I was glad to see all of the TN guys both high school and middle school at Super 32 working to make themselves better. I believe it is one of the toughest tournament if not the toughest tournament in the country. You are wrestling by weight no matter what grade. We had several wt classes with over 150 wrestlers in them. We need to be admiring those that are making the effort to make themselves better. There are wrestlers that are traveling to get the best competition. I see the at Brute National, High School National and Super 32. I believe you will see a lot of them on the podium at State.

It is illegal, When you lift your opponent off the mat your are responsible for his safe return. A slam is lifting and returning your opponent to the mat with unnecessary force. The knees hitting the mat first is no longer in the rule book. In this situation y ou have awrestler with his arm traped and he can't protect himself. The referee has to make a split second call and whether the wrestler can continue or not has no bearing on the call.

It was great to see the Tennessee wrestlers at this tournament and I was glad to see them have a good tournament and represent Tn so well. We need to try and have more wrestlers attend these type of tournaments. CONGRAULATION to all those that went.
