  1. Yes I agree with you Booger, strange things do happen in this district only thing going against coalfield is the satellite in furst round, Oneida is tough on their home floor
  2. SO could be some shakes up if oneida beat os? and coalfield beats oakdale? The first round games are satellite? right
  3. Yes I would agree, Wartburg Girls last couple of years have been strong, but they got a very talented gorup, so their middle school being slight under talented this yr shouldnt hurt them in long run, OS had good group as well, last yr, they however had kids go into different directions, ( meaning to other schools) although the better ones stayed with OS. Coalfield, yeah its wild bc their girls seem to not want to play basketball when they get to high school? Becuase look how many times there playing in tournaments at end and can't seem to get over hump. OS and Wartburg and ONEIDA all play AA in junior high, and coalfield , oakdale, sunbright, jellico all play single A. Big difference in middle school.
  4. I remember seeing her in state, I thought she grad. wow yeah she is hard nosed type
  5. Rhodes is one of best I have seen this year, Moore county has a solid inside player. Wartburg High school has got a freshman who is very gifted for her age and basketball level of experience. she has great potentional
  6. I do not see any either 4afan4u, although Coalfield could give Oakdale a run, but highly doubt it ( unless Hamby has 40+. I think any of 4 could win esp if they get hot, they have all played in spurts this yr, Wartburg and Os being two that have played best overall, but all 4 are capable of getting hot and winning it.
  7. Your right on the schedule I seen them play a couple of times, but as a whole, 4a is more talented top to bottom. I do like the data you gathered, I guess the region tourney shall decide it for us to see. Both wins came at home, *remember region will be in district 4A this yr.* Food for thought hopi. Good thread tho.
  8. Is Flowers still there? T.T. Where is she goin to school at?
  9. Yeah from what I understand Kilby just pounded them, Thompson is not BACK. Still gimpy, oneida sounds like they have hit a wall,so to speak. The Wartburg game came down to coaching and execution, could see district tourney battle with these two teams again, I watched the other district, maybe only tellico plains can compete with district 4A,.
  10. Teams in memphis ain't nobody's I seen they played in city christmas tourney, I seen tucker play , her is solid, NEWBy is best in state for reason, One player + athletes who can run, =usual team out of memphis, they live it and breath ball there, although, I do remember seeing a good memphis treazvant team, go down to one man show named KIRK haston!!! so o well should be exciting to see if they meet in tourney!!
  11. Improvement would be a WIN!!! not chipping score down and They have began the hack a shaq ploy which is why they stay close in games. just fouling aint basketball, and it aint being rough, I know.
  12. Got to go with Oneida if Thompson aint healthy for oakdale. I think Oneida will end up beating OS at end of yr...thats my prediction!
  13. I think it will be a good night of basketball all around, I think the girls game will be a battle, to see whose style dictates the game, I look for Wartburg to reconcile what happened at OS, I think OS, has been skating by, but should be an interesting match up none the less, Coach Michelle Christopher and Coach Jason Davis both have been in the bull ring before, I would have to give edge to Bulldogs coach, in game strategy,. But Michelle's kids play hard, and play for pride of what their program means. So should be tough game. I think Wartburg boys will be waiting on OS this time, they haven't lost since over their, Fountain has been on a mission as of late, they have good team chemistry all around, they know when and where to go when they need buckets and stops! boys win big!
  14. I agree, it's going to be a battle this yr for sure.
  15. Neby is very solid, going to ole miss. But Alex Fountain from Wartburg, has unbelievable numbers, seen this kid play twice, He play sin EYBL NIKE for TN TRavelers 6'7'' swingman.
  16. Oneida region? Maybe? Very true, but I wouldnt call it a foreign defense , its just different similiar to syracuse, very similar, Oneida has talent, but their coach is not a zone coach, and most good zone teams work on man all the time, but with principles in situations. I think Oneida has a rough battle first round of district if they don't start playing better. I think Oneida going to OS will be huge, I think its right before the district. Mind the fan and crowd over there and Oneida may can win there. Jackson Knows what she is doing, as long as fans will be patient and let her work her team. She knows how to win
  17. Agreed he is a solid coach, little bit animated but very good coach.
  18. Big win , I am hearing alot of good stuff about the Fountain kid, a coaching friend of mine says he is mid-major caliber and showed what he could do the other night in front of people and solid team in ONEIDA. I think Oneida will rally back only been beat twice in district both by Wartburg.Yaden does good job. Not sure what the section did? Did they hit a player or something?
  19. I think the Wartburg girls have had some dings, but he is not hiding kids he has hard nosed kids who want to keep playing, Its all about how you execute now, and who makes more plays down the stretch and hwo is willing to do the rough work on the glass, dive for loose balls, and play tough D, they have very talented young kids, who have been progressing since the day they got there and good group of older kids with talent, who have been in the big games, if they will buy into the concept of just controlling what they can control they will make a run at the region. Yes coalfield jacketfan96, I think Coalfield is done by first round, tough though, Hamby kid plays her heart out and has no help, tough on that kid.
  20. Oliver springs wont win the district, winning with that "brutish" i am gonna try and beat you up, because I can't play basketball will win some but ultimately not win the titles. You know I have only seen them 2 times this year, but yes I have heard esp from other coaches about number 24, she is a talented kid but her effort level doesn't look to be what it has been in past 2 yrs, although I seen her numbers have been picking up after Christmas. She really needs to put the team on her shoulders and play like the player that she can, she is long, athletic, and can attack the rim. I think that would really help her team emotionally after losing one leader, that's what good teams do, a veteran leader goes down and another one steps up in that place. Also for her sake, if she plans on doing anything after high school (playing some college ball), she needs to start picking it up.
  21. I heard two of district bigger teams had kids who got hurt? any truth? OZ beat wartburg, but at OS no team gets fair shake over there. terrible environment and really not a good sports environment, just like to heckle athletes/players and try to use disgraceful style of playing dirty to teams, I am an Anderson County native so I remember how bad it was to play there!
  22. Samantha Hamby, I dont think she is D1 material but yes small college or division 2 maybe. she has no help tho
  23. How will either team fair in a sub- state with Teams from Region 2? anyone know or care to make a guess?
