This explains the selection process... Just because you are nominated doesn't necessarily mean you'll even almost come close to playing in the game. http://www.mcdonaldsallamerican.com/aag/en/gamescenter/Team-Selection-Process.html" IMO, Bell, Middleton, Copeland, and maybe Coe deserve to be nominated. But once again not saying any of them would be close to playing in the game. (Except Middleton) Only 24 players can play in the game, the lowest ranking player that played in the game last year was Makayla Epps #37... Therefore Middleton at #28 is the only one really missing out as she is one of two in the state of TN in the top 100... Copeland is #70. There could be several reasons for Middleton not being nominated. Being nominated for the All-American game truly means nothing at the end of the day unless you really have a shot at playing in the game. Last year there were 12 guards in the game, they have to fill all positions. Middleton is the 14th best guard in the 2014 class. The highest ranking player out of KY is Kayla Rankin #66. No real chance at playing in the game. Let's be honest, the 2014 class in TN isn't extremely strong, neither is the 2015 class, so don't expect anyone from TN to play in the All-American game next year either. Same for the state of KY....
