  1. I read your reply and enjoy them alot appears you have a fair opinion most all of the time. What exactly did you mean lost 3 by 7 points and another decisively!! Funny to me this thread began about the war of the Wilson's and ended up in this direction. Go LHS Blue Devils look forward to your future...
  2. Wow! This makes no sense, apparently the girls didn't come ready to play and he made a comment to motivate them to step up, Although this is not college group of girls nor are they a group of junior high players. Unfortunatily very few of the feeder schools realize the importance to fundametals at the fifth and six grade levels and once they arrive in Jr. High they are lacking fundamentals when they should be preparing to learn High School plays etc. Having this man can make a difference in our girls future and everyone including parents need to understand the job ahead of him. He has a vision for the future and a man of his calibre does not take a job for one year expecting miracles but what he would expect is for the girls to come ready to play their hearts out. The last thing any of the girls need is parents bashing him questioning him on how he does his job. This game was a loss that he apparently felt they should have could have won hands down. So do the girls a favor and be a positive player in this game and support your coach I would have to bet he is very aware on how to do his job and has nothing but their future in mind. Phargis you stated it well! I don't mean to be blunt but kids need to be accountable for their actions and in the big scheme of things playing basketball is a valuable tool in their life for their future forgive me if I offended anyone. It is a sad thing to think that kids will move next year just cause they disagree with the coaches coaching. Once upon a time a principle of Lebanon High School lived by a motto. (Harry Sutton) "Never give Up Never ever give Up" So lets not give up on these LHS girls....
  3. Your Right I do not know the whole story, thank you for filling in the blanks, It was brought to my attention about what the Johnson girl may have done and I do admire the girls for taking a stand, I stand to be corrected. Apparently the punishment given was possibly the avenue for her to exit the team, not sure. I can only imagine the girls that left have vested many years in their game and just truly hate to see them feel that had to leave, I also think about the girls that chose to stay and where they stand in all this, I really hate it all the way around and only wish that there could be a equal medium in all this. Nobody is perfect and everyone deserves chances to get it right. What ever the coach chose to do I have to think that she prayed about it and did what she thought was right in this sort of circumstance. But again when I posted my post I had just bits and pieces to this situation, and I really hate to see girls give up something they have worked so very hard for, the Sr. year is suppose to be a great year to remember and sure this one will be remembered just hope there are no regrets. Forgive me
  4. Does anyone know who won the championship game...
  5. Does anyone have any results to todays games. Any idea who will pull this out.
  6. I can hardly believe that the Jr. and Sr. left as they did, coach runs a good ship and for whatever Johnson did I am sure it was dealt with. Thing is every child situation I am sure is different, consequences might be set differently accordingly. I bet the coach handled it in a way that was suited for the situation. It is jsut unfortunate that parents allowed the other team members QUIT. If I had to guess and I am guessing whatever happened had nothing to do with the girls that quit. In the girls future this sort of behavior is not going to get them thru their adult life. I totally realize this is not any of my business but it saddens me to see a program get effected in this way, although the girls left behind will rise above and basically become better players it is just such a poor example set by the girls that left. Reminds me of the idea if things don't go their way in the future they will bail out. If I were them I would before time passes rethink decision and get back on board with the program. Kids that give up sports can suddenly loose all their discipline and make some really bad choices in the future that can effect them worse on down the line. Good luck to Coach and asst.
  7. Does anyone have any scores from the games today...Any comments on anybody exceptional
  8. Well it needs to be said that the teachers at the school are very dedicated to their students and the standards of academics in the school seem to have been a priority to the formal coach. So that scenerio is already in place for the new coach coming in. I would have to think that the new coach would love to send any of his athlete's on to play college ball and in order to do that the students will have to make the grades. One of their valuable players during camp was not able to attend due to her having the honor to attend girls state. The whole situation is a win win for all involved and look forward to watching the team be successful. The stats at the school academically are alot better than the condition of the school. Ms. Ashe made that a priority during her stay in the school.
  9. Well what can we say the AD did a great job on finding a great fit for the LHS program. It will be more than interesting to see who his coaching staff will consist of. Does anyone know who will be coaching with him? The girls will be in good hands with this hire. We all know that anyone caring about this program need to plan on being in the stands supporting these girls along with the new coaching staff. I can't say it enough how important it will be for all of us to show them support. Great job AD and administration for making Coach Inman their new head coach. Look forward to the future of LHS....
  10. Well I would like to refine my earlier comment about the good ole boy system. I feel like the AD and whoever chooses the next LHS Coach will do a great job. I suppose my comment is a reflection of how the school as a whole has been given the short end of the stick. But let me say that the staff at LHS is the most dedicated in the county from what I have seen. I trust that they make the right choice and will give the program the best qualified staff possible. The talent is obviously there so let us all pray that the team welcomes whomever the choice is and know that they are there for them to succeed. Ashley was an asset to the program and whoever takes her place should be just another piece of the pie. As I stated we can all trust that the AD does the very best choosing the next coach and cares to see the team succeed. Success could be even more if the true blue fans shows themselves at the games and give the team the fan base that they desire you know the whole program does not just revolve around the players the coach anyone who cares about the program need to understand the importance of the fans to these young girls, Sort a like the saying you build the field they will come....
  11. Well as for the AD it will be interesting who he chooses, interesting, too often in this town the good ole boy systems finds it way in and lets hope that he has the interest of what is best for the girls and the school.
  12. Well first and no disrespect but you should know that Ashley Clark played for Ole Miss not MTSU. But both played for D1 schools and both are Awesome! But as for Alysha Clark tell me who is she playing WNBA for I tried to find her on the roster of San Antonio Silver Stars and for what I read they did not have her on their final roster something about her height. That is so disappointing and what a loss for them. They must not have really watched her play it didn't matter how tall she was she could always make things happen. I have never seen a player with the vision she had on the court. Her determination as a player was unbelieveable. Saw her at one game scoring over 50 points and not even being selfish with the ball. She would be a true leader but as you said probably not in the cards. But boy is she well respected. My largest hope is that whoever they choose is someone with the right experience to get these girls what they deserve. Please do tell who was lucky enough to get Alysha Clark Silver Stars are going to regret their decision wait and see.
  13. Well whoever gets the position I hope they are in it for the long haul. In my opinion it should be someone outside of the box. Nobody local with school ties but someone who know the game. Someone who has been where these girls are similar to Ashley. Alysha Clark would be a great prospect if she was at all interested and qualified. But most important this person needs to have backbone to stay longer that a few years give the talent there a fair chance to succeed. The talent is there in all grades. So pray for the administration to make the best decision!
  14. Does anyone have the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th place winners with scores if all possible?
