told is injured, not sure about Manley who started last two seasons at Stanford. Bruner and Clemons are likely redshirted. Boykin and Schrader both list their wrestle offs, but Boykin doing a good job for an injured Johnson.
  9. I agree with Mr West. Only change might be a toss up at 132 if Robinson or Connell drops to 132. Would love to see either of them and Austin Stevison. I believe Ryan Parker has certified at 170 as well as 182. If he were at 170, I would give him the nod. Don't hold me to him being certified at 170 but want to say he did.
  10. 38-26 FR over Baylor. You have to figure a 9pt swing at minimum with Murphy back at 113. Should be very close at State Duals.
  11. Yes, I forgot, it is called the Volleyball gym. The cafeteria is huge.
  12. Will some of the matches be at Cleveland Middle?
  13. Either way, this could be dual match of the year for Tennessee. Should be outstanding for a standing room only crowd at CHS Jones Wrestling Center.
  14. Where is tournament going to be held? Seems like I read the Dome is closed.
