  1. My prediction is Scotts Hill wins by 8 (44-36)
  2. One thing I have learned over the years is that it's the score at the end of the game that decides the winner and loser (not what the score is in the 1st quarter). Lake County (Flowers) threw up a wild out of control shot along the baseline from about 6 or 8 ft at the buzzer that some how managed to go in(she may have been fouled)and Lake Co wins by 2. Fouls and how well or poorly you shoot on any given night are part of the game. I do think Middleton has a chance to win this game, but Lake Co by 10 is probably a more likely scenario.
  3. 3/1/11 Update---Field of teams is down to 16. All 8 of above picks are still in the hunt.
  4. Question for some of the long time Bradford fans--back in the early 90's Braford had a great player named Michelle Street. Is the Street girl that currently plays for Bradford related to Michelle?
  5. I also agree. I think Scotts Hill should have the #1 ranking (for what that's worth). I have seen Scotts Hill play several games recently and they do have a really good team. They are well coached and have a good well balanced offense, some height and a really good defense and they are undefeated (23-0) against some good competetion this season. If Scotts Hill brings their A game during the tournaments leading to the final gold ball game, they will be a contender. As we all know the best team does not always win the Gold Ball. You have to bring your A game every night, stay healthy, catch the right breaks at the right time and have Lady Luck on your side. I did see Lake county play Middleton the other night and it was a good hard fought game played by two good teams and Lake County hit a shot at the buzzer to win by 2. I do know that Scotts Hill has beaten Middleton twice this year already and will probably have another rematch during the tournaments. Can Scotts Hill beat Lake Co? The answer would be yes. Can Lake Co. beat Scotts Hill? the answer would be yes. There are several really good teams in class A this year that could win the championship. But again in my opinion at this point in the season Scotts Hill with a 23-0 record and being the only undefeated team is Class A, I think they do deserve the #1 ranking until someone proves differently.
  6. I know it's early, but here are my predictions for the girls class A teams that will be attending the dance at the "Boro" in March: Moore Co Wayne Co Lake Co Scotts Hill Jackson Co Red Boiling Springs North Greene Oakdale
  7. Should be on Lexington radio station FM 99.3. Go Lady lions!!!
  8. I have been to all of Scotts Hill games this year except for a couple. I have not heard any you suck chants.
  9. I think Humboldt is a lot like the Middleton team Scotts Hill beat last night. They have quickness and like to play and up tempo game. They have a couple of girls who can shoot the 3-ball, but as with most 3-ball shooters some nights you got it and some nights you don't. If Humboldt has a good night from 3 point range, they will be tough competition. Scotts Hill may have one of their starters out for this game due to injury in the Middleton game. Scotts Hill has a good defensive team which will prove to be a challenge for Humboldt. Scotts Hill will also have the home court and Scotts Hill's strong fan support should also be plus for the Lady Lions. All things considered, I think this will be a close game and Scotts Hill wins 47 to 41.
  10. Gleason over Middleton 39 to 33 Scotts Hill over Humboldt 48 to 41
