I agree with both posts. This is our first year living here and Riverdale football program is a huge improvement from where we lived before. It is great to see such a young team play at the level they are playing. It will be interesting on how the coaches develop them over then next two years. Symrna I felt played better than Oakland. Playoffs will be interesting.

I sure do hope I am not sitting by you after all that chile you are going to eat. How about you sitting on the other side of the field and letting Smyrna have your wrath. LOL

I deserve that. It was a closer game than you thought and I thought it would be. I am sure you were sweating after Riverdale started to play some offense half way thru the 2nd quarter, and later when the game was tied. How many starters at Oakland are seniors? It appeared to me they have the biggest front line that I have seen so far this year. Don't know if that is accurate. This was the best game I have seen at the high school level. Can't wait till next year! Hope they have exit traffic controlled better, or I will have to plan to have post game tailgate party.

I wonder if Oakland coaching staff would like to sell their T-Shirts of last years 2 defeats after this game is over, or should they just add another Riverdale winning score and wear them next year. GO WARRIORS

I agree 100%, what I have read from your posts you are always right on track. I just want my kids to learn not to fall in the trap that it is someones else fault if they didn't win. Sports is a great teacher of life. GO WARRIORS!

Fun to watch the game, but if Riverdale plays with the same level as last night next Friday night is going to a long night. I have faith that Coach A has a strong plan for next Friday. Not complaining but don't blame the ref's calls, we should be good enough that it doesn't make a difference what the calls are.

This was our first game to watch as we just moved to middle TN from another state. Coach Aydelott said it right when he said this is a young team and they have to improve more to be at championship level. It is going to be fun to watch a So. quarterback, Woodruff, a Fr. running back, Odum, and even the Jr.'s that are making the plays both defense and offense, Odum, Davenport. I notice that in the 3rd qtr Antioch finally stopped #33 Gosie from blitzing every play. When they put someone to block him is when they were able to get their passing game on target and scored. After which the defense stopped using Gosie from blitzing and Antioch self destructed again. It is a joy to be able to watch talent of High School at this level. I can see that the coaches have taught and trained these kids and I believe that the team will be a winning team this year, maybe not a trip to State Finals but will have a respectable record.
