  1. Can someone at Sweetwater make sure the NFHS camera is working tonight??? lol
  2. Will be difficult to stop the running game. If Masingale is 100% though, Sweetwater will have a hard time stopping the passing game. Should be interesting to see. He has only played a handful of snaps. Arguably, his catch vs. Polk won that game and catch vs. Brainerd won that game as well. Changes the explosiveness when he plays.
  3. If Central plays at full potential they will win 28-14. If they wait to get going and spot Sweetwater a couple scores early, then they might not catch up this week. They have been inconsistent. If that continues I could see a Sweetwater 21-7 type of game. If Central comes out of the locker room ready then look out. They are much improved and have talented players up front and at the skill positions.
  4. This game used to be such a huge rival. 50 plus coacht pages of fun but now it's barely off the first page. Sad. Central rolls in this one. Passing game is too strong for Polk. jmo
  5. And that Tellico group was a heavy Sophomore group. Eagleton would beat Sequoyah by 2 TD's. JMO.
  6. Fought hard! Had our chances. Looks like a promising season though.
  7. You don't SERIOUSLY believe Sequoyah beats Tellico do you?
  8. Awesome!!! I can't wait to hear the news. They gonna let bygones be bygones? Ryan?!?
  9. Where do they go from here? Will the process start over? Who will be willing to accept the job?
  10. I understand what it is like to be in there shoes. I support coaches. They arent trying to lose. They are pouring their time and energy into these boys.
  11. Again, do the best with who gets off the bus.
  12. Seriously? You going to call out every coaching staff in the state? This could be considered SPAM! These coaches do a great job!
  13. It is hard to compete with the Alcoa's of the world. These rural schools get some talent in 5-8 year cycles that could compete against schools similar to them. Urban area schools like Alcoa draw in talent from all over the state and country. That is hard to compete against. Some schools have to deal with the fact that their best talent has the opportunity to move to Alcoa instead of stick with the hometown and that makes it difficult to compete. I am not complaining about Alcoa. They have done a great job building an attractive brand and maintaining that status. Kudos to them. It's just a fact that as long as Alcoa stands in the way, rural schools will have a difficult time making it to state. Kingston does the BEST it can with the talent it has. Yall have an excellent coaching staff. I wouldn't push them away. Grass isn't always greener. Good luck to your program.
  14. McMinn Central 67 Gatlinburg Pittman 59 I am concerned about the matchup. Chargerettes will have to shoot well from beyond the arc to win this one.
  15. Central has been rolling. It will be difficult for these girls as it is their first state appearance in 7 years. The glass house can be intimidating and it is a different environment for them. They might struggle out of the gate and start settling in 2nd half. GP (might have girls with glass house experience?) and that could be the determining factor. York is the team to beat, IMO. The ballhandling and shooting was superb when I saw them play in the Sparta tournament. Very impressed with their backcourt. I don't know the girl's name but she was unstoppable. The teams that can settle into the environment, control their emotions, and limit turnovers will win! The teams are so even that it will come down to focus and making the less mistakes. Good luck to all teams. I am excited to watch it unfold! Go Big Blue!
  16. Would be awesome if Zack got the job. It would be an intriguing opportunity as an assistant coach!
