  1. TommyMan, that's like saying NCAA schools shouldn't be able to host High School team camps... Come on now....
  2. You should know that June is reserved for team camps and July is reserved for AAU ball. Who needs a vacation anyways? lol.
  3. What girls teams are committed as of now?
  4. Best 8th graders? Keayonna Bourne from Farragut is definitely one of the best, maybe the best. Justice Pearson - Hillcrest/Obion Co Dymond Smith - South Fulton. Je'Mya Glenn - 3Oaks/Dyer Co Shakiya Crumble - Lake Co Samariah Thompson - Dyersburg Some of the best I know of.
  5. Oh no question... Chances are this isn't the final list tho... I mean, the state of KY just started playing games in Dec... and my guess would be Middleton will definitely be nominated, and probably has a decent chance of being in the game.
  6. This explains the selection process... Just because you are nominated doesn't necessarily mean you'll even almost come close to playing in the game. http://www.mcdonaldsallamerican.com/aag/en/gamescenter/Team-Selection-Process.html" IMO, Bell, Middleton, Copeland, and maybe Coe deserve to be nominated. But once again not saying any of them would be close to playing in the game. (Except Middleton) Only 24 players can play in the game, the lowest ranking player that played in the game last year was Makayla Epps #37... Therefore Middleton at #28 is the only one really missing out as she is one of two in the state of TN in the top 100... Copeland is #70. There could be several reasons for Middleton not being nominated. Being nominated for the All-American game truly means nothing at the end of the day unless you really have a shot at playing in the game. Last year there were 12 guards in the game, they have to fill all positions. Middleton is the 14th best guard in the 2014 class. The highest ranking player out of KY is Kayla Rankin #66. No real chance at playing in the game. Let's be honest, the 2014 class in TN isn't extremely strong, neither is the 2015 class, so don't expect anyone from TN to play in the All-American game next year either. Same for the state of KY....
  7. Agreed, other than Smith, they are not good at all this year.
  8. McMinn Central will only get better as the year goes on. They are so young. Lynn is a star, just need to become more consistent as a team.

    9-A News

Community Forrest MTCS Moore Co Not sure that the others can compete at the end of the day IMO. Community has so much talent. I'm rooting for Moore Co this year, love seeing the youngest team around make their mark.
  10. Union City only beat Lake Co by 11 because Lake Co played stall ball the entire game. Watched both Greenfield and UC this summer several times, while Peoples from Greenfield is pretty good, UC is just too deep this year. Gibson Co also looked good this summer they'll be 2nd IMO.
  11. Saw both Riverdale and Blackman play this summer, Blackman looks like a top team Nationally, MeMe Jackson will make them the favorite in the state IMO. But, I saw Riverdale play before their two transfers had gotten used to playing with the team and Middleton was doing literally everything for them. That being said, Riverdale is probably much better than they were when I saw them play. It should be an exciting year either way.
  12. Clarkrange and Jackson Co will both be very good. Shaver and Cooper from Clarkrange will be a year older and better, I saw Cooper light it up at the MTSU team camp this summer. Obviously Jackson Co has Coe and Allen. I don't know anything about either of their supporting casts so I will be interested in seeing how this turns out.
  13. I agree that Coe and Allen are better than Fair and Hudson... However, I am saying take his rankings with a grain of salt because they are clearly not accurate, that is backed up by not only my opinion but, college coaches' opinions and more credible ranking sites.
  14. Would it be possible for me to change my user name?
  15. I'm not arguing that at all, I do think Jackson Co are the favorites as Coe is a star and I really liked Kassidy Allen when I saw her play during the State Tourney last year. I was just stating that UC will also be legit. And don't put too much thought into the Bolus rankings as he can only rank players he has seen, Coe is the #5 senior just for the record.. MeMe Jackson (Blackman) is a top 50 player in her class Nationally according to HoopGurlz and she is in his "second 12" LeaLea Carter (Dickson Co) is the #11 player in her class Nationally according to HoopGurlz and she is in his "second 25" Both of those players should be much higher.
  16. With Averyale Joy and Deja Faulkner a year older they'll be pretty good this year.
  17. UC will be better than ever this year. Saw them play without Amber Fair against Paducah Tilghman and they looked really good. Saw them play on other occassions also, Hudson, Nettles, and BOTH Fairs will be very difficult to stop this year.
  18. They definitely are chanting 'over-rated' being under-rated is normally a good thing, it means no one thinks you are as good as you are.. However if you are over-rated then you aren't as good as you say..
  19. I don't think home field advantage will have much to do with who wins, only because Eagleville tends to have just as many fans at away games as the home team does and that will definitely be the case at Cascade..
