  1. You hit the nail on the head Hornet. I would put Collins in that discussion as well. Get rid of all 3 and the healing process can begin. The most sickening thing about Proffitt is that she is local and has done everything in her power to destroy the school system that her own children attended. She is simply an evil and vindictive person who has no business making decisions that have such a profound impact on the future of Cheatham county's youth.
  2. Curtis goes to Church? Add hypocrite to that list of coward, bully, and idiot.
  3. Can't wait to see Curtis and company squirm Monday night-if he even has the stones to show up at the meeting. Will CCCHS even have enough teachers to open the doors in August? The baying of the hounds must be getting louder and louder in your ears Stan. Your day of reckoning is coming soon!
  4. This is a very good hire for FHS. Wilson has always been successful at Harpeth and will continue to do so at Franklin. Congratulations to Coach Wilson and FHS!
  5. Cheatham County Central will have principal #5 in the past 9 years this fall, including 3 in the last 4 years. Talk about stability and wonderful hiring procedures! It is all part of the plan for the chumps at the central office. Keep putting people in positions to fail so they can always have a scapegoat and an excuse for poor results. Not enough people in Cheatham County care enough to do something about it. In a lot of places these scoundrels would have been sent packing long ago. Giving Curtis a ridiculous contract with a crazy buyout clause is just another of many examples of the stupidity of Collins and Proffitt. I am sure he, like Webb, promised to do their dirty work for a few years for a six figure salary.
  6. You have to be joking about Curtis, Webb, or the boe making a mistake! Just look at all the wonderful decisions they have made the past couple of years. The morale in the schools and the community has never been better and there are a plethora of Ivy Leaguers coming out of Cheatham county with the new focus on academics. Everything is just great now! Any educator or person who works with kids could tell you how horrible stability is in young people's lives! All jokes aside Barrow and many others have simply been set up to fail. To describe her transfer to the high school and all the other shuffling of personnel that seems to occur on an annual basis as idiotic is too kind. I could think of some more appropriate terms but they would be edited in this forum. The only semi-intelligent thing they have done recently is hire Coach Stuart as the new hoops coach at Cheatham, but it took another botched hiring and resignation within a week to achieve that result, so hard to give the current regime much credit for that. Still waiting for a football coach and i am sure that in light of recent events that Gruden, Saban, and Bear Bryant's ghost are salivating at the opportunity to coach at a place that receives so much support from the director and his cronies-not to mention the stability! Curtis and company are a real piece of work though. Maybe he and the board need to attend one of those anti-bullying workshops and take heed. They could sure use it! I will continue to post with impunity because I have no relatives or connection to Cheatham county schools and I WILL SPEAK THE TRUTH no matter how embarrassing it is for king Curtis and the others on Olympus-oops I mean Elizabeth St.
  7. The Cheatham County BOE and Director of Schools collectively couldn't figure out how to screw in a lightbulb without messing it up. They have botched and bumbled their way through virtually every decision that has been made since the idiotic hiring of Tim Webb. If you are an outsider looking in this is comedy at its finest, but if you have any ties to the school system it is frustrating, infuriating, and embarrassing. Just yesterday the newly hired football coach resigns and today a new basketball coach has been named at Cheatham. Just as in the football situation a committee was formed to search for a coach. The committee made recommendations and then Curtis ignored them and hired someone from the outside. These committees were a total farce. They were composed of people who are interested in doing what is best for the kids and the community, but were ignored because Curtis and his cronies DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE OF CHEATHAM COUNTY! They wind up with egg on their face as a result of their newly appointed football coach resigning after 2 weeks and then go and do the exact same thing with the basketball position on the same day. Sadly all of this comes on the heels of probably the best year of boy's athletics in school history. I hope they go slithering back to Coach Jackson and he tells them to go F*&^% themselves and moves on to a place where he can be treated the way he deserves. Coach Stuart has been an invaluable part of the basketball program for years, is recommended by the search committee, and then not only gets bypassed for the job he deserves, just like Jackson, but also finds this out from a 3rd party. The cowards in charge didn't have the decency to tell him face to face. The people of Cheatham County have 2 options-1) Go to board meetings, be a pain in Curtis and Collins' rear ends, and demand that things change or create it via the ballot box or 2) run like heck and move on to greener pastures. It is simply sad to watch a few morons screw up athletics in a system to the extent that these carpetbaggers have done. As usual the kids are the real losers here. I suppose it is just a coincidence that there is a mass exodus of coaches from Cheatham County. I am sure there will be more in the next few weeks, and then the idiots in charge can continue their reign of fear and stupidity. Good luck Cheatham County- you will need it!
  8. Saunders led Cheatham in scoring with 18 points. Not sure how he was a non factor. Cheatham has a lot of guys who can step up and have big games and they certainly didn't give up 88 points. In fact, Ravenwood had 29 going into the 4th quarter and I would imagine Cheatham's defense had something to do with that. Did Ravenwood have players missing last night that played against Waverly?
  9. Congrats to CPA on advancing to next week's semifinals. You guys have an outstanding team and program and I wish you the best of luck next week against Milan. I haven't seen Milan this year, but I guarantee they will have to play a heck of a game to beat a CPA team that is extremely talented, well-coached, and simply on a roll right now. The Cubs tried to do the same things that made them successful all season and to try otherwise would have surely produced an even more lopsided result. CPA was simply the better team last night and that would be hard for anyone in attendance to argue against. Don't think coaching had anything to do with the result, just guys like # 72, 6, 9, 22, 14, 7 and many others for the Lions. The Cubs gave it everything they had as always but it simply was not enough last night. CPA is very, very good! This was truly a magical season for the Cheatham Co. Cubs and one that will probably never be equaled. The Senior Class arrived when the program was struggling and took it to heights it has never before seen and made memories that will never be forgotten. Everyone associated with the entire program should be very proud of what you accomplished this year! Go Cubs!!
