Fact is fact, and the facts are clear that GHS is FAR SUPERIOR than every team in the county athletically as well as depth-wise, and like it or not, GHS WILL beat every county team easily. The games will never be in question, none of them, not even your buffalo's (who are not even the 2nd best team in the BRAC THIS year by the way). Does WG have some good athletes? Yes, absolutely. Will WG win some more ballgames this year? They most certainly will. Does WG have what it takes to be even the slightest bit competitive with GHS this year? Not in your wildest dreams!!! Just like the other BRAC teams aside from GHS, WG needs to play hard and work on improving in areas that need help against the great team they face tonight. Playing against better teams makes you better whether you realize it or not. If WG can stay injury free and make some improvementa during this game then they will have had a successful night at "the range". Winning is unrealistic tonight, but improving is not. GHS vs (any)county team is like Tusculum College vs The University of Tennessee would be in football....the game and scoreboard are not gonna be pretty for anyone not wearing green and white this evening, or any other night the devils play a BRAC game. Period. Re-read it, slower this time "buffdaddy", understand that is just the way it is, and move on. Go cheer on WG, but please for the love of God stop with the unsportsmanlike crap and the unrealistic and ignorant posts.

While I agree that CD has a competitive team this year, they won't beat WG or SG. Just ain't happening.

Having confidence in your team is good to an extent...but when it turn in to unrealistic and incessant ignorant rambling it becomes a problem, and you "buffdaddy", have a huge problem. And before you start running ur mouth please know that I am not a ghs alum or fan. I have no rat in this race, I enjoy seeing all the Greeneville/greene co teams play well. Be realistic, WG has ZERO chance tonight unless the Greeneville that shows up is the middle school.

No doubt GHS came ready to play and played well, but I can say w 100% certainty-this is not the typical Alcoa team. I would have loved to see this game last year. With that said, congrats to the Devils.

GHS is laying it on Alcoa at the end of 1. I can't tell yet if I'm very impressed w the devils or unimpressed by Alcoa...or maybe both. All I can say at this point is this Alcoa team doesn't look like the traditional Alcoa teams we have become accustomed to seeing.

I was helping bring the helicopter in, the last I heard was that he had no feeling or movement on the left side of his body...at one point he did have movement and mobility in all extremities, once he was loaded on the ambulance he lost it on left side and wings was called on to fly him to Knoxville so a neurosurgeon could look at him

Always tragic when things like this happen...but its a full contact, physical game, injuries are bound to happen sometimes. We all just gotta hope and pray when they do occur that they won't be severe

Play has been stopped for close to 10 mins. The teams have been sent to sidelines while a CG player is tended to on the field. His parents have been called to field and both staffs have made a circle around him while EMS and the trainers take care of him....if u pray, throw one up for the kid...its still not known how he is hurt yet Edit: kid was just carried off the field on a stretcher...most likely a back or neck injury Edit #2: Lifestar helicopter is on the way to pick him up. It will be landing in the front SG parking lot any sec now. He had feeling and movement in extremities, once loaded on ambulance he began tingling and lost all feeling

SG 13 CG 0 10:00 2nd quarter Really hasn't even been close thus far. CG can't seem to get anything going on offense while SG is rolling along well, despite losing a fumble and having a td called back... Not impressed by CG at all YET...we will see how the rest of the game goes.

I am not a greeneville fan whatsoever, and have said in numerous posts that I pull for all the greeneville/greene county schools to do well. And so u know, I wasn't referring to a post u made, I was referring to the words I have heard come out of many of WG's players and fans mouths. I asked a valid question and made a valid point. Trust me son, if I was bashing the buffs, u would 100% know it! Don't be so defensive....it makes u appear to be a 3rd grader mad he lost a kickball game in gym class. All I have heard all off-season was how great WG was and how bad they would beat everyone this season (including GHS)...so I'm curious, what the heck has happened to the mighty buffs? Did getting the "big head" come back to bite them in the backside? Confidence is one thing, but the results thus far are a direct consequence of being too cocky-without having a reason to be.

I am a fan of greeneville/Greene co athletics. Generally, I like to see everyone do well, not just one particular school. I agree 100% that county and city bring out the worst in each other & it has been that way for a long time, but seems to be getting worse. Each side have things they could do to improve that fact and bring back a good competitive rivalry instead of having contempt for each other.

I agree that Gville is a good team, probably one of the best in east Tennessee actually...and if more of GHS's fans had the same attitude that you do then I can safely say that people in general, including myself, wouldn't wish poorly on the devils. I would love to see them win it again and bring Greeneville and Greene co more attention, but the cockiness and overall "I'm better than you" attitude that a lot of the fans from GHS have ruins any success they have in my eyes because it just gives them one more reason to degrade and talk down to everyone else. Competition is great-an arrogant, cocky team and fanbase who looks down on everyone and everything not "greene devil" is not.

This is the exact attitude that makes people dislike greeneville. I am the type of person who gives credit where it's due, and last year G'ville had a reason to be cocky...but after watching the SHHS game and then seeing MW beat them tonight-they have nothing to be cocky or brag about, unless u count beating SG, WG, & CD by 20+ an accomplishment...
