  1. Montgomery Central @ Harpeth Stewart County @ Houston County Fairview @ Camden Cheatham @ Creekwood Lewis County @ Collinwood Waverly @ Perry County Hickman County @ Wayne County Not playing- East Hickman To get away from all the other talk on here. Who ya got?
  2. 28 all. Camden at SGC 7. 3rd and 1 with 3:13 to go.
  3. Waverly had 0 offensive starters in, in the 4th quarter. He could have run it in from the HC 10 with freshmen in the last 2 minutes of the game if he had chose to.
  4. You need to chill out. At the rate you're going every team in the district will have bulletin board material for Waverly games. Stewart County has a great coach in Finley. He is a proven winner. Using games from 2006-2008 proves absolutely nothing. Let's allow Waverly to play a couple of real games and hopefully get the season started off on a good note. I have been pleased with what I've seen so far, but there is still plenty of work to be done. On another note, congrats to MC on a big win tonight. Hopefully the rest of the district can get off to a solid, healthy start tomorrow (Camden Saturday).
  5. Thanks. Hopefully it will be minor, and he can pick up where he left off last year.
  6. I may have missed it, but any word on Fairview's Qb? I hate that he got injured.
  7. Waverly has lost to Wayne County 21-20, beat Bruceton 38-7 (varsity portion), and beat Mcewen 34-7 (played one half of varsity) this pre-season.
  8. Waverly won the varsity half 34-7. The 7 was a pick-6 on the 3rd or 4th play of the game. Jv won 1 score to 0 in their 20 minutes of play.
  9. Lewis County will be good as always, but it was online so I went ahead and posted it.

  11. Willis looked really good in the scrimmage against Waverly last night. He can really lay a hit on you. The varsity portion was 38-7 Waverly. I believe JV was 2 scores to 1 for Bruceton. Goodluck to you guys this year!
  12. I figured I would update you guys on how Waverly did last night to give you an idea of how you may compare to other 1A teams. We scrimmaged Bruceton last night, and the varsity portion was 38-7 Waverly. I still really believe your defense will be ok as the season goes on.
  13. No problem. There was quite a few passing yards piled up. The run game was there at times. I will say this, #4 for Bruceton is a player. The kid can stick you or run by you.
  14. Waverly beat Bruceton 38-7 in the varsity portion of the scrimmage tonight. On another note, if Camden is mediocre then I want to be as well.
  15. Wayne County beat Waverly 21-20 in varsity action. I think Wayne County won the JV portion 6-0. Wayne County had a couple of really good RB's. It was nice to finally see the pads go on, and I felt overall it was a positive scrimmage. Obviously, plenty of things to work on like every team.
  16. I'll answer you over here, instead of in the Waverly thread wildcats89. As far as Wayne County is concerned, your running backs are some of the most physical I've watched this past year or two. 14 and 21 appear to look for contact and enjoy it. The QB does a great job of waiting to the last second to pull the ball out of the RB's arm's on the read as well. Offensively, I imagine if those three stay healthy, it will be a long night for most teams defenses. Defensively, I know you guys are worried about the secondary, but if there is one thing we have right now, it is playmaker's at WR and RB. However, your pass rush was pretty strong. If the qb can't get time to throw, you can hide the secondary some. Last night, besides the screens and a quick hitter to #8 for a TD, which got called back, you never really saw us have a lot of time to sit in the pocket. The Qb was on the run. I don't know how strong A ball is, as I watch mainly AAA and AAAA, but I have a hard time seeing you guys really struggling too much. Hopefully everyone stays healthy, and you guys can make a good run in the playoffs this year. *Thought there was noticeable improvement from both teams since the spring.
