If Union City can cut down on the penalties and play normal ball control, Union City will be conditioned better and should be fine. Union City typically a second half team will be prepared and ready. We expect a physical game with many athletes on the other side of the football.

No comparison to the 2014 team. More like the 2013 team. 2009 U C had a kicker who could nail 40 yrd field goals. Ours now ( kicker ) is getting better. 2014 was by far best ever football team and will take alot to compare. Only way would be go 14-0 or 15-0 this year.

Gibson County will wish they've never heard of Union City. They just can't compete with a team like Union City. U C by alot and alot more. Freshmen start second half. The closest the score will be is the minute Gibson County steps off their bus. Gonna be bad. 5-0

We had hardy any penalties against a previous ranked #1 USJ who is a favorite to make a strong run for a state title game. Beat them 19-6 so your statement is false. These are not professionals and are 15 to 18 yr old kids who are gonna have their good days and bad days. Go Tornadoes

So you are saying a team like USJ can't handle public schools ? They handled U C very well last year. 6 D1 recruits. USJ would beat most public schools 3A and smaller. U C is a speedy, ground and pound running machine averaging over 450 yrds of rushing offense per game so far. Your not gonna stop the run game of U C. You may pass against them and succeed but your own run game will be shut down by their defense. Just sayin'

And my comment wasn't even downing Huntingdon. I'm not surprised at this outcome of the game. These people need to read closer! Riverside doesn't play the off region teams week after week like Huntingdon and Union City play. My dig was at Riverside, not Huntingdon. But some people from Huntingdon has always been like that. Come on people, smdh !

I can assure RIVERSIDE, they don't beat up on teams like we do over here. For example, they ( Riverside ) have not played a team like McKenzie, ( like Huntingdon has). Riverside has also not played a U S J or Lake County like team ( Like Union City Has ). Riverside would finish 3rd or 4th in our region this year and yes I said that and most over here would agree.

At the game. About like Tennessee Playing Ball State. Knew this would be a tough game for H C. Except Houston County is not as good as Ball State.

Watching game. Neither team very impressive as in years past. Still feel a Peabody win.

Union City is gaining steam every game. They dismantled a talented Lake Co. Team and never had a chance. USJ came into Tornado Alley and headed for shelter eay in the 4th qter. Yes, Union City is that good and really has picked up the pace. They play smash mouth, run it over you football. So far, Lake County nor #1 ranked USJ had a answer. U C defense held USJ to under 150 total yards on total offense. They shut their passing game completely down allowing maybe 70 yrds. To simply put it to answer your question yes, U C is that good.

It will be all Trenton in this game. Lake County will make a little noise but Trenton will come out on top at least 2 or 3 T D'Souza. The coaching, conditioning, fundamentals will all be a difference in the game for Trenton.

Trenton will.come out on top. I've seen both teams play on film. U C is that good, Lake County was just man handled that night by a hungry team. O C started late and was to much to over come. Conditioning and fundamentals bring a win home for Trenton. U C will be 3 - 0 after week 3 with a win "to be" over Houston County.

Union City is pretty young and has a great future the next several years.

Union City had NO issues with NCS and won state both years we played them. One year destroid them with 6 D1 players.

Westview loses by 21 or more. Westview line can handle what Trenton will put in front of them. Westview is lost without a simpson running the show. Back to reality.

9000 population. County does run busses in the City Limits of U C. Also, there are 3 high schools in Obion County, not 2. And, for that matter, why does trenton play 1A, McKenzie play 1a and Huntingdon play 2a. Henry county plays 5a. They have only one high school in their county. It is what it is. We play usj and teams like such to prepare our kids. Personally, I feel public and private should not cross over and play one another in schedule game fillers. Now, if Henry county wants to play usj, then go ahead. The Tornadoes wil be fine. Our focus is region teams, mainly Westview and Huntingdon. Go U C

Union City has to clean up having laundry around on the field. They will compete no doubt. USJ very likely best team U C will face all season just like last year. I like our chances, Union City.
