  1. Hoping for a clean game tonight, but I think the Pirates speed and Sequatchie's lack of offense give Pitt the win. Sequ. 13 SPitt 27
  2. Think it was late 80's early 90's, he was on the team that went undefeated in 1990
  3. I'll take the same picks except Whitwell by 20+ over Grundy and Pitt over Sequatchie 27-13
  4. Id put SC and Bledsoe 3a & 3B right now, look evenly matched. That game will be a dog fight as always
  5. Whitwell had all their backs, Marion is just on a whole different level than the rest on the valley. Pitt really impressed me, energy was back with everyone flying to the ball. The big difference is the speed that is back on offense. Expected LV and Grundy to struggle, but Whitwell laid an egg and if Sequatchie doesnt shut people out with there defense they may not win a game. The offense is pitiful.
  6. Sequatchie JV over Marion 6-0 and tied Bledsoe 0-0. Grundy lost to SPitt 14-0 and tied Lookout Valley 0-0. Sequatchie has still yet to pick up a score this preseason with the varsity. Run defense was stout again versus Bledsoe. Grundy is so young, has a freshman QB who can run the veer, just no team speed.
  7. Its a shame that a coach would feel this way, and nobody gains an advantage from filming a game played in Pikeville as the press box is not high enough. Another reason, besides the parking that I would argue on rotating the games between Dunlap and Jasper. No offense to you or the other schools, just those are better equipped to handle that much of a crowd.
  8. Sequatchie has Marion and Bledsoe tonight Grundy has SPitt and Lookout Valley
  9. He has played in a straight drop back system so far, an had a line that knew how to pass block. This scheme is different and the lineman for Sequatchie have NEVER had to pass block. That's the biggest reason for the run/pass difference so far. Reason I said the Soph. looked a better fit is because he is more mobile.
  10. The real question for Sequatchie is will the QB transfer be the QB, he has struggled badly so far and the Soph. QB looks a better fit
  11. 20-7 Gordon Lee, 7-0 for varsity. Each team had 1 good drive, Sequatchie's 1st went all the way down the field with #7 running until and INT inside the 10. Offense was shut down the rest of the half. Defense was strong to start not giving up a single 1st down until the last drive of the half and GL adjusted and really went down the field with ease.
  12. Sequatchie @ Gordon Lee (GA) defense shut GL down the whole 1st half until the final possession and they drove 80 yrds for a TD. Sequatchie moved the ball on the ground #7 is for real but an INT at the goal line kept them scoreless.
  13. Wasn't much of a scrimmage, more of a practice. Sequatchie stopped Marion on the ground eventhough Marion had to wait on Sequatchie in the huddle. Marion hit several big pass plays. Sequatchie didnt move the ball much at all on offense. New QB was 2-5 passing with a INT. Bright spot for Sequatchie continues to be the LB's, all over the field with big hits.

Sequatchie's record isnt great but are hot right now after winning the Red Bank tournament against Ooltewah. Only 1 senior on this years team.
  15. 31-30 at half, Notre Dame jumped up 10
  16. Sequatchie will lose 6 seniors who saw playing time. As many as 10 sophomores started on defense and more in the 2 deep. QB, and 2 of 3 main RB return, along with 3 linemen and 2 TE. Plenty of experience and depth returning for who ever the new coaching staff may be.
  17. Roy has given up on that Rankin man since he got knocked off Murphys pole and replaced him with that Martin man who is now on top. Roy you suppose to stay loyal to one man.
  18. Marion has one of the most physical defenses in the area, and are very opportunistic. Would put them only behind Notre Dame. Just my opinion, have been looking forward to this game since last year.
