It's always a good year when you have a great QB returning. The way Bowling can analyze the field and call direct plays without having to confer with the elder Bowling will be very beneficial again this year. UC will once again have a winning season!

Getting punched in the face and called a denoting racial slur? If that's not attacking, I don't know what is. It was witnessed by several coaches. Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

You listen here Mr. Self Denoted Bigshot: 1) I did not say FANS punching players... I said ONE female. Someone not even from Union City seconds that notion on down in this thread. 2) I am a girl, you are correct. So no, I wasn't on the field. However, despite my gender I do know the difference between southern smash-mouth, hitting hard football (which both UC and WC play) - and a revengeful team out to bring down their opponents... whether that means rough game or foul play. 3) Naturally, after UC ended WC's undefeated season.. there will be a strong rivalry between the two teams. That is completely normal. Honestly, games like UC vs. WC are great games to watch from both sides. They are going to hit harder and test the boundaries and limits of the opposing team. But there is a LINE between rivalry and misdemeanor. Wayne County's fans encouraged the crossing of this line. I, along with many others around the state, were looking forward to a great scrimmage between two good football teams. Clearly that did not happen, and I know I am not the only disappointed onlooker tonight. oh and by the way... 4) Please never assume "little girls" do not know anything about football, because I guarantee I could kick your butt in any football rules and guidelines test you wanna throw at me!

Oh yes! At least most of that was typical for smash-mouth football... today was just downright DIRTY..

There were 5 WC players punching and swinging at UC's Quarterback at the same time... were you one of the WC fans giving a standing ovation for that?

UC's head coach Darren Bowling decided to put the team back on the bus and head home instead of a clean scrimmage versus WC that was anticipated by UC's team. However, this did not happen until after Union City's players were attacked in a NON-FOOTBALL MANOR by both players and FANS from Wayne County. The UC boys were called repeated racial slurs; UC's African-American fullback was even hit in the face by a white female fan from Wayne County, after being called a degrading racial slur. So here is the question... was Wayne County's team too afraid to face defeat for the third time in a row playing UC, or were they conspicuously out to try to injure some of UC's players (by both the players and the fans) without ANY INTENTION OF A SCRIMMAGE WHAT-SO-EVER?

UC looks very promising for another winning season. Hopefully South Pitt is busy in the weightroom.. they'll need it if they are planning on facing UC for another championship.

Win or lose, UC still has the best and most caring coaching staff out of any school in TN.. and because of them and their program the young men are better and more successful people.

Union City is about 30 minutes from Dyersburg, an hour from Jackson, and 4 days from a gold ball. You mean four days away til the round ball Look people get on here and stir the pot...bottom line is...some of the SP faithful have made crazy predictions...my three td prediction is reasonable I believe....UC has a big full back and a big line...All SP remembers what happened the last time we had a beast for a full back and a big line....we won state.....sounds like they have sorta the same team we had just minus the quick shifty backs.....I am telling ya...no one is taking Union City lightly...especially the coaches...they are very focused as well as our players....we did not come all this way to fail...we have to finish now and we WILL. Everybody is giving Terrell credit for Mr. Football but lets also give props to Union Citys guy and Jijuan Fennel our TE/DE...its a honor just being invited boys When you had the "beast for a full back, and a big line"... did you also have a whole football team dedicating the season to a teammate killed in a tragic gun accident? Union City not only has the talent this year, but also purpose. For them, this is more than a game. It is an honor for them..you are right.. to have the chance to play for a young man who loved football as much as he loved life itself.
