I like Greeneville. Spent 4 years in Johnson City, and I love that part of the state. However, depending on quads and seeds (and a whole lot of other unknowns), a game between Signal and Greeneville would most likely be played on Signal Mountain. As the Hermit says, "Crow ain't too bad if ya got enough hot sauce and cold beverage." I've eat crow before and probly will again before I die.

First day in pads was impressive. Love how the defense is starting to gel. Also impressed with the freshman class. Looks like we got playmakers up and down the roster. I almost feel sorry for our opponents this year. People gonna be suprised by the 2011 version of the Eagles.

As Smeags has said, don't believe what people might say about us bein' fighters. There is alot more to the history between Soddy and Signal, and hopefully, that is all behind us now. Our guys just play hardnosed, intense football, as you would expect from a Bill Price team. We've never had a player ejected for fighting (neither has Coach Price in all his years) and not really many unsportsman like penalties for pushing and shoving. But...the guys don't take it from nobody. I hope you will be impressed after the game that our program and our players are a class act. Blackman was my first choice when we were trying to fill our non-district schedule, and from the sound of it, looks like yall got a great chance of being in CookeVegas this year. I'm looking forward to our trip to the Boro, and I hope to see a good, hardnosed, exciting game.

If anybody can afford to payoff the refs, it would be us rich yuppies. But...don't think that's gonna be required. We can play smashmouth football with the best of 'em. Your fellers better get an extra helpin' of beans and taters, and strap 'em up tight when that sissy mountain bus comes rollin' into Benton.

We just wanted to play muffins this year. That's why we scheduled Polk Co.

If any of them want to seek asylum when yall is up the Mountain Week 1, I'll be glad to assist.

Mitchell will definitely be a contender this year, and I suspect they will be in CookeVegas. Nothing personal to you, BRB, but it should be obvious by now that we don't care what you or anybody else thinks of us or our coaches. I'm just saying.

That's a great idea, Goat. I'll make sure that is a codicil to my will, when I leave huge sums of money to the Eagle's Football program. Hope Coach Price don't read this, or he might knock me off for the money.

Tyner always has great athletes, and Coach Turner always seems to get the most out of them. Looks like they lost 10 seniors from last year's team. Any word on how things are shaping up for 2011?

I've been waiting for East Hamilton to excel. Hopefully, this year will be a good one for y'all. But dude, get real about our programs the past two years. SM 49-EH 0 SM 48-EH 10 SM 23-2 EH 2-17 As for next year's non-district opponents, I would take Blackman over Bradley Central and Polk County over Ooltewah. Guess we'll find out Week O who has the stronger team. Better strap 'em up when you head up the Mountain.
