It really does not matter who is in what bracket you have to play the team in front of you and I really believe The Pirates are ready and willing this year to get down and dirty. They are not a lot tougher this year and as you can see by there actions they will not take anything. Just ask Chatt central about that. So whoever is there get ready. The reason the Pirates lost the state title last year was coaching and that is it. You don't go for a field goal on the 4 yd line and your defensive coach must be able to at least go to a 5 man line when your 3 man line is getting whipped. I wish someone who disagrees with me would tell me why we really lost.

I tried to tell everyone it would not be close and for some reason everyone kept saying why BB would keep it close. The only things that can keep the Pirates from winning it all this year will be Danny Wilson not being able to adapt in a big game or the players themselves lack of self discipline. Even when I played after a fight broke out the team handled it Seniors and Juniors need to step up and take care of it not leave it up to the coaches every time. That is a sign of lack of leadership but there is no lack of talent and I hope Joe Burns or whoever they are won and did not blow it again this year because I would really like to play the team that is always ranked#1 but never makes it to the dance.

Get it right it is Danny Wilsons defense and he needs to be more adaptable to situations but he want have to worry about it from Boyd. Not enough speed and or talent. There is no way Boyd will stay with the Pirates and everyone knows it. There is also no way that Boyd wanted to delay last years game till Saturday and as bad as the weather was the Pirates if they had hit there extra points they would not have been throwing the ball at the end of the game to get it intercepted and would have still won the game. So with that being set Boyd was better last year and if all of the Pirates starters are playing let anyone bet on Boyd to win and be very disappointed.

I am amazed that this legend can get our stadium right and can't even get his home teams right in jasper. Remember you said David Baxter stadium. Give me and everyone else a break and go watch Jasper or Whitwell play.

Do not even bet on it being that close Boyd has size but speed kills and after this week against Whitwell it is easy to see that even the Pirates freshmen have speed to burn. BB watch out if you can maybe you can pray for flash floods, lightning and tornados because that is all that will help you again this year. It is over.

Of course someone hasn't watched the film on the 85 game. The Pirates had the chances especially on balls laid on the carpet but did not get any of them. Our offensive guards got demolished which led to the offense not being able to get the single wing going. As for Mr.Ferrel I think he did grow up a lot that game but if you hold the ball to long guess what you better scramble.

If the defense is able to adapt to change during the game instead of the coaches having to give an apology for not being prepared for something not seen before the Pirates can beat anyone. They will win big tonight but when the next big game comes will Danny Wilson be ready not the players.

Another reason you would not see this match up is because if the Pirates would lose to NJ that is what is supposed to happen but if that bigger school got beat by us it would look so bad for them they would not know what to do. Maybe they would have to recruit harder.

South Pittsburg Legend sounds a lot like the jasper guy. Basically a goof. He needs to move on up the jasper and hang out. If he wants to compare his stature with mine bring it on.

Let's be perfectly honest if the Pirates would have not got cute and tried to pass in the last few minutes of the game and just kept running the ball right up the middle where SM did not show they could stop us consistantly. True the balls were on target but handing off is easier than passing the ball and Danny Wilson has shown again just like against Union City he is unable or unwilling to change out of the 3 man line. Maybe he does not think he has the player to run another D but guess what 2 big games 2 big losses mostly because of the defense. Great game and I hope everyone enjoyed it and last but not least I will say that I have never been a Travis Millard fan but I can honestly say he played a great game and I hope he keeps his confidence up and keeps proving people wrong because he did me.

One thing I am curious about is that all these media people that are saying this game is a toss up if I am hearing correctly needs to just listen to the Freepress so called experts who did not have the Pirates in there top 10. If anyone has disrespected us it is them. They want to cover the Pirates especially at the end of the year when we are usually the only ones still playing but they pull something like that. Big Bad mccallie gets beaten by Tyner who the Pirates beat the last 2 years. Signal Mountain ranked that high after the Pirates waxed them last year and lets not forget North Jackson who always are ranked ahead of us until the same team who they are supposed to beat every year knocks them out of the playoffs. This is just something that kind of burns me. They keep Stephen Hargis under control up there but we need someone fighting for us.

Well it is time and I am glad. Both teams have been picking on teams that could not beat them with the Jets D. The best thing about this game will be the atmosphere and can I say without sounding to bias that the game of the year is going to be between 2 of the smaller schools not the big ones in Tennessee. The only thing SM is going to find out is that is is tough coming to the BURG and having the fans right in your face going crazy. They have not experienced anything like it and it could be disturbing. I am glad everyone is healthy and I hope the refs let them play. 6 touchdowns called back of an average of about 50yds per give me a break. See all of you at the game.

Why does it not surprise me that Mr Chubb from South Pittsburg is on this list. Well we will wait till the end of the year and see then. Typical early season list.
