  1. That is probably an acurate number with 96 students and the cost of the schools that are listed. You must understand how that number is calculated. If each student applies to an average of 4 schools (and that is probably a low number) and receives scholarship/financial aid dollars from each of the school applied to then that is all added (whether they attend that school or not) together and multiplied by the four years of college. As you can see it does not take long to accumulate 9 mil. I don't like the way schools promote this. I think they should only advertise the dollars actually accepted!! I was surprised to see however a student from EHS having to go to a prep school post graduation. That has to be disappointing.
  2. It is quite interesting. The father of Lewis (CA) said they looked at several programs across the country before deciding to offer Flight her skills. Kalena has committed to UCONN. Ariel Massengel, ranked as high as number 3 in her class has ties to the Mid-TN area. Her father is a native of Shelbyville and said it was an easy connection to such a strong program (2 Nike National Champioships of the past 3). The really interesting part is that these two outstanding players were not with the team for the major part of the summer. They were both competing with the 17u USA National Team in France. While gone this group of TN girls went undefeated winning tournaments in Dallas TX, Lexington KY, Murfreesboro TN, and Nashville TN. Against some of the same teams they competed against in the Nike Natinals.
  3. Let me help you out.....Congrats to: Taylor Reece (Brentwood Academy), Shanice Cason (Siegel), Caya Williams (Mt. Juliet), Isabell Harrison (Hillsboro), McKenzie Sells (Livingston Aca), Whitney Kyle (Jefferson County), Marjorie Butler (Knoxville Webb), Shacobia Barbee (Riverdale0, and also Kalena Lewis (CA), Ariel Massengel (IL), Rebecca Greenwell (KY).
  4. In the loss to JPII it was the varsity team less C. Slay. Also, Byner has yet to participate. Still recovering from injury. It will be interesting to see where point production comes from. There is no individual offensive threat to replace Carpenter and I haven't seen anyone that can provide the range lost with Alsmiller.
  5. I know that at Team Camp @ A-game Ensworth split with Hillsboro and Jackson County. Ensworth hosted a Team Camp and lost to JPII there. Along the way they beat Overton, Cane Ridge, Cunberland Co, FRA, Westmoreland, and Brentwood.
  6. Ensworth really? After all they lost from last year (Alsmiller, Carpenter, Parker, etc...) what do they have replacing that much of their offense?
  7. Scores I know......anybody got others??? Shelbyville 28 vs. Livingston 36 Cascade 30 vs. Knoxville Catholic 35 Cascade 46 vs, Pleasant Grove, Ala. 19 Shelbyville 26 vs. Walker Valley 24 Lenoir City 39 vs. Community 28 Cascade 45 vs. Gallatin 43 Shelbyville 20 vs. Farragut 26 Shelbyville 37 vs. Chuckey Doak 50 1 Community 20 vs. Watertown 34 12 Oneida 50 vs. Cascade 45 5 Watertown 20 vs. Cascade 38
  8. OK... This was too easy. Bedford County Board of Education Policy Num. 6.204 Issued 7/15/99 http://www.tsba.net/production/detail.a ... 6&iBoard=1 Guess there are some out there that know what they are talking about!!
  9. errr I would re-state what an earlier poster experssed. Does anyone what to coach in Franklin County? Really? Location...Location...Location!!
  10. Team Camps are a great place to hear the latest scuttlebut. Alot of talk about building the SHS program with Sh_ville girls & girls moving to Sh_ville to play. All you informed people out there confirm or refute this for me. "The attend and play at SHS you don't have to live in Sh_ville or even Bedford county. You only have to request admission and be approved by the school system. You can live wherever you wish." Heard this is written policy!!
  11. I will leave this tpoic to you slow and easy. Don't dis to quickly. You may still get some...... the invitations are already being re-extended.
  12. You hit the point mom. You would have been amazed!!
  13. That's easy. The same number as the number of interviews AC has had for the 6 other coaching jobs she has applied for this summer.
  14. I'm guessing that inconvenience is gone!!
  15. Interesting post mom. You say TI's CURRENT aau player think he is a joke. Why then would they choose to play for his organization? Interesting also you included a "/former" in that description. Is that because they will no longer be in that organization now that TI knows their true feelings.
  16. Allison Clark is your man....good luck with that!!!! Sorry file13 probably no Jack.
  17. My pick is the coach that can do the most for the program. The coach that every great player in the mid-state will wish they could play for. SCHS will not return to the power it was with out that draw. With the coaches listed as the two front runners.....what does it matter witch gets it.....the program remains the same. Sorry I don't have a name. I am not on the search committee either!!
  18. Premiere? ...... now that is a stretch. When a program goes deep in the NCAA then we can talk premiere!! I guess what I am trying to say is...... Hop on 231 and head Straight thru the 'Boro and up to Wilson county. Now if a school like Lebanon finds a hire like Inman why can't a program like SCHS attract something better than a former coordinator/assistant coach from the same premiere program.?
  19. What is Clark's resume? I know ?assistant? at MTSU, but whay really is her resume?
  20. Word on the street is that he is the new assistant at CPA!!
  21. I have heard that Grover Levy is the new guy. Any confirmation?
  22. WOW.... I thought SCHS supporters where not content with where there girls b-ball teams ended up year end and year OUT!!
  23. Heard recently that BGA is in search of a new head coach. Could not find anything on it on CoachT. Does anyone know if this is true??
