Any reasons why you think that Goat?

I have not seen SP play this year, but I have seen the Warriors. I dont think the Warriors have a very good team, but will benefit from their schedule. From what I have heard SP is not as good this year as years past. We will see this Friday night. Im expecting a close game for a half maybe. I think SP will pull away just because of the talent factor. The Warriors are not on that level yet, but I do think they finally can have something positive to build on.

I dont think its really about SP. It is more about how weak the valley is. Its really bad. Its good to see Jasper win a few games but in all reality everyone knows they are still down too. Even a weaker SP team will have no problem with any valley team. Even though I think the game will be close for a half next week just because SP has been starting off slow this year.

So SP is not going to be good this year? Your killing me Ambassador at least say great.

Watching the 1st half I could tell a big difference in play calling from last year. Those WRs look like they could go up and catch a ball, but they never throw it deep. Why is the play calling so conservative? From the looks of things this team was way overrated. Congrats to Tyner. Man if Signal would have seen one of those old school teams tonight from Tyner this thing would have got ugly quick.

Doing things to keep the mercy rule off your mind I see.

Because we beat them. I dont care about people returning. Until they beat SP then SP is the team to beat. I think we returned just enough to get the job done. With that being said its early in the season. Lets just take it one game at a time. You can tell this is a thread against Grundy. They are still stuck playing Sega Genesis and when they are on the internet if someone calls it knocks them off so I dont guess they can make it to the website in time before dial up disconnects.

I am not in town so I haven't got to see the highlights but this one came out of nowhere! This is why the game is played on the field not paper. Anything can happen on any given night.

We need to have just a thread about SP teams in the past. To get back on topic we need some opinions from the people that went to the jamboree. I didnt attend but I heard the scores. The 2nd game suprised me a little bit. You cant really put much into the jamboree though with the scores. I remember Jasper beat us in Sequatchie one year then we beat the crap out of them in the regular season. I did hear that Signal put 21 up on Central, and the first play was a 70 yard touchdown.

Who do you think they will lose to besides SM? I heard Boyd was going to be tough, but I think they are beatable. From September 21 to the last game of the season is a pretty tough stretch with the exception of Whitwell.

Good article. It will be nice to see what he can do if he can stay healthy. As long as he stays healthy SP will be tough to stop in the 1A playoffs, and I think the backfield can lead SP back to the Championship game.

Oh ok you are talking about the previous year. My bad. That was one of the best high school games I have ever seen. Even though I prefer the Boyd & Tyner games from a few years back because we actually came out on top. Oh yeah we lost by 4 get your scores right.

Nothing to really argue about. Signal was going to beat us regardless of any adjustments the coaches made. Its a new season though so lets just hope we can keep that game closer this year. The only thing that matters though is the Championship. We could have beat Signal and it still would have not been a complete season. Hopefully we can bring the title back to SP this year.

Yeah but against the tougher teams on the schedule we will have to keep them honest. Especially if our offensive line is as weak as everyone is saying that I have talked to. Against all the 1A teams on the schedule we will be able to run all over them because our offensive line will not have to be that special, and those two guys that we have in our backfield will make a few guys miss to say the least.

Dont say that. TN will suprise you this year, and even if they have been down the last few years you should still be excited to watch! Im going to get on you next time I see you Sportman!
