If they stop it, they've beat our best shot. By throwing it, you're not playing to your strength. Still, we came out in the second half, ran the kickoff back, and then gave it all away. LA did as they pleased. Yea, it was over in the third quarter, all right. Lots of work to do, offense, defense, and coaching. Keep your heads up, boys! We'll be alright.

First off, while the playcalling wasn't exactly well mixed, it wasn't the reason SC lost. Sometimes you go with what's working and you end up going to the well once too often. That's about all you can say in criticizing the playcalling. Second, scheduling had nothing to do with SC losing either. Unless you have a crystal ball, you don't know what a team is going to do or how good or bad they're going to be when you schedule them. Teams you expect to be creampuffs can turn things around or simply get on a roll and beat you when you don't expect them to. SC lost because of 4 costly turnovers and 3 or 4 plays that either just missed or didn't go their way. It was a 6 point game. One score. Even after all the mistakes, one more would have done it and they had it within their grasp. No shame. PC was a terrible draw because they are that good. Not a typical 8 seed. Good year Owls. Let's do it again next fall.

Had to take the weekend to digest the GHS game. Hope the boys did too. Mistakes lost it and almost cost SC. Great effort by Gville, though, they came prepared. On to LA, stick together, minimize the mistakes, prepare, and RELAX! Too much forced last week. Take what they give and give nothing up cheap. SC rebounds and puts it together.

After they ran the opening kickoff back, I said "Ive seen this scenario before". If you recall, York ran the opener back last year. SC took the lead until the late long pass and...well, you know the rest. As CPA pointed out, blown coverage on Nuss (I believe) allowed him to get us to the 5 and set up the winning kick. Ain't karma great! Great game. Two outstanding teams. Hats off to #42, good lookin ball player; size and speed! Also # 3, fast,fast, fast! Nice start to the playoffs, keep it rolling, boys...!

I went to private school, I see the hallowed halls of the Ensworth Academies, I see the poor attitude kids on the sidelines whose coach is tryin to explain why he just fumbled and how he may prevent it from happening again but kid ain't listenin. I am not opposed to the public/private split, if the school in your district sucks you should have recourse to send your child elsewhere. I'm not a fan of the big private schools snatchin up kids from wherever and givin em scholarships like some kind of college program and that's the only point I was tryin to make. Where you come up with this alledged bigotry I don't know. Bigotry is when you judge someone for their deficiencies like, mmm, only having been around long enough to post 10 times or less.

Thought I might like to see one of the private schools on the schedule. Let em see what community and family are about instead of who recruited who, but the point was made that they don't bring nothin to the gate so, ah well, let em keep thinkin that that's what HS football is in their state of the art facilities, playin w/ kids they don't even know their name, eatin prime rib instead of dogs & burgers. I do like the idea of Lebanon or Gallatin. Watched Hendersonville vs Beech on the off week, like to take a shot at one of them.

Now hold on Macon Co fan, props to ur 2 RBs they were electric, BUT...Smith Co was not out X & O'd tonight. The plays were stopped at the point of attack, but the boys in black couldn't hold on tonight. 21 & 29 got everything they got cuttin back and improvising from there. Job well done. The Owls played horrible, plain & simple. U got away with one.

I'm hearing "this team isn't as talented as last year" alot. Don't know if I agree or not. Surely, this team is disciplined on defense, that's coaching. And, further, to be honest, the size isn't there, but talent? I don't see the drop off. Just different names. So, let me ask y'all...is SC this good or haven't they played anyone to really test 'em yet?
