So what are your qualifications? Why should Dr. Campbell hire you to run the football program at Independence? Well I'll say one thing for sure: At least I could make a decision unlike the powers at Independence. I'm glad I'm not chosen. Good luck to who ever that Independence finally hires.

All that needs to be done is the people in charge need to relook at some of the resumes that were sent and find a good young coach to take over. There is a winner in those resumes just give him a chance. What will be the plan now? Will they interview some more or choose one that they already talked to? Any word out there? What's happening at Independence?

I guess I am new to these parts. I thought Independence was a school that was less than 10 years old. What do you mean about the shadow? I have heard that interviews are the second week of January. Anyone know who the one's are that are being interviewed? Are there finalists yet? Who is making the call here? I know you mentioned three names: Dr. Campbell is the principal, Dyson is the AD, but who is Mr. Jones?

Yes he would as he is a good coach, but you have to ask "Can you afford him"? Even coaches at 1A schools in Rutherford County make more than 6A schools in FC. Added to this the bad rep the county has earned in how it treated its last two HC's and it is surprising any would apply period. There are some that apply just wanting a chance.

As George would say "Book It" So this is a done deal? When are they making the announcement? I was one hoping for an interview. This could be a good job. I think they should hire some young, new energy to uplift this program. I would want to put in a system such as MTSU's with the Tony Franklin type schemes. With him being so close you could get great advice and it could pay off with WINS!

Of all the jobs this one seems to be the quietest and not much info out there. What was the good news from Franklin? Is there not a coach from there trying to get the job

I guess that answers the question!! So you send resumes to a guy that is being considered for the job? Man, that is how you can stack the deck on who is getting interviewed. I guess I will think twice about getting called for an interview there. If someone gets called in for an interview, you may just be there as part of the show. Does Dyson get to sit in on the other guys interviews. Man that would be crazy!

They might hire someone who can drive to the school each day for practice.

I wonder if he turns it down if they will call others back or look at other resumes that they got? Seems like they would want young blood to get things excited.
