We all have gotten over a loss by a good team from Perry County and their impressive coach. It's just too bad that you bring them down with your lack of class!!

And I didn't see your name on the silver or gold ball last year or this year!!! And I didn't see any of your players names on the list for McDonald's All American or Mr. basketball!! You can't hide your green envy, it's so sad that you have such sour grapes. You need to look up the definition of recruiting, I am not going to waste any time talking about that today, you have nothing ton worry about, Perry County is too far for a daily drive!!!!

Saw something about the kids at summertown standing so close to the floor. McEwen knows how to do that too!!! Very intimidating and I will have to say, CA dreads the fans of McEwen, so Summertown should dread them too! They are faithful to the end and if they open up the 3s, look out summertown!!!

The Summertown folks are giving your Warriors a hard time on the Summertown vs. McEwen feed on the message board. They don't know what your team is capable of in this sport. I have seen McEwen kick the back ends of some very good teams, and I believe they have been ranked most of the season. CA played summertown last year and shut down their star player. McEwen can do that do, he's good, but not unstoppable. The Region 5 championship game was not vintage mcewen b ball, they did have a bad night, I hope McEwen wins and shows Summertown the door in their own gym. It will be a dog fight though, they don't quit!!

Does that apply to all private schools who win in a sport, or just CA because they are winning? So when Nashville Christian wins, do they automatically recruit too: I am sorry, I should have written it out in crayon, advertisement is for everything, not just sports. I didn't bring up the issue of how many students there are in the school, but I will finish it for you!! Apparently there are people on here who just talk for the sake of talking, not because they know anything about a school. Sour grapes you are!!!

It's a private school, all private schools advertise. Look in the family magazines, there are advertisements everywhere. CA doesn't get state money. It is all by tuition and donation. We must advertise. Does that hurt any other school? The answer is no, it has no effect on the other schools and their athletic programs.

Okay, this is not normal, but I will have to agree with follower93 on this one. Isn't that the year that the official scorekeeper (scoreboard keeper actually) didn't post one of the CA's points and the game should have gone into overtime? I thought that game was in Robertson County, but I could be wrong. So now, you see, CA has had their share of "official complaining" like every other team. I have looked at Perry County's stats, believe me, no on eis taking them for granted. At this level, everyone can have a bad night. Case in point, Ravenwood vs. Clarksville High Girls. Just had to throw that in, Go Clarksville High girls, hammered Ravenwood and going to the State Tournament.

All of these posts about recruits seems to be a bad taste in your mouths because CA is winning in basketball. I might draw your attention to the academic part of this school. We have a significantly higher average on the ACT and SAT than other schools, we have in excess of 2 million dollars in scholarships in the past five years, and we have had over 500 students in the school for more than five years. Yes, I have the numbers at my fingertips. The current head of school has been there 9 years. As for the athletics, why can't you negative people just be happy for a school that has done well? I know your favorites may have been beaten by CA, but come on, these are hard working kids, and they have been good ambassadors for our school. AND THEY ARE AN AWESOME BASKETBALL TEAM!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THEM PLAY, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!! If they talk to other people that they play ball with, that is not the school going and trying to steal them to play basketball. That is no different than one school who coaxes a kid to play ball when they are playing football instead. Other private schools are in this district, and they have their strengths too. Take Nashville Christian, they have a great ball team. As for McEwen, they are a well coached team and from this CA person, I personally hope they will make it to Murfreesboro, since Coach T and others on this feed have said that 10A is a weak district. Not true, so go Warriors and Cougars. AND STOP HATING ON CA, and talk real sports. You people are going to have to pick on someone else soon.

Thank you Ms. Hyde, you are correct, CA has no recruits. All students have been at the school for a significant period of time, especially the twins. They have been at the school since the 7th grade. Count it, that's since they were little kids. They have great parents and are great kids, along with the rest of the team. Get a grip 5510, ZERO are recruits!!! Don't really care what you think, take a look at your posts and the replies, everyone is laughing at you!!!

You are mistaken, did you really think that I or anyone else would make a statement like that if I hadn't seen them play? Do you really believe that refs that come from different parts of the state favor one team? That doesn't make any sense and it is an insult to the refs. They do the best they can, and yes for your information, I have seen many games that CA has played and probably many more than you. That is a fact and they take just as much heat from the refs as anyone else. I doubt having Mr. Basketball has anything to do with the refs either.

I agree, is 5510 ever happy with any refs? Who do you want to ref? Lets's make him happy. He has complained about every game and their refs, unless they went his/her way!!! Oh I forgot, he is the expert at basketball, why isn't he the coach at Duke then!!!

Some of You are real idiots!! for you to say that Martin is overrated, is the dumbest thing anyone has ever heard!!! You apparently haven't been watching the games all year. Although you act like you are a coach and should be on the the bench yourself!!!! No one cares what you would do. By the way, have you checked how many times CA has man handled your "Warriors". Pay attention guys and gals, Malcolm, Martin, Travis, Martin C. , Montel and the others are real players, They don't need the refs to help them. They are playing basketball and you should all appreciate the level of play and stop hating on them. By the way, learn how to use the word "their".

The field is in good shape. The last time Jo Byrns played there the field was brand new. All of the facilities are finished. The locker rooms are very nice. I believe that CA has had to play in the mud at Jo Byrns a time or two and at other schools in this district. Private vs. Public doesn't matter, a project like this takes time to complete. You JB fans should see a vast improvement on Friday. As for the fishing comment, apparently that person doesn't know their geography, Clarksville is sitting right next to a river!!! And so is this field!!

I totally agree with Hammer21, everyone move on. Let Coach Shephard and Coach Hood move on and think about more important things like Fall, 2010, and football season beginning. I do know that the players at CA are excited about getting started and moving on. Let's be positive for the kids. End of Story!!!

You may not be a coach, BUT whatever you are, you certainly have your facts out of line. So whoever you are getting your information from is either lying or just stupid. In case you haven't noticed, you are one of the few supporters of Shephard and if you are so interested in the Academy, how many of your "friends" appreciate you bashing the school and the administration? There is much more to the non renewal of his contract than you will ever know, but he knows. It really has nothing to do with his restaurant. If the school is sooooo bad, then why do you keep stewing over this? I know for a fact she did interview several coaches, but what do you care, you just keep slinging mud and spreading lies. AGAIN THERE WAS NO PRACTICE!!!

And let's leave the kid's names out of this because they have nothing to do with this other than they played for a coach who told them what to do.
