Won't be any excuses. If we lose, we lose and I'll admit that yall were the better team. But don't start hating on our players for winning a game when you will be playing some teams just as small as greenfield.

Is that your excuse for the camden game? Or how about when westview beats the brakes off your precious little rebels next week? Most of our boys go both ways..same as greenfield. We don't have a lot of size or speed but we will find ways to win and I promise you we are gonna bring the fight to yall in a couple weeks.

They're running a 3-4. I'm really looking forward to watching them play this year cause I've been hearing a lot of good things about them

Well from what I saw yesterday our Dresden boys looked pretty good against UC. The final score was 5-5 (5-6 if you count jv). I thought we looked really good on offense but there is a lot of room for improvement. Defense looked good at times but they definitely need work. I was impressed by the younger players who have had to step up and take over starting roles since we lost a lot of seniors last year (the whole starting o-line). I'm glad to see Dresden football finally start to hang with the better teams from around here. If our boys lose it won't be from a lack of effort. GO LIONS!

Haha I know it blows your mind don't it Butchie? I don't care too much for Greenfield but I hate to see any team from around here lose a lot of games. Lookin' forward to kicking of the season at G'field. GO LIONS!

What district is Humboldt in? I thought they were in 14a with Union City and Lake Co. but I don't guess they are

I've always liked Bruceton and I'm glad to see them finally show some signs of improvement. Keep it up tigers

Congrats, that is like being the smartest person in Arkansas. It's great for Arkansas but not too impressive when you consider what the claim is and where it is being made. If you wanna gauge how good your team actually is, why don't you look into how many big time guys you put into elite DIV-I football every year. Is it a decent amount? sure. Is it more than Meigs Co.? You bet. Is it more than that of the A-AAAAA champions from the state of Georgia? Hardly not. Is it more than a AA perennial power from Georgia? No. I don't think it's possible for any school in the south to win 2 straight (much less 6 straight) state championships with as little or no elite talent outside the state of Tennessee. 2009 saw Alcoa absolutely DOMINATE the state of Tennessee. It's BEST player couldn't even get an offer from the illustrious state school that is located right down the road from AHS. C'mon, even you real F5 homers know that that says a lot about you and your competition. I don't know any players from the past couple of years, but Randall Cobb is one of the best players in the SEC right now and he's from Alcoa.

I've seen just about every Lake Co team that has played in the history of Lake co high school..Been some good teams and players throughout the years come through there..Last year when Lake Co started 5-1..I wrote that this team wasn't very good..Had beaten Fulton City,Fulton Co and a couple more that was about like a middle school team..Those teams were that bad..Like I said in one of my posts last year that I still vaguely remember..I could have taken some of the former players that were 40 years old and beaten any of those teams.Lake Co has several good players returning ,including the quarterback,running back and several linebackers and lineman...Was a little weak at the end position last year along with one of the linebacker spots..Going to miss Cris Rogers,who seemed to make most of the plays..but still should win 7 or 8 games this year ...just my guess because of about 7 or 8 starters coming back and what I believe will be a lot of teams down in talent..From what I read..South Fulton,Bruceton,Greenfield may be down so with Lake Co playing maybe Fulton Co and Fulton City ..should be no reason to maybe win 8 games this year..A 6 win season this year is a very down year to me with the players they have returning..And that to go along with what I think will be weaker teams.!I agree..clean house..start all over..I'm sure that's not going to happen though..probably going to hear..Lake Co don't have the money or the coaches we have really aren't teachers and are basically just helping us out..The money Lake Co has been making the past ...several seasons in basketball and football....should have a couple million dollars in the funds.. Greenfield is always down so you can chalk that one up as a win

We dresden people know how you feel..3 different head coaches in the past 4 years. It sucks but i'm sure yall can find somebody better that will actually stay
