The cold weather really hurt Oneida last year and CAK the year before that. It hurt those teams alot. Cloudland purty much rolled over them. The weather has nothing to do with it, unless maybe a team from West TN comes and plays Cloudland in late December through early February.

Johnson Co. is probably the worst team that I have ever seen. They can't play with the #2 team in the state. HaHa, what a joke. MW 100 JC 0

I like how everyone is talking about the 2001 Cloudland team like they were no good. You say that they were just strong and had no speed. Mark Byrd is the fastest and quickest player that I have ever seen. Dakota Benfield was not all that slow neither. And if I remember correctly they murdered all of these "fast" teams like SOUTH PITT, boy they put up a good fight.

I have learned to believe that anything can happen in this game that we call football, ever since the big upset on Roan Mountain a couple of years ago. The Highlanders showed so much heart and determination (that KING keeps talking about) when they were the #1 team in the state, and were beaten by a #4 region seed which was a 5-5 CAK team, in the 1st round, AT HOME. Man that's heart right there, I'll tell you. But ever since that night, I have learned that anything can happen.

Region 2 is very deep. THey are a much stronger conference than our Region 1. Even though I hope Cloudland will win, I do not believe that they will. They are to banged up. Hampton just physically beat them up. But I hope that I am wrong. Midway 20 Cloudland 12

I really do not think that Cloudland can beat Midway.

Harriman 42 Cosby 8 Region 2 is much stronger than region 1. I just hope that Hampton can beat Harriman in the 2nd round.

I do not believe that Sunbright will be able to stop Hampton's running game and I also do not believe that Sunbright can throw the ball any better than the Happy Valley team that Hampton has already beaten. I believe Adam Townsend will get anothe 150 yards and the Dawgs will win rather easily. But it will not be nearly as easy in the 2nd round.

I believe that if Hampton's line and defense keeps playing great and they keep giving Adam Townsend the ball, they could probably go to the 3rd or maybe even 4th rounds. People from Hampton and Cloudland are talking about meeting again in the 3rd round. I realyy don't think that will happen. I do not think that Cloudland can beat Midway much less Coalfield, and I also believe that it will be really hard for Hampton to beat Harriman in the 2nd round thats if they come to play against Sunbright. Our region is just so weak. It is the weakest region in the state of Tennesee. I would like to see how we would fair in Region 2. GO DAWGS!!!!

Adam Townsend of Hampton is very deserving of this award, but he is only a junior so he won't have a chance this year. He broke the schools rushing record last night with about 1,500 yards on the groung, he has (I think) 22 TD's, and should have a better season next year.

I think the 4 teams in Carter Co. did really well this year. I really would like to see the Bulldogs line up against the Cyclones right now because Hampton is a much better team now than when Johnson Co. beat them in the first game. Can anbody tell me why the most of the county teams don't play each other? I know Hampton plays Unaka, Cloudland, and Happy Valley. But I would like to see some other matchups. Hampton vs. Elizabethton, Cloudland vs. Happy Valley, and Happy Valley vs. Elizabethton. A couple of years ago these games were played except for the Elizabethton and Hampton game. I was wondering why they stopped.

Thanks Pujo, I asked a bunch of people today and couldn't find out how many yards Adam had. And the thing about Jellico, I can garuntee you that you didn't see Hampton's first string offense. If I am not mistaken, that is the game that Adam Townsend had 5 rushes for 138 yards and 3 TD's. Although he had those stats, 5 rushes isn't really seeing a first string running back.

I am glad Hampton pulled this one out. They were the better team tonight and they have been the better team all year long. Even though I believe that Cloudland played as good as they possibly could (because they would never be able to pass the ball like that again), I have to give credit to the Landers for playing so hard. The hitting last night was absolutley great on both sides. I seen Adam Townsend take a couple of hits that I thought he wouldn't get up from and I also saw Jon Potter lay a ferocious hit on somebody(that was the play that both teams got those unsportsmanlike conduct penalties). It was a great game to watch. GO DAWGS!!! By the way does anybody know how many yards Townsend rushed for last night. I know he had all 3 TD's and I am positive that he broke B.J. Taylor's rushing record at Hampton. But I was just wondering exactly how many had.

Here's the way it will happen. Hampton wins 1st round. Harriman wins 1st round. Hampton beats Harriman. Cloudland beats Midway. (close) Coalfield wins. Coalfield beats Cloudland. In the 3rd round it will be Hampton vs. Coalfield. This will be a great game if Hampton can take care of business because I am purty sure (from what I hear) that Coalfield will be able win in the first 2 rounds. I would loove to see this matchup. It would be great.

I have 2 questions. First of all, how is Cloudland supposed to stop Adam Townsend. Nobody has even come close to stopping him yet?It's funny that Cloudland thinks they can. 2nd of all, where is THE KING at? I figured he would be on here talking this whole week. Hmm... I guess he's just got a little scared.

I do not think that this game will be that close. I believe anybody that has seen both teams play, knows who will win this game. I believe the Dawgs will win rather comfortably. I may get hated on now, but come Friday morning, everybody will see what I am talking about. The Dawgs are just too talented at every position. Ask Pujo, he knows what I am talking about.
