Boone had another sloppy game against Cherokee! Interception, fumble, and uncalled for penalties. I'd say we will break the streak and get through this week, but if the mentality of the players don't change before DB and SH there could be some major problems. South may struggle to get through this season but DB did last year and now they are stacked. Just gotta hold on and weather a few storms. Boone stops the run, but lacks big time in pass defense. Usually gives up some pretty big plays in the secondary. How is Souths pass game this year? same as years past?

I sure hope so!! Two interceptions, some muffeled punt returns, and a fumble that led to a touchdown were slightly unimpressive. It was like after going up 17-0 the boys got bored...I know that I did. I did like the way that they responded when they realized that it wasn't over. The recievers didnt respond very well either. 9 had a couple of good catches but that was about it. Defense was solid I'm interested to see how they will line up against DB. I hope that we continue to improve and have another successful season.

That's no lie, the win over DB was alright. Seeing Jeremy jump like a little kid gets a blazers blood pumping, but it was the win agaisnt TN that made the season complete. Now everyone can say that "It'll never happen again" "ya lost two big defensive players" so on and so forth, and that's alright but Boone is a physical team. We don't have any 5 star athletes, heck we dont even have any 3 stars but we play together as a team. The pride is there in the school and community and regardless of the outcome of this season there will still be that pride. So I'd rather be a 4-6 trailblazers team then a state winning DB, SH, TN, or South. Boone is a family and at the end of the day it is truly great to be a DANIEL BOONE TRAILBLAZER!

I heard that they are gonna be serving CROW this year in the visitor concessions at Hale Stadium...I guess they heard you were gonna be there.

From what I can see from reading a majority of the posts over the last week or so, Everyone hates boone thanks to tosssweep. But here is the way that I see it. Alot of people in the Boone area have remarked that it will take awhile before SH is any good... I disagree with this. The tricities sports preseason Big 8 predictions had SH in the lower 4 which is bogus. I dont see Boone beating SH for a good 10 years. The mental block that south brought has moved over to SH. IMO. Stacey has the talent, coaching ability, and money to make SH something special. With that being said I will still be on the sideline chanting "Go Boone". I was not impressed with DB during the scrimmage. Im not sure if they just decided to hide everything play a basic quarter and be done with it, or if this is a preview of a long season for DB? Take away the 70 yard run from seabolt and a miscued snap from volunteer and the Falcons looked like a better team. IMO. South and TN looked like a pretty evenly matched contest. TN has the center and tight end, but other then that I wasnt impressed by either team. The contest between SH and Central can merely be considered a contest. 7 minutes into it God decided that he would put Central out of their misery. Im not sure that the Boone-DC is a proper assesment of what Boone can do. They pretty much ran the ball up the middle everytime, only giving DC the ball once and allowing one first down. DC did look like a more talented group then years past. Boone has leaked out some trickery that may be used this season. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. With all of this being said I am only assesing what I saw at the scrimmage, and I am not attacking any team or it's fans. I would like to know if what I saw was just me, or if others saw it to.

With complete logic being kept into consideration, Who will win the DB vs DB matchup?

Well most people were 4 for 4 on the first round, not bad. What about now? Daniel Boone vs. Science Hill Dobyns Bennent vs. Sevier County Who will be playin for the championship? Also, for everyone that talked about the lack of strong teams in the Big 8 and the underestimated IMAC teams, I guess it was proven tonight that the Big 8 is better then the IMAC even when the Big 8 has an off year...go figure.

I do not think that the IMAC is that weak, but speaking from personal picks I do not know alot about them. I've watched district one all season and know that the teams are solid. So its not that I think that the IMAC is that weak, I just believe that the Big 8 is just that strong. THS which stands as the 4th best beat Boone by a 3 the week before tournaments. Of course they had Harmon. SH looked sharp in the Consolation game against THS. DB had their hands full with a team full of heart. Not to say that the other teams don't have heart, but Boone plays strictly on emotions most of the time. The thing about Boone that makes them succesful is that it is a big community thing! Boone fans are faithful beyond belief.

Daniel Boone made a big cinderella run in the 1AAA district tournament. They were a number 5 seed, but Science Hill and Dobyns Benentt, which are big bball schools in northeast tn, are also in the district. Boone beat South, DB, and SH to win the district tournament. All of these teams beat Boone twice during the regular season. They got the overall number one seed in regionals but an angry science hill team sits at number 3...It will be interesting to see if Boone can beat SH again and if they can handle Sevier County, which they lost to in the Sonic Shootout Championship. Boone doesn't really have a bball star, just a team full of athletes. Connell, Reppart, Gator, Gray, Keever, and Chandley could be unstoppable. They play well as a team, and Coach Arnold has stepped up as a coach this year.

How bout them BLAZERS!!!!

Im not sure that I would consider a Daniel Boone W a huge upset. These boys have continued to get better throughout the season, and their record shows it. The first time Boone played SHHS and South both teams won by a pretty comfortable margin. The second time around the games were alot closer. The third time around they won. Same thing with Dobyns Bennent, The first time it was a blowout! The second time around Boone lost by 4. Same trend as with the other two. Boone is arguably playing the best ball of anyone in the Big 8 right now. There aren't any marvelous basketball players on the team...just a team full of athletes.

Who will come away with the W?

Indians better watch out! Boone is hot!
