  1. How many starters do ya have coming back?
  2. This is the problem with coaching FB in the 21st century. YES, a head coach is hired to teach boys the wonderful game of football and winning games is a big part of the contract but HIGH SCHOOL football is about much more than just winning. Anyone who doesn't understand that has their priorities all screwed up. These are high school kids, not professional athletes. Head coaches do not get to go out and put together a staff in 95% of the high schools in America. You have to raise most of your revenue through endless fundraisers, car washes, and golf scrambles. I could hardly call it just about winning. Now I'm going to tell you as both a head coach and an assistant coach I have spent many hours helping kids get through high school and that has little to do with my job as a coach under your job description of a coach. I have been a motivator, teacher, coach, guidance counselor, legal adviser, and yes, spiritual adviser and part-time male role model. Any successful head football coach has learned to do many things that are far beyond the call of duty. In the end we all hope we can win the big game, get the gold ring, and have our photo on the cover of Murphy Fair and the Tennessean but it is almost all meaningless in the big scope of things if we do not make a difference in a young man's life. We are TEACHER FIRST and COACHES TOO. IT IS A TWO FOR ONE PACKAGE! If I have to choose between the gold ring and being a positive influence that changes the life of a handful of young men I will choose the later. I have known some great coaches like Madewell that were better men and coaches than other men who had a better winning percentage. Chris Madewell took a program that was in total disarray after Tidwell through the helmet and hit the kid at halftime. How quickly we forget how far he brought this team. I do not live in WC but I know the whole story. Chris is a first class teacher and coach and I would rather have him coaching my team than about half of the men I know in this business with better winning records because he will teach them how to be men. I saw this on the thread about Cody and I think this sums it up. “Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only ONE thing -the result” Vince Lombardi
  3. Wow why does everyone keep saying Madewell was a great person this and that. He was hired as a football coach. Not a pastor, minister, or anything else. He was hired to win games. He obviously cound'nt do that. Since 4-6 was his best year. Good luck to Madewell, WC and the new coach.
  4. We shall see. I think he may shock some people and come out wearing black and gold. You heard it first from fball.
  5. I will give u props since you have 3772 post conrats!!
  6. I dont understand why they haven't already hired a coach??? It is well past time. I hope this doesn't hurt the team.
  7. Great video! He has really good field vision.
  8. Is WC realy going to be THAT good? I know they have some good players but thats a long shot dont you think.
  9. Hey Rhea Co was that Kevin Revis brother that Coody played aginst when he played ya? also I hope everyone has a SAFE and happy New Year.
  10. Wow with Duke and Vandy interested he must have a very good GPA.
  11. Thanks utchuckd, I didnt know if anything would change since they are changing coaches.
  12. Does anyone have a WC schedule or know when they will release it? I would Love to see Cody play against some Murfreesboro schools.
  13. Ateam598 , like Nitro said it all depends on the offense. A power team such as Alabama utilizes big strong massive linemen to make room for Ingram and Co. On the other hand teams who run a option offense such as the veer are on average a little smaller making it easier to run zone schemes and to pull. Cody from seeing him on tape could do either ( Which is very unique in a hs player). Lastly big money we have all realized just because you have 20 post does not justify your football knowledge or make you intelligent seeing you have 699 post and we have all heard your loads of wisdom. LOL FBALL123 has spoken
  14. Yes Gonzales was a big kid, but he never moved. He was a 6'7 statue. If you will watch the highlights posted earlier you will realize Cody is never still. His motor is always running 100 mph. That is one of the differences in big time college football and OVC football. ( nothing against the OVC but you get my point.). Him being a relentless player who never gives up along with his many other attributes will earn Mr. Robinson a scholarship to a fine institution oof his choice
  15. WOW! The mass intelligence of big money has come out. If you had done your research you would have realized the average 40 for an offensive lineman in the NFL COMBINE is 4.9-5.2. A 4.9 is a great time for a OL. Let me guess what was your 40 time? 4-ever
  16. Nitro do you have a schedule for next year or know where I can get one? I would like to see him play again.
  17. Cody is a great player. I saw him play against Rhea Co. He ran over the offensive tackle on most plays. He probably had 15 tackles.
  18. Warren Countys has 3 really talented upcoming seniors QB Michael Thrower is a great athlete, with a lot of speed. 5'8"/155 RB/DB Caleb Northcutt is a very shifty back with lots of moves. 5'8"/150 OL/DL Cody Robinson probabley one of the best in state, is a very quick, strong, and powerfull lineman. 6'4" 310