  10. Cheatham is still not at full strength either, as their football team continues to advance in the playoffs. I do think this will be a very competitive and improved District overall. Harpeth lost a lot of Seniors but has a rock solid core of guys back including Hurt, Anderton, Dole, and Newton. Waverly will be tough with a new style of play and Mullinicks and Etheridge back as well as some good young players. Creekwood could surprise some folks this year as well. They have Morgan and Plunkett back as well as some really good frosh and sophs. Camden could be a threat if Hudson gets healthy and gets back in playing shape soon-he is one of the top players in the District for sure. Cheatham will be tough though, with most of their key guys back and better than last year. Saunders will be one of the top players around and they have a bunch of guys with a lot of experience and athleticism. Should be a great year in 11AA!
  11. Ah yes, poor little CPA. They are at such a disadvantage with their minimal budget, no-name Coach, and inability to get the players they want. Cry me a river Coachrus. Next week in Ashland City we will see a true battle of the haves vs the have-nots(in regard to athletic budgets and top recruits). Hope the Little Cubs can pull a Hickory and win one for the little guy and keep their dream season alive. A team like this comes along once every few decades in Ashland City, whereas CPA can just go and hand pick some more star players from the entire Middle Tn area and do it again next year. Go Cubs!!!!
  12. Cubs rushed for over 580 yards and 9 td's. If they were the 4th best opponent I would hate to see how the top 3 looked. Huge rematch coming next week with Fairview in Ashland City. Go Cubs!
  13. Talk is cheap and the game is only a few hours away. Cheatham's district is not the toughest around, but Fairview or Camden would beat everyone on Grundy's schedule with ease. A stupid comment for sure to make to the newspaper. Wonder if his opinion will change after getting hit in the mouth tonight for 4 quarters? Go Cubs!
  14. No scoccer team at Cheatham, but I do think the kicker plays soccer. Hopefully they will have many opportunities to practice kicking extra points next week at Sycamore. Thanks to all the Fairview supporters on here for the kind words. You guys have a really good team and hopefully none of the injuries sustained tonight are too significant. Best of luck the rest of the year and maybe we will run into each other again come November.
  15. You would be hard pressed to find a better high school football game than the one I witnessed tonight at Cheatham County! Great atmosphere and a hard fought game between 2 very good teams that was in doubt until the very end. Fairview has some really good athletes and will have a very succesful season, but the Cubs were simply not going to be denied tonight. Cheatham won the battle in the trenches and got the job done in the 4th quarter. I have to believe that Cheatham's big o-line and power running game wore the Jackets down and the Cub defense made some monster plays to get off the field in short yardage situations. The backfield trio of Mitchell Potts, Dakota White, and Desmond Swett came up huge tonight in crunch time and will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year and congrats to the Cubs on a huge win to open the season!
  16. I suppose all 11aa teams except Harpeth should just go ahead and forfeit to the almighty powers from 12aa. You point out all of these good losses, but who are the good wins for these teams against? All 3 picked up 12 easy wins bc outside of the top 3 teams 12aa is pathetic. I would guess that any of those 6 teams would have finished last in 11aa. This is the best chance 11aa has had of advancing a couple of teams in quite some time. Good luck to all 11aa teams!
  17. I just hope you guys can beat Stewart County so that you will be around for the tourney this weekend. Your 7-5 District record and o-2 record against Cheatham doesn't scare anybody. I know you won't be around to talk trash on Sunday, because you will be in hiding after Cheatham stomps you again just like you were a couple of weeks ago. You should be concerned with SC and Waverly at this point anyways.
  18. You were probably guarding him when he lit you guys up for 19 the 1st time you played. He is a sophomore and better than anybody on your sorry team. Sounds like jealousy to me. Would love to see Harpeth and Cheatham play again on Saturday so I can laugh at your excuses some more next week after you take a 3rd butt-kicking at the hands of the Cubs. Keep on hatin chump!
  19. He is the leading scorer for the best team in the district. At least he doesn't play for an "average team" like Harpeth! You guys played the game of your lives in your own gym and Cheatham still owned you!
  20. No, this year, next year, the year after that..... Harpeth's time has come and gone ksgovols. Cheatham owns this district now and I am looking forward to Harpeth's "Trail of Tears" for the next few years. Hope you don't come out "flat" tomorrow night like you did in football or it could be over before the weekend for your Injuns.
  21. Harpeth better focus on Stewart County or they will be watching Cheatham play this weekend in street clothes. As I have said before - Harpeth equals biggest bunch of crying sore losers in Tennessee. And btw - Cheatham owns you!
  22. Harpeth = biggest bunch of crying sore losers in TSSAA!
  23. Ungracious hosts? Suspicious? Eyeing the camera crew? I am sure Cheatham was determined to keep the Harpeth ihigh people from broadcasting. Why would they do that? Where did Harpeth broadcast from last year at Cheatham? What a bunch of crybabies! Never once heard this whining when Harpeth was winning, but Cheatham beats them and now this. You lost so move on whiners!
  24. Waverly would beat McEwen like a drum.
  25. Hahahahaha! You Harpeth fans crack me up. Congrats on that win last week over perennial 3a powerhouse Sequatchie. This week will be more reminiscent of the beatdown you endured a couple of weeks ago in Ashland City. I wonder what the excuse will be come Saturday morning: "Flat," Food poisoning from pregame meal, bad officiating, or some other lame excuse? Your arrogance makes it easy to pull for the Firebirds in this one. 28-0 Pearl Cohn.
