What about #5, is he going to be able to play this week? It looked like he was knocked out for a minute after he took a brutal hit. I hope he will play, hate to see him miss the game after having a good year like he has.

I really like the play calling Coach Jenkins has been doing lately by mixing it up and confusing the defense and I hope he continues against TH. You are right, Boone needs to continue playing brutal football and play like TH called their mother names and take it out on them.

Thanks for agreeing that Boone is playing better ball, because that was the issue at hand. No one is saying Boone is counting TH out, we are saying Boone is playing great ball the last 4 games and have confidence they will continue. I believe someone should show how good they are and not talk it, so I am going to talk it and let Boone do the showing.

I agree that would make a good game. The point I was making about the Science Hill game was Boone handled them with a solid win and the South team that beat Boone 41-16 in week 4 had a close game with SH. You are right though, scores are hard to judge teams, but when you are talking to someone like Redneck that probaly has not seen Boone play since South game and someone like myself that has watched the scrimmages and all the games, then who would someone believe which one knows what they are talking about?

The opinion of Redneck said since we played South, I proved Boone's case that they are playing better ball, not that they are better than South.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and since you shared yours about Boone than this is mine. You say Boone is no better since they played South, well just to compare results and playing the same team let's look at Science Hill. South beat SH 28-21 with SH having a chance to tie it up at the end of the game. Boone beat Science Hill 28-14 after having 21-0 lead, 28-7 lead, and finally 28-14 with Boone driving at the end of game down to SH's 15 and taking a knee three plays in a row. So my opinion is that you don't know what you are talking about in your opinion.

Finally someone talking some sense on this thread. I thought I had logged into a kindergarden chat room for awhile. Come on WaCoJaCo, let's talk about how those Indians are going to win it all and leave that mess alone. Roll Tribe for your sake and all of East Tennessee!

Hey Cap, good to hear from you, I am picking Boone to win this game because I think they are playing outstanding ball the last 4 games and I don't count TH out. In a earlier post I wanted to encourage TH team and fans to do like Boone after they took their beatings and play good ball. I would like to see TH at their best, that way if they beat Boone than the better team won and if Boone wins, then TH can make no excuses why they got beat. Boone is scoring by a lot more than the sneak, they are scoring with passes, pitch outs, draws, screens, runs off the tackles, etc.... That is not counting the ints and fumbles that the defense is causing. Hopefully TH brings their best and Boone plays their best, then no excuses, best team wins.

I thought the same way with #9 matching up with Downs. He is big and quick and I believe Boone will be on him like a duck on a junebug. I'm sure the coaches will make sure he is well covered at all times. What is great about Boone's offense is they have so many playmakers. At running backs they have #23 who will leave you laying on your back wondering what happen when you try to tackle him, #20 and #5 who will speed by you or fake you out of your jock strap, #11 and #26 who run over you. At QB you have #16 who will drag 2 or 3 players down field on his back before going down or burn you with the pass, #10 who will pick a defense a part with the pass. The front line is knocking the d lines back every play and looking great. Defense is playing great with a lot strength and quickness. No reason Boone should lose this game unless they beat themselves with turnovers. Boone 31 TH 17

Where are you Cap? Hey Boone took two beatings just like TH and bounced back to play the best football they have played all year. According how each team has played against the same oponents this should be a great game. Lets talk some football Cap and here some inside info of what you think the Vikings will do.

It is great to hear everyone's opinion who are the best teams in East TN, but it don't matter a hill of beans who is the best against the other classes. What I would like to see is everybody in East TN. get behind the teams in our area who are playing in the playoffs and encourage them to bring home the title. These are teenage kids on every team and we should support them no matter what team they play on. So let's man up and swallow pride and pull for East Tennessee teams.

Gratulations to Boone football team and their coaches for the win. The team looked great by moving the ball on offense with the run and pass. The defense played great and I think the whole team is playing together and will be ready to get after the Vikings next week. I hope Volunteer does good the next two games and I hope number #5 is doing well.

Great night for High School football, I hope all the players enjoy and take in all the excitement of playing football while they have the opportunity. Some of us men are sitting watching you play thinking about the days past and wishing we could suit up and play. If any of you Boone guys don't feel like getting after Volunteer tonight then let me know, I wouldn't mind just getting dressed out and stand beside Coach Jenkins asking him to let me play linebacker just one more time. Get after Volunteer, no let downs and no more defeats. GO BOONE!!!!

I believe DB has the potential to go deep in playoffs and win state. I have talked with some guys on the 6a thread and most are not giving DB a chance and say they will choke. DB team needs to believe they are as good as any team in the state and can beat them, especially Maryville. Most of the problem of trying to beat a good team is not be determined mentally and playing with confidence. Boone has experienced this with South and I look forward to the day that Boone gets the monkey off their back. This is DB's year to show the state how good they are and that they are the team to beat, not Maryville or any other.

Any team can win at any given time, you never know. Central has a gifted QB, but I can't see SC's line holding TH's line up long enough to give him time to throw. Plus if SC has not worked on shotgun snaps in order to keep #12 from digging them out of the ground he will be even more limited on time to look down field. I believe TH will get a win in this one 42-14.

I believe Boone's confidence and leadership have been a key to their last three games. SH reminded me of Boone when they came out after half time of the South game. There was no fire and emotion, they were just down by 4 (Boone/South game) and they looked like they were already beat. It is great to see the seniors showing leadership and I think if they stay focused they will win out and make a showing in the playoffs. This is the kind of Boone ball we all knew they could play.

Just a reminder about the team from the east, Dobyns-Bennett, should finish season undefeated and then use their size and speed to have a good shot at winning the state.

It would be great to see a rematch between South/Boone, I think there would be less mistakes from both teams which would make a better game. The seats are still there and I would think they will leave them until after the season. Thurday night should be a great game, I believe SH will have hard time containing Haden and as a result South 28 and SH 21.

It was confusing, because SH called a time out and on the clock it did not show SH having any left and I was looking for a flag.
